Dr. Bowes was my original provider here and he is great, but a little quick and often out delivering babies. I recently switched to Jamie, a PA at this office, and she's amazing. She provides great care, listens to all of my concerns and questions, and is open, warm, and nonjudgmental. I highly recommend Jamie and hope she sticks around at Grand Rapids Women's Health for a long time so I can continue to have her as my provider. I've never had any issues with billing, appointments, or anything else. Plus they have a parking lot that they validate, and it's close to my house. Definitely will continue to seek care here as long as I can!

I am a 100% disabled Veteran with severe combat PTSD, who is terrified of doctors and hospitals…read more After I returned from the 1st Gulf War, I was among the very first to be diagnosed with Gulf War Illness, and was ordered to go to a major hospital for a years worth of extremely invasive and painful medical experimentation. Since then, going to the doctors is the absolute hardest thing to do in my entire life. I discovered I had 2 kidney stones after an E.R. visit at Metro Hospital, one large and one small. The large one was threatening to fall into my ureter and block it off, which would have been a disaster. The VA sent me to Urological-Consultants Of Grand Rapids, where I saw Dr. Dehaan. Both he and his entire office staff were very kind to me, as I told them the above-mentioned details of my fear of doctors and hospitals. Dr. Dehaan scheduled me for the least invasive procedure possible, a Shockwave Lithotripsy, where there is no incision, which I really appreciated. When I arrived for the procedure, Dr. Dehaan had already informed everyone at the surgical center of my deep seated medical fears, and they were all so very kind, patient, accommodating and understanding, that it really touched my heart. Though it was still very difficult for me, they made it as easy as they possibly could, and I am forever grateful to each and every one of them! From the technicians, my main Nurse, Mary, all of the other Nurses, Anesthesiologist and of course my surgeon, Dr. Dehaan, they were the best medical team I have ever dealt with! Dr. Dehaan did an absolutely magnificent job shock-waving the 2 kidney stones, crushing them into tiny grain of sand sized pieces, that I promptly peed out within the first 24 hours of the procedure! It only took me 2 days to get back to full activity, including weight lifting and pull-ups, which was simply amazing to me! If I ever have to have anything Urologically related done again, I will not go to anyone other than Dr. Dehaan and his staff, and I highly recommend that anyone reading this, that requires Urological help does exactly the same thing, you will NOT regret it!

So I made an appointment and am kicking off this year with just a check in and check up so I can Yelp away. Facility is located close to the expressway M6, and has a large parking lot. When I turned in it looked like I was going back to a neighborhood but the driveway to enter into the parking lot was large and marked so it became clear where I needed to go. Came in through automatic opening and closing doors to a well run operation. The facility was clean, well lit and lots of open areas to sit if needed. You are stopped by a security officer who helps direct you. Very professional and kind. If you are coming for urgent care go straight back. They check you in there. If not there is a kiosk to log into then into the elevator or steps to the top floor. There are restrooms there if you need them. I was greeted and checked in again to verify I was in the correct place. The wait was not long for my appointment. I was taken back by a nurse into a private room. It was clean, well lit and quite. The nurse went over some basics and then the Doctor arrived. He was very proud, knowledgeable, and thorough in his questions. I was comfortable speaking with him openly and reviewing my 2025 health goals. Overall the experience was pleasant, the staff friendly and professional. I applied the promptness and follow up through their app. There was good communication the whole way though.

I explained I was in excruciating pain and they said since it's viral and they can't give antibiotics and I told them it didn't seem viral anymore. On the 19th I went back in even more pain and they said they couldn't do anything for me. They did strep and Covid test to which the others came back negative but I still had this lump on my tonsil that was larger than the right side. I told them how much it hurt and said I needed something to be done to understand what was going on and was told to just head to the ER if it's that bad. No one there seemed to know what they were doing. I ended up in the hospital 36 hours later with sepsis and now have a 10k hospital bill I have to pay which could have been avoided if I were just given antibiotics or if someone there just dug a little deeper than the surface and did their job correctly. Also overpriced copays if I may add at 85 dollars. They did not take me seriously here and are very unprofessional. Tried to see if I could get any assistance for my bills and they said no. Do not waste your time here and go see a real doctor. This place is a joke.

Poor girl had it on and off and couldn't find relief. After explaining her symptoms to Courtney Telfer and her assistant, my sister was left alone in the exam room. While they were standing just outside the door, she overheard the following conversation: Courtney Telfer: "This is all just weird and doesn't make sense." Assistant: "Yeah it is, IF she is even telling the truth." And then they both proceeded to LAUGH. Let that sink in. A patient comes in for help, explains real and ongoing pain, and is immediately dismissed and accused of possibly lying, within earshot. This is not just UNPROFESSIONAL, it is UNACCEPTABLE. No patient should ever be made to feel like they are being judged, dismissed, or accused of dishonesty when seeking medical care. Because of this, my sister will not be returning, and I fully support that decision. Dr. Curry, this is a direct reflection of your staff and your practice. Patients trust your office with their health, and conversations like this destroy that trust instantly. This needs to be addressed immediately to ensure it does not happen to someone else. No one seeking medical care should ever walk away feeling like this. I hope the two ladies listed above truly as themselves if the healthcare setting is really for them... because this entire situation makes me SICK to think this is how they are with patients.

