My colleague and I were in town working out of Seattle. We got a last minute check in to avoid a 5hr drive back. Being a bearded black American from Philadelphia, I prepared myself for the usual "small town" stares and rushed answered. Not all the time, but often. And let me tell you. This was a "not all the time" experience. We walked in the bright smiles, genuine eye contact and the smell or good food. I didn't catch the names but EVERYONE was helpful, kind and took the time to answer questions. A real sense of family. I see that some reviewers had bad experiences but I felt welcomed and appreciated. The rooms weren't state of the art but they were very clean, and comfortable with a fridge, microwave and plenty of hot water. Thank you again for the hospitality! The front staff was so sweet. The ladies have a very charming approach to hospitality. The inn is very well maintained and offered me an upgraded room. I got to meet the owner and his wife who stay on property. They took the time to walk me through the cool lobby with all of the fish that the family had caught over time. They were explaining that they are updating several of their rooms currently. Didn't try out the pool but was surprised to see it indoor and huge. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly and worked their tails off to keep the room very clean. A small town inn that reminds me of a how welcoming people once were. read more

Manager came at us super aggressively, calling me a liar and thief because my daughter and grandson "took too long" in the shower we paid for. Dude was super aggressive and somewhat scary. He is the manager? Wow! We have been customers for 4 mos and now we are done with this place. The front desk knows us, but I will NOT tolerate being called a liar and a thief. This is my 3rd stay & all I can is, I will sleep in my car next time. I was a late check in & was given a room #211 on the second & a half floor? The minute I opened the door it permiated of barn yard/manure smell. I had just worked four, 16 hour shifts & the weather & roads were to bad to drive home to Post Falls, Idaho. And by the time I lugged my suitcase up the stairs I was far to tired to lug it back down & argue with the gal at the front desk as she had already informed me this was the last room. The rest of the "motor inn" was closed for the winter. I went in & opened the curtains & windows & shut the heater off to cut down on the smell & watched it lightly snow outside my windows while listening to blaring music coming from the 76 station across the street. I peeled back the disgusting bed spread & laid out my travel blanket on top of the fitted sheet, hung my coat up, put on my sweat shirt, loosened my shoe laces because there was no way I was walking on that carpet without them. I laid down to considered how much partial rest I needed to get out that room as soon as I could or should I just chance it & go home anyway? Nope. I was too tired to drive. I slept off & on for about 4 hours & then left. Talk to the Owners ppl say. Why?? They already know. Save your money & car camp. read more

Nice family owned motel very well staffed with nice friendly people a nice separate lobby decorated with the trophies of hunting and fishing in North America. It is dated but we prefer that. Simple accommodations. Beats a chain motel. read more

I had a killer weekend in Colville visiting my boyfriend's family and friends. We stayed friday night with his cousin, but I had booked a room at Benny's in advance for Saturday so we checked in midday and got cleaned up for the evening. This place is huge and there's tons of parking, plus check-in was fast and friendly. Our room was super spacious and very clean. Nice, big shower and soft towels. It had a large tv screen, fridge and microwave. Most importantly, a very comfortable king bed. Bonus! Fredie and I spent plenty of time p(laying) in bed and celebrating a romantic weekend away. Everything about the place was great. The pool and hot tub were very close but packed with kids so we didn't get in; and there's also included access to a fitness center a few blocks away. We'd definitely come back and stay here again. Plus, it is really conveniently located within walking distance of the main street, and a large, beautiful park which happened to be hosting Rendezvous Days this weekend. (Only about $100/ night - excellent value!) read more

Will benefit doing some upgrades in their laminate, Vinyl inside the bathroom and the tub. It seemed dirty and gross. But it was just the looks, we went to clean it and realized it was clean, just stained, old and rundown, but not dirty. The laminate was chipped and the towels were all torn and thin of being used and old!! We asked for different ones, but those were the only ones they had, at least they smelled clean. Otherwise, it's a nice place for your money. The pool was clean and nice for the he kids. Stayed only once. read more

Positives: The people who work there were nice enough. Negatives: We were in a room near the pool. Very rundown, gouges in flooring & tub/sinks, dripping sink faucet, below average cleanliness, uncomfortable beds (sagging mattress), the coffee at the sad breakfast is worse than the coffee in the room and that's saying something. We didn't feel safe there. It was just a weird feeling, not anything that happened. Were supposed to stay 3 nights, left after 1 and ate the balance of the booking because we had to get outta there. If you have any other options, take them. Go to Chewelah 20 miles away if you need to in order to avoid this motel. read more

I've been going to this hotel for over 20 years. But ​ gotten so bad they're starting to attack the innocent ppl. For instance my special needs daughter and her special needs bf were in the hot tub innocently playing around in the hot tub. The owner (who I refer to as (​The Bich) flew in the pool room and pulled her bf to the side and gave them 1 warning for being inappropriate which they weren't. I mean come on they haven't even as much as seen each other naked. And she wants to embarrass them by accusing them of being inappropriate. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. As a matter of fact we have another hotel in Colville and they're so nice and so sweet. That's the 1 that I would recommend. I called to explain the situation to the so called owner and of course she didn't want to hear what I had to say because that would mean she was in the wrong. My recommendation would be not to go to this hotel unless you to want to be falsely accused of something you didn't do. And that's after they get your money. read more

Super friendly staff and town! Bed was updated, cozy and I slept like a baby. Our vehicle broke down, and got stuck in Colville. We couldn't have chosen a nice place to stay. Hot tub was convenient to our room and other guests were friendly, also. Will definitely stay here again when we return to pick up our truck when it's repaired! read more

