There are a few hiccups, though, and some of them are head-scratchin'. While every site is FHU, not everyone (us!) connect water/sewer, so proximately of the bathroom facilities is important. You have two options: an actual roadside rest area hundreds of yards away; and, the tribal market hundreds of yards away. But when the market is closed, you only have the other option after hours. Another issue is how unlevel the tarmac site pads are. We did all we could with what we had, and it wasn't enough. Not a deal breaker though. Like their sister property in Airway Heights WA (Northern Quest), there are a lot of rules and restrictions on tribal property. But again, not something that would cause us not to return. I'm no gambler, but the Wifey reported their slots were tighter than a frog's sphincter, yet she's smart enough to bail on losing after $40. It stings to know that's wasted money, but she works hard, and if she gets a little enjoyment out of that, so be it. I must mention, the entire staff of the casino, market, and RV maintenance crew were all happy and friendly, and boy that goes a long way with me...

Searched for lodging in/around Loon Lake, WA and was returned with this property. What wasn't…read moreclearly evident via their website, there are actually two separate establishments. One is the LL Motel and the other is the Wilderness Inn & RV Park. Both of these appear on just one website with the Motel showing first. As such, as one scrolls down looking at the various rooms, at first glance and you'd presume it's just one property, what appears to be a multi-story house and in front of it, a row of about 8 rooms all side-by-side each other. Not catching what the website was showing, I made a reservation at what I thought was the motel. In fact, it was the Inn although I went to the motel to check-in but this business does everything via Text msg. Meaning, there's no front desk with someone behind it when one arrives. After one's res is confirmed, you're sent info via Text where it's explained that you will receive a code that you enter into a mechanical device to retrieve your key to your room [an actual housekey] that's at the front of the property. The problem with this though, I received back-to-back Txt msgs and the 2nd one was rather lengthy, hence, I missed a picture of the actual property I had a res for, the Inn. Had to place a call when the code I was entering wouldn't work so I couldn't collect the key. At this point and I'm told I have a room not at the motel but at the Inn and I'm given directions on where it's located. Not mentioned on the website, the Inn, it faces the traffic circle [within spitting distance] that intersects US Hwy 395 and WA Hwy 292 which means you'll hear truckers gearing down to go through the circle until 10 or 11 pm. Terrific. It appeared as if this Inn is undergoing refurbishment so not all rooms were ready to be used. I grab my bag and hit the stairs. The risers on a few steps, they're not all the same length. No big deal... but if one uses a cane. Upon entering the room and it's noticeable, there's space so 2 people aren't going to be bumping into each other and the door doesn't hit the bed. There's a fake fireplace opposite the bed with a lounge chair and ottoman in front of it. It sits low to the floor so if you're over 6' in height, it can be a challenge to get out of as this chair has no arms. The room was sufficiently appointed but it didn't take this traveler long to figure out, the room had been sitting vacant for some time. The tell-tale signs: a good amount of dust on various horizontal surfaces was present and all the lights in the room, their shades had cobwebs. While the AC/Heater does have a filter, it had not been cleaned in quite sometime. Soaps & shampoos in small bottles sat atop the sink and a rack on the opposite wall had plenty of towels. What would have been nice, some sink counterspace to set down one's shaving kit. There isn't any so it's either the top of the toilet, above the refrigerator, or if you're so inclined, the floor. As I called it a night, after I turn off the lights, the room is still lit up in the bathroom [it's open to the room, there's no door]. Turns out, the hair dryer has a built-in light and it's plugged in. Outta bed to unplug the device and that does the trick. Or so I thought. But lying in bed and now I've got a brand new light source, and one I can't UNPLUG. Once the sun sets, outside lights turn on. But this is now the reason why I've got half my room lit up with a nice beam of light! And this beam, it's coming from the doorjamb from top to bottom, meaning the length of the door. So what's causing all this light to enter the room? Welp, in this case, between the side of the door and the jamb, there's a 3/8th's inch GAP. Exactly, large enough to let the outside lights shine nice and brightly into the room. To resolve this situation, I scrounged up items within the room to place between the door and the jamb so I could eventually fall asleep. There was just one more thing I took issue with, which I came upon on my last night's stay. While reading a map, I looked up at the ceiling. I notice the smoke detector but after staring at it, I realize, something's missing. There's no LED that should blink every couple of seconds. No LED means no power or dead battery. So I remove the detector. It's hardwired and unplugged. I plug it in and it starts to beep. It doesn't stop. This is why it's disconnected. I leave notice to the owner via a short note about what you've read here and what does she do? In a nutshell, she goes off the rails and comes unglued and complains to this CUSTOMER about what I came across. I text back: "hey cupcake, you're in the hospitality industry and don't like constructive FEEDBACK, especially when a nonfunctioning safety device IS NOT WORKING, thereby jeopardizing MY LIFE, really???? Glad there was no fire during my stay. To the Stevens County of Washington state Building Dept: get someone out to this business BEFORE THERE IS A FIRE!

