The firm followed every proper legal channel and applied the right pressure to force the HOA to respond and produce the documents (some) they had been avoiding for years. The case ultimately went to mediation, where I was able to recover most of the money I had spent up to that point. While I didn't walk away with additional compensation (which was disappointing after such a long battle) Ahmet reminded me that a successful mediation is often one where neither side feels completely satisfied. He was right, and I appreciated the honesty. Today, I've had to rehire the firm because the HOA failed to comply with part of the settlement agreement. At this stage, with all the groundwork already done, I'm confident the process will move much faster.
