Came here to drop off some items for dry cleaning on a Wednesday morning around 7am and I love the vibe of this neighborhood in the early morning... it's so refreshing. The street parking was easy and there's a dog park nearby. The customer service was friendly and helpful. I wish they have a price chart for all items but the cashier said they don't and it's based on their experience, which makes no sense. The customers should have the right to know what their items will cost ahead of time. The throw blanket was $45 and the cropped trench jacket was $24.50. Dropped off Wednesday morning and pick up is the following Tuesday afternoon. Pay cash to avoid 3.5% credit card fee. I like how the cashier was honest and told me I can throw my throw blanket in the washing machine due to its material, which I agree 100% but I wanted the furs to be fluffy so opted for dry cleaning. read more

Great cleaners! Most times I visit, I often see the same guy behind the counter. I assume he's the owner and it looks like he's a one man show most days. There isn't much in terms of conversation generally but whatever is exchanged is on point and totally efficient. I've never had any issues with any of my items, nor with drop offs or pickups. Everything I've brought in to be cleaned has been well done and on time. The prices might be a little high, dry cleaning seems to be big business these days, but the fact that it's organic and probably one of very few in the area is nice. Jimmy always provides friendly, efficient service and my clothes always end up looking clean and fantastic. It's one of the few organic dry cleaners in Queens. Street parking is available. The prices are comparable to other organic dry cleaners. You get what you pay for. Now that we're all going out more, I hope to bring more clothing for dry cleaning. Brought my winter coat in to get it dry cleaned and I think I've found my go to cleaners. Asking for a quote was easy. I just texted them and asked for a quote on my jacket. Jimmy asked about the jacket and told me the price. SUPER easy and convenient. Parking around the area is also really easy. I was able to find street parking both times (dropping off and picking up). My coat was ready at the time he said it would be ready. It came super clean and looks brand new. I know it's nothing much but he also makes you feel like a "regular". Although it was my first time, he greeted me by my name when I went in and he also remembered me from my text message inquiry. Although I have a preferred dry cleaner based on close proximity and a long term relationship, I rarely ever stray. That was then, and this is now. A bit of prior history: One day about a year ago, while at The Overlook my big dog went for a squirrel, broke my grip and took off down the street. About fifteen minutes later, the other dog and I caught sight of him with the police close by. Jimmy had seen my big dog running, drew his attention with calls and treats, luring him in so the police could get a hold and before the big dope jumped on the LIRR tracks. Gosh, Jimmy is a savior to me for this, his desire to jump into action while running a very busy dry cleaner business is something I'll never forget. Considering he was approaching a 134 pound crazed and confused extra large breed. #rhodesianridgeback I felt that I had to throw a little business his way. Yelp FAIL! I chose this cleaner over some that were in my neighborhood because it had such stellar reviews. I had some minor tailor work to be done on several pairs of dress pants (1 hem, 1 let out the waist, 1 sew a hole in a pocket) and a patch on a coat, so I figured it would be a good way to give a well reviewed business a shot. I would be disappointed. I arrived and told the man up front about my pants I need hemmed (maybe this is Sam? shaved head, his complexion is kind tanned. he might be of asian descent). He gets me on the block and starts adjusting the hem. He asks me if I wear my hem long or short. I ask him what that means (I'm no expert on pants). He says again "It means do you wear your pants long or short?" in a snippy tone. I tell him I don't know. He says that he'll just do them long and I can get them readjusted later fi I don't like it. Fine, he has a little bit of an attitude and lacks patience but I might be able to deal with that since I need these things done ASAP and SAturday is the only day I can get errands done. I tell him about some of the other work I need. This goes down similar to before, a little snarky and impatient but I'm in a rush so I tolerate it. Finally he asks "So when do you need this by" and I say monday. He says he might be able to get it done monday afternoon. It's currently Saturday morning. They just opened. I ask if he can get it done before monday, and he replies (again, impatiently) "Monday's the earliest I can do. today's a short day". By this time, some other person (maybe a customer, maybe a friend of "Sam") has entered the store and is just kind of hanging out listening to our conversation. Anytime I ask a question, he amplifies Sam's snarkiness with his own sountrack (scoffs, cynical laughs, etc). I ask what time they close monday, he says 7. I can't get there by 7 since I work in the city until 6:45. I ask if he delivers. He asks where I live. When I tell him where I life, Sam scoffs and says that's too far. I tell him it's 15 mins walking (I walked to the store) and show him where I live on my iphone he points to a little rickety metal hand cart by the door and says in his snarky way "that's my delivery vehicle. she's not going there." This gets a hearty laugh from the guy who's listening to our conversation. I tell him that I need this stuff by monday because they're my work clothes and I only have one pair of pants left to wear. Finally, I agree to Monday and pay. I figure I'll just leave work early monday to pick this stuff up. All in all, I was not satisfied with the service. Considering the rave reviews promising "smiles" and neighborhood charm, I was disappointed. All I got was sarcasm and impatience. read more

However, the business owner took a couple of pictures and suggested instead of shortening, I should think about going one size up because it was kind of tight around the shoulders. Careful attention to detail - they seemed to have done something secret and magical with one of the belt loops - and tremendous fit. I am very sensitive to most dry cleaning chemicals where whenever I get my clothes back, my eyes will start to water, I'll have a little difficulty breathing, and if I touch it without airing out... my skin will have rashes. Imagine my relief when I found an organic cleaner at a reasonable price! The owner is very friendly, and flexible with the pickup schedule. Parking can be a little tricky, but luckily I never had to go further than a block. I came with with two seasons full of items ranging from blazers, sweaters, and formal dresses... some had old stained and others were desperately in need of a deep clean. All of my clothes came back clean, crisp, and they have even taken the time to sew back a couple of my loose buttons. Most importantly, I didn't have to air out my clothes outside for a few days like I normally do, and I had no chemical sensitivity or reaction to my clothes. So I highly recommend people with chemical sensitivities to try this place. I haven't tried their tailoring service, but I'm looking to do that next (will update when I do)! read more

I get nervous about places like dry cleaners, but, I took the chance of buying a few things that needed some alterations and Joy S. has completely changed my mind on altering clothes. I had two pants and a dress hemmed, plus one of the pants taken in at the waist. The work is exquisite. My BF honestly couldn't even tell that the items had been altered at all.
