My son had to go here for a severe cut on his finger. May wife took him. This is her experience:…read more I brought my 8 year old son into the office for a bad cut on his finger last week. The dr or np (unsure of her credentials) named Monica (unsure of her last name) showed up annoyed and is firmly NOT someone who should deal in pediatrics. She chastised my bleeding son multiple times for his fear and tears (mild and understandable tears given the trauma of the moment, mind you).  She referred to his "dramatics" more than once. The dramatics in question were simple whimpers, some shivers, and mild cries of a cooperative child in excruciating pain.  I was honestly surprised with how well he handled the very scary situation. I promise, his behavior did not warrant the chastisement.  I am a mom of 14 years with an additional 20 years of childcare experience under my belt. I am perfectly aware of how difficult children can be. I also came prepared to support my son and assist the medical professionals while he went through a truly traumatic experience.  One single ounce of patience, understanding, or kindness would have gone a long way. Unfortunately Medical Professional Monica did choose that option.  The only reason this review ended up with a 2 star rating was because of the care that the nurse, Brianna, gave us. She was kind and patient and (despite the fact that she was also being treated poorly by Medical Professional Monica) still showed the most genuine care for my son. When Monica had to cut off the flap of skin left behind after his cut, Brianna gave my son a game to play to distract him. She showed empathy and kindness that went such a long way. She was a shining example of how compassionate someone in a helping profession should be! She deserves all the commendations a nurse can receive!  The rest of the staff was kind and helpful. The front desk got us back immediately and did not make us wait in the waiting room for help. We are so grateful for how they treated.  I wish that Medical Professional Monica would learn from this incident to take a breath next time she handles a pediatric patient. Patience is difficult, but not impossible.

On multiple occasions, I waited over an hour in the waiting room only to still be seen late. There were also times I waited an hour and was then told I needed to reschedule entirely -- with no meaningful explanation. Perhaps most frustrating, I showed up for appointments only to find out the doctor was not even in the office that day because he had surgery scheduled elsewhere. These are not isolated incidents; they reflect a practice that is consistently disorganized and dismissive of patients' time. More seriously, I had a cardioversion procedure performed on me without anesthesia or sedation. From what I understand, sedation is standard practice for this type of procedure. What made it worse was that the decision seemed to be driven not by my care, but by a disagreement the doctor had with other members of the medical team in that moment. He abruptly took the paddles and administered the shock without properly preparing me. It was a frightening and painful experience. Overall, I did not feel that my time, comfort, or well-being were a priority at any point. I would strongly encourage others to seek care elsewhere.

The facility is spa like and you instantly start feeling better after wrapping up in the terrycloth robe and sitting in the heated recliner in a cozy, well appointed exam room. Far from sterile in style but very clean and organized. The whole experience was well organized. We were buzzed in the door, checked in at the desk and immediately whisked away to our exam room. Upon exiting, there was another patient checking out so we waited in a posh cubby for very few minutes before we were out the door. So happy to find this hometown medical team and get out of the big medicine machine. So sick of being just a number.