The cabins are just wonderful, big enough to have your own rooms and space, small enough to be cozy and comforting. With this view, and this beautiful lake, it's quite the getaway we needed. Interesting lake as much of the north side road is actually on the water. The park has play ground equipment which is great for kids under 10 or so. Jamie and Dave are gracious hosts, help you park rig, run store with great ice cream and always ready to help out with any needs. Virtually no road noise and zero highway as it's miles away made for nice quiet outdoor activities. I spent many days mountain biking on logging roads and quad paths. Not much single track but tremendous views from north and south mountains. We spent 35 days and plan on the same next summer. Many of the spots are seasonal folks with families. Sometimes pressed quiet hours to 11pm but quiet music, talking and laughter is kinda the thing on weekends. Silent weekdays. ​One of our favorites for down to earth folks and activities.

Overwhelming dog urine smell and no help from staff We…read morestayed in one of the "condos" (bottom floor rose bud)and the experience was disappointing from the start. The place reeked of dog urine the entire time. There was no air conditioning and no screen door, so we couldn't even open the door to get some fresh air without letting bugs in. A week before our arrival I specifically called to confirm this was not a dog-friendly property and was told there were absolutely no dogs allowed in the condos. That clearly wasn't the case. We reported the smell to staff. They admitted they already knew about it and said they would call us with a solution. No one ever called. We ended up going to the store ourselves for carpet freshener and a kids-and-pets odor eliminator, then had to ask for a vacuum (which they did provide). None of it made a meaningful difference. The second bed was in the living room right in the middle of the urine smell, so the other couple we were sharing the condo with slept in their car both nights. Would not recommend. The property needs to address the odor issues properly and communicate honestly about the condition of the unit.

I would HIGHLY recommend appointing someone as the contact person that is not also responsible for food, etc. -We were quoted one price for food, but that was raised just 3 weeks before the wedding which made it too late to try to book something different. This was after our food and venue balance had already been paid, so we had to send additional money. -Food was nearly 45 minutes late with no updates from staff unless the DJ or someone from my wedding party asked for an update. Because the food was so late, some guests left. We also missed opportunities for certain pictures because everything was so rushed after that. -The fruit-infused water that was offered was not even out and ready until the food was placed out. -There is no one acting as a contact person onsite on the day of the wedding and the catering is done in the owners private residence, so questions/concerns cannot be easily addressed. It would have been nice to have someone checking in to make sure that thing were going okay. -We were told that we would have use of the Groom's cabin for the day of the wedding. Someone actually lives there so it was almost 11am before the resident left the property. Because someone lives there, it was not as clean and tidy as it should have been. My Groom and groomsmen had to hang out outside waiting for the cabin before they could get ready and eat their lunch. -And yet another communication glitch, we were told that we would have the venue Friday for decorating, Saturday for the event, and then Sunday for clean up. Two days before the wedding we were told we would have to be cleaned up by 11am on Sunday as there was now another wedding for a "friend". When we arrived to get our things at 10am, all of the items from the bridal suite was put into diaper boxes and set inside the door. Things were placed nicely, but we should have been able to sort and grab our own things beings we still had an hour from the time we were told. Can I recommend the venue? I guess I would give a cautious yes. It sounds like the owners are wanting to learn from this experience and I hope that is the case because it is a beautiful place. The lack of communication and the changes without advance notice added so much stress to my planning and my special day. There were moments I felt deprived of that I cannot get back, so I truly hope this doesn't happen to another bride.

Been to Trinity at Willow bay a couple times now this summer and I have always been satisfied…read more Plenty of seating on big decks, with shade or sun, and great service. You can easily pull the boat up hop out sit down and have a quick or slow meal, they let you take it at your pace here. They have a full bar and the bartender puts out a good pour. Down side on the drinks is that prices are a little high for the area, but with the view who can complain. I have had the calamari and buffalo shrimp appetizers and they were very well prepared. They have several choices of fries and I would recommend them all, especially the sweet potato fries. I have had the black and tan fish and chips and it rocks. The batter is a welcome change from the usual. I have also tried their grilled Cesar salad and it is unique and quite tasty. Do yourself a favor, get on a boat and take a slow cruise down the Pend O'reille river and stop at Trinity at Willow bay. Sit back have a cocktail, listen to some music and let the day slip away.
