Well, the guy saved my life, so I guess that says all that needs to be said. In all seriousness, I've been a patient of Dr. Rudorfer's for a year and I've never been anything short of entirely pleased. Dr. Allen and the rest of his staff are very professional and easy to work with, and I've never waited for more than a minute or two to be seen. I've never seen another cardiologist, so I don't have anyone else to use for comparison, but I would recommend Dr. Rudorfer's practice in a heartbeat (pun absolutely intended). read more

Please read and give my words careful consideration. This cardiologist put me on 480 mg a day of diltiazem (cardizem etc) for atrial fibrillation (it was a random occurrence that only ever happened once before) and then had the nerve to tell me that I could exercise while on this drug. Upon exercising I noticed I was debilitated with fatigue and a spaghetti-like weakness in my legs. This happened off and on ever since I was on the drug AND after weaning off of it. This was an ENORMOUS amount to put anyone on and I should have been on about 60 mg per day instead as I just had a random case of atrial fibrillation. Once I got home from the hospital, I called him after hours and asked how much I should take, 1 pill (240 mg per day) or 2. His answering person came back with his answer. "You need to go to the ER right away." That was his answer on the dosage. I proceeded to take the 2 per day he had prescribed and I've kicked myself every day since. He has a cold, insensitive personality and is incompetent to think anyone could function, much less exercise on 480 mg of diltiazem per day. I am now fighting to keep from wasting away as my muscles now have atrophied since February of 2014 when I began taking the drug. The drug is a great drug - if given at the right dosage. Now, I have no diagnosis on what that drug did to my system and I've gone to numerous doctors and clinics. Please, do not let this man near you. He also put me on Eliquis and he did this without discussing anything with me. This is a blood thinner that's only been out for a few years and he did not discuss anything regarding the diltiazem or Eliquis. Dr. Rudorfer is incompetent. I strongly advise everyone to avoid him. read more