This was my second experience with Courtney, and I am compelled to share it so that others know what to expect if they choose this practice. My appointment was meant to be a med check for a new medication. I had prepared a list of symptoms and real examples of the struggle I was experiencing. At the time, I felt she was being dismissive, but after much reflection, I think she genuinely did not know the answers to my questions. I think she expected the appointment to go one way and when I presented her with what I was experiencing, she did not know how to handle it. It felt dismissive and incredibly frustrating - she did not seem to care or believe what I was saying. When I expressed that I am experiencing debilitating symptoms and that I am not at high risk for abusing medication, she LAUGHED, and said: "Well, everyone is at risk." More importantly, she offered no medical advice or guidance. She did not ask a single follow-up question. At one point, I asked her if she just didn't believe that my diagnosis was real. She stared at me blankly. This experience left me feeling judged and frustrated, and left me with zero confidence in Courtney's clinical judgment or her ability to address my concerns appropriately. I brought my concerns to the practice manager, Clark, but was completely ignored. I documented my concerns and submitted a formal complaint to Curry Family Medicine on 5/6, then sent a follow-up message on 5/19. I never received a response. This practice prides itself on small-town vibes and providing personalized care. My experience tells a different story. Also worth noting, the previous PA, Theresa Tan, and her nurses were AMAZING. I have not met Dr. Curry, but I cannot fathom having my name on a practice and ignoring the concerns of my longtime patients. Curry Family Medicine has shown me that my medical concerns will not be taken seriously and that my concerns regarding their practitioners will be dismissed. This is not a safe space.

He gave me a brief exam and knew i needed surgery. We got it scheduled and two weeks later it was done. He did perineal plasty, scar revision, and muscle tuck. I'm only a week post op so I will edit and add with how things feel when I'm healed. I am super grateful for Dr. Dalm taking my pain seriously and offering solutions.

After a thorough assessment, she made weekly focuses on my areas of need but we worked thru each one, slowly and carefully making sure I was progressing and understanding self care. I am able to say I am walking away with a wealth of knowledge about my body and I know she gave me "toolkit" of moves to help me strengthen and recover my body from here on out. It's unfortunate new moms arent referred immediately to pelvic floor PT but I was so glad I took the steps to get to GR OBGYN. From the front desk to consistent support from Lily, the staff provides a safe, comforting and welcoming space for women. Not to mention the emotional support from Dr. Dawson, she was the person I didn't realize I needed - I'm forever grateful for our sessions. I can't say enough good things about this practice and if you are searching for some pelvic floor PT or have questions about it; this place is a gem and made a difference in my life. Perhaps it's a great fit for some, but for those who are considering care here I only thought it fair to share. Upon my first appointment I was weighed, measured, measured again, requested to fill out multiple sets of paperwork in regards to how much money I made and who primarily paid the bills in my household amongst other "health-related" questions. My first appointment left me feeling extremely bothered for the following weeks. I recently lost 10lbs, I work with a health and nutrition coach, I am actively involved in the gym 3-4 days a week with circuit training. I was told within this appointment, without request for counsel, that I need to make sure my waistline stays under 29 inches, my fat percentage at 28% was "high" and I needed to focus on lowering it. In addition, I was told that my body age was twice the amount of my true age. Understandably because of the high cost causing lower patient volume than the other larger healthcare systems, I do understand the need for a different approach in marketing. However, I noticed throughout my appointment I was pressured into believing I needed to invest in more, more, more with this establishment, because I "needed to improve". When in reality I was here for a simple preventive, annual exam. I understand some women may want this guidance, however I also believe this process can be psychologically damaging to others. Perhaps in the future True can develop a more personalized and encouraging approach in asking women what they're really looking for out of the care they receive here instead of forcing these things to become a part of their visit if they're unwarranted.

I feel 90% better than I did 4 months ago, I have no doubt that I will be 100% soon enough! You can't put a price tag on your health or a Dr that actually cares about your health, and fixes the issue vs throwing prescriptions at you! I can't say enough great things about DBC. And I will add that I LOVE that the Drs have enough commom sense to know that a mask isn't doing anything for you!

Which to me did not make sense, they just throw customers of their clinic to the curb because a doctor left? I had this happen with a medical clinic and they just assigned me to another Physician. Next, they told me I could wait a few months as they were possibly getting a new doctor. They did not care that I was in pain. I no longer recommend this place to anyone.