I know the owner and he has lost interest in the business. The rooms have been in need of remodel for years. We stayed there a week ago in room 202 and we were told the room was a bit smaller so they took $5 off the and charged $74. The bed was hard as a rock , pillows so flat that both together didnt make one good pillow. The door had a huge gap under it and the curtains were white so daylight shined in right in my face. When i finally got ahold of Andy he denied everything and even accused us of smoking in the room so he could refuse to return any of my money we were charged. He slandered and yelled at me then threatened to charge me hundreds of dollars for smoke that was never there. read more

I lived at Benny's for a couple of weeks last year during a field project. Pros: The staff were SUPER helpful and friendly. I shipped in pallets full of equipment the day before my arrival; they kept it in a spare room for me, and helped schlep it out. Cons: Rooms are... er, I guess you get what you pay for. My colleagues and I had rooms in the cheap wing, and we were all woken up at 4 am most mornings by turkey hunters. Not loud or disrespectful turkey hunters, just normal going-down-the-stairs-with-boots-on turkey hunters. Sound really travels in that place! The rooms were clean, though clearly hadn't been updated in a while. Bed and pillows were meh. I'd stay there again, but if I really needed sleep, I'd try for a quieter room next time. Lobby decor is AWESOME - the walls are covered in taxidermied fish. read more

For the price, I expected more. The breakfast is toast and cheerios. Terrible coffee. The rooms haven't been updated in the past two decades, other than large flat screen televisions. Stayed here for a night for the Colville Country Roads Half Marathon. Pretty bread and butter and served what I needed, a room for the night. Fairly spacious room on the newer side of the facility, which was next to the pool. Overall, an older place, but things were put together in my room (though I felt like I was in a college dorm room). Breakfast from 5-10 AM, but pretty basic. If you want to use a workout facility, they offer passes to a local gym. Did what I needed it too. read more

We just spent the weekend here. Its a hotel, in a small town... nothing special. There is a 'older side' and a 'remodeled' side. I originally made a reservation for the older side since it was 20$ cheaper a night, but I was talked out of that due to a bad experience by another family member. We switched to the newer side, but our other companions stayed on the older side. We didnt see the difference. We were closer to the pool though, but our ice machine was out of ice the whole weekend. The pool was a lap pool, great for the kids, but it was hot as Hades in there if you were not swimming. We even propped a door open and sat near it so that we could breathe, but we got the no-no from the maintenance guy for that. :( They offered a breakfast in the morning, Hot coffee, tang, cider, milk, 2 kinds of cereal, 2 kinds of oatmeal, 4 kinds of bread for toasting, jelly, margarine and variety of fruit. The lobby had a ton of seating and it was nice and cozy. It was only from 5-10am.. both days we got over there at 10 and the food was still out, and they didnt really rush us to hurry. If you want a more substantial breakfast, DelSol is right next door. read more

Stayed 3 nights here in their 2 bedroom 2 bathroom room. We used the indoor pool and hot tub but the jets were broken. Breakfast in the morning consisted of coffee, juice, cereal, bagels, and fruit. Overall good experience. Room was outdated but would definitely stay here again. read more

This hotel has very honest employees. We forgot our tablet in the room and were already in Moses Lake when we got a phone call from the front desk letting us know they found it. We had family staying another day and they picked it up for us. I don't know how many other hotels would have returned it to us. The hotel is basic but clean and has everything you need. We stayed in the "deluxe" room which I think was $94/night and the room had a fridge, microwave and new flat screen TV. I think the cheaper rooms don't have those. The beds were comfortable and had nice new sheets. My only complaint was that you could hear other guests. The people above us had kids who were jumping and yelling starting at 6am. We had gotten in at 1 am so getting woken up early with our own toddler who needed more sleep wasn't great. Although that's really not the hotel's fault. I don't think we would have been woken up by other guests. Breakfast is cereal, toast, English muffins, coffee and juice. It is included in the price. We didn't have a chance to try the pool or hot tub. The staff was friendly and nice. Check in/out was fast. We stayed 2 nights for the Colville High School graduation to see a family member graduate. read more

I stayed two nights at Benny's Colville Inn. I got bitten by bed bugs, the leg on the bed was broken and the motor on the refrigerator kept humming loudly all through the night. It was the worst two night of sleep and I will never ever stay there again. It's a dump. read more

Dirty, broken down, EXPENSIVE, noisy....and the hotel staff is completely unhelpful and unfriendly. I suppose they don't see many black people in that area, so I felt like a particularly loathsome insect under a microscope. They really know how to make a person feel less than human. Nice, clean, two queen beds all the basics and quiet too. Excellent value for under 100$ per night. Friendly,Helpful staff even at 10 pm when we arrived. I only gave them two stars because they fed us. We stayed here once before in the hotel part but this time we were put in the motel part! They have a newer building with rooms "inside" that gives off a whole different impression. The carpet in our room was so dirty and was probably the reason for the odor. The bedding and bathroom were clean despite the mildew odor in the bathroom. The pillows were flat :-/ bed was ok. There was a fridge and micro which were clean but everything shows wear and smells. There were people below us smoking outside their door (with their door open) and when I told the front desk she didn't seem to care. Maybe she was a smoker too? Doesn't the smoking law apply to motels, they were non smoking rooms! The stairs and decking were very old. ...potential lawsuit! We had asked for a different room in the beginning but the front desk said a large company was in town and she had nothing else. There are only two or three tables in the breakfast lobby which people are quick to grab and then hang out there. It's not easy feeding your 2 and 3 year olds cereal at the couch! They aren't very thoughtful is what I feel. I won't be back, and to think I was thrilled with the first visit! read more

My wife and I spent two nights at Benny's (after a horrendous night at the Prospector Inn in Republic). We absolutely ADORED this motel! Great service, great staff (they gave us four extra pillows each night), a fantastic lobby with free breakfast and coffee, clean rooms, and the rates were just right for our budget.
