VERY DISSPOINTED! My clothes were scheduled for Friday drop off; however, it's Sunday, and I have not received them. I called this morning, and they threw my doorman under the bus when, in fact, they had not had the clothes delivered yet. I get things happen; however, I had to call and ask why this happened. But we've had consistently great service on our clothes, blankets, etc., the prices are decent (not the cheapest but also not the most expensive), and the turnaround times are very reasonable. Unfortunately I've had too many clothing items ruined by the tailoring here that I have no choice but to share a negative review to warn others. I had a leather jacket that I requested to have the sleeves shortened, and because they shortened it from the shoulder (which they denied) the jacket no longer fit me. When I confronted them about this they accused me of gaining weight...within a week?! Another example is this pair of Marc By Marc Jacobs pants which I asked to be shortened--I'll let the picture speak for itself. I am now learning how to sew better so that I can fix the work they did. It's unfortunate because they do good work sometimes, but other times they also ruin things. read more

Ever since my previous drycleaner was closed to make way for one of the new buildings in Forest Hills, I have used Benjamin Cleaners and I have been extremely happy. During the current COVID-19 situation I wasn't sure whether or not to do laundry in my own building. I saw on their website that they were still open and so I called them and they picked up 50 pounds of laundry up on a Friday afternoon and all my clothes came back perfectly cleaned and folded Sunday morning. The icing on the cake was that they found a credit card in one of my pockets and they put it in a separate bag and attached it to my big laundry bag. Over the past two years they have done an efficient job thorough job of laundering dress shirts and dry cleaning pants. Now I know they are great choice for wash and fold too. read more

The new owners of this store are certainly not up to the standards of the former owner (Manny's then Benjamin were both sold). We have been using Manny's stores for years. Recently, we brought in some shirts. Upon pickup, they told us they did us a favor and didn't launder one of them because the sleeve was torn. (It actually looked like it had been cut and we certainly didn't bring it in that way). We ignored because perhaps somehow it got cut/torn in transit. Then my husband put on one of the clean shirts -- same cut in the same place - left lower sleeve. Clearly they cut both shirts somewhere in the process. When I brought the shirts back, they said they would look into reimbursing us for two ruined dress shirts. When we came back, they said that, since they send them out, there was nothing they could do and the manager agreed with the woman at the counter. Well, there is something we can do --- never use them again. Unbelievable that they could disrespect 20+ year customers over two shirts that they destroyed. At this point, it's about the service and the attitude, not the cost of the two shirts. read more

My fancy designer coat's real leather on the elbow got so wrinkled and stiff...they didn't professionally trim leather. Also it has so many dirts now, which makes me so shocked now. I'm wondering how this happen to be dirtier than before when I gave it to them for dry clean. (It didn't have any dirts before. I just wanted dry clean to keep the winter coats in closet in good-conditions until the next winter) I'm so mad about how they ruined my expensive and one of favorite coats. It is clearly a successful business, they are busy and sometimes the pick up and delivery van comes pretty late at the end of the day- but that is my only complaint. I can't give this place a poor enough review!! I purchased several white Brooks Brother's shirts for my husband and after removing the packaging and pins, took them in to this cleaner to be laundered. When I arrived to pick up the shirts, there were long black lines across the back of each shirt and the cleaner rudely accused me not pointing out that the shirt had a "pen stain" or a "belt mark" on it. I explained that they were brand new shirts that simply needed to be laundered and pressed. After quite a scene, he offered to clean the shirts again. When I picked them up, I noticed brown marks on the front of the shirts! He refused to re-launder the shirts again and said it must have been something that my husband had in the pocket that caused the stain! They were rude and informed me it was out of their control because the work was done off-site! DISGUSTING---I've never been to a cleaner that leaves your clothing dirtier than it was brought in!!! read more

I would like to warn everybody in our community of the disgraceful cleaners that we have that actually does not clean your clothing but throws your stuff in the washing machine. Pretends like he is actually dry cleaning all of your things when In reality it's being thrown into a washing and drying machine. Take a close look at all your clothing and you will see that it has been washed in the machine and not dry cleaned at all. I gave in so many of my gorgeous dresses only to have them all ruined and when confronting the owner he didn't even apologize or offer me any type of refund I left his store crying. I am so heartbroken that all my things have been ruined by this unprofessional and unapologetic person with no heart for his customers. No way I can wash my Tommy Bahama silk shirts, with their delicate care, ironing, and "do not dry clean" instructions. Got two for my birthday, and had another two way overdue for cleaning. I was frustrated and intimidated. I only used the laundry pick-up and drop off service and it was my first and last time. Whoever I spoke with on the phone neglected to tell me when it would be delivered nor did he ask me about my payment preference. I got a random call when I wasn't home from my doorman to tell me that I had a laundry delivery and the man wouldn't leave unless he was paid. He also refused to take the laundry back and come back later when I was home. I'm at work which isn't close by - and they're supposed to take credit card, so I said I would call the store and give them that info to charge me. They said no - the store is closed and so I can't do that. My doorman was kind enough to pay them out of his own pocket for me but this kind of service is not acceptable whatsoever. read more

We had good hopes for this cleaners but one three separate occasions they have ruined our work clothes. 1. They over ironed pants leaving deep white marks all over them 2. One two separate articles of clothing are bleached dots all over them 3. The back collar of two shirts have completely torn. We called them and told them about #1 hoping they would be more careful with our clothing, but after they ruined so many of our clothes we won't be going back. read more

I also had a similar experience here, I bought a black pleated skirt in for dry cleaning and pressing and received it back with a large white spot in the front, like detergent or paint, when i got it back. Still in their wrapper, I bought it back and they said it was not their fault and were so rude to me and did not offer to re-clean. They ruined a $70 skirt and lost a customer.
