Employees are nice and have a huge selection of games, I've never really bought a game from them so I'm not sure if they have a higher price or not, but I came in to trade in 3 games, Cyberpunk 2077, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and Evolve, they said they couldn't take any of them due to marks. Went to GameStop and they took cyberpunk and killzone but not evolve. Even looked at the discs myself and there were no scratches or anything, just dust from not being used. read more

I can honestly say I've never been to too many game stores, so it's hard for me to compare to others. We were referred here by Game Stop. This location had a lot of games for the different gaming systems. We came looking for a Wii games...more specifically rock band, but we were not in luck. One of the employees said that they were wiped out with guitar hero guitars and rock band guitars due to Christmas. I felt like it was kind of disorganized, due to lack of labeling of the isles, and the counter was a nightmare trying to check out of. Lots of games, DVDs, CDs, and other random games relevant stuff to choose from. We went looking for Wii games and found a few we were looking for with a nice price compared to buying new. The space isn't too spacious with the layout so trying to check our was tricky with people standing around the counter talking with employees. This place is perfect! It has everything you want to games, movies, and collectibles like Funko pops and cool accessories from game consoles from Atari 2600 all the way up to today! And if you want a movie on DVD, Blu Ray, or 4K they have a barrage of all of that and the video games, OMG there is so much video games to choose from and it has everything you would ever want to find! The prices are about the same if you looked on eBay or possibly somewhere else, but it doesn't matter because I much would rather be in here and look around than be on eBay. Also they have loads of consoles that you can buy and there prices for consoles are honestly way better than anything else. The staff is decent they're not the best in my opinion but there just doing their job so I digress. Overall definitely come here if you can! read more

First stopped in when looking for a hard to find cord to connect my bass guitar to the PS4 to play Rocksmith. Have stopped in since from time to time because of their amazing selection of games and movies. Great organization of VHS, DVD, BLURAY and games from all the systems. I found a hard to find Blues Brothers Concert VHS, and now that my PS2 is reconnected, I am going to be shopping for that too. Also, if you are a Pro Wrestling fan like me, they also have Wrestling DVDs. Be sure to check behind the counter if you are a collector. They have special collector edition cases of movies or series which look amazing. read more

Great local shop for old and newer used video games, DVDs and toys. Staff are super friendly and will work on you with prices, at least if you're into haggling like my gamer buddy. I'm not into haggling and would probably just pay full price and that's fine because the prices are generally a tad cheaper than other local stores. There's another local game shop that has been around for years where it's hard to find SNES, Genesis, N64, etc. games that are worth a dang. Not the case here. So check out Ben's if you want to find those gems from your youth, plus pick up a few games you've never played on the cheap and just for kicks. read more

The staff here really shine out as the top highlight. The owner Ben is usually found working behind the counter and is always ready to help you in any way he can. Ben is joined by a small staff of a couple of others I think one might be his wife. I love the mom and pop feel inside this store. The second standout highlight for me would have to be the variety of products sold here. The main focus would have to be video games, every kind from vintage to modern. Ben's game zone has a lot of action figures and toys as well. In the back room of the shop is a nice little arcade filled with five or six vintage machines all in nice working order. There is also a large DVD, Blu-ray, and VHS collection to look into. The shop is also filled with an excellent selection of vintage to modern consoles from original Nintendo to ps4s. read more

I have been here on a couple occasions, once to browse and the other for a purpose. They have a great selection of titles for older systems (ex. NES, SNES, Genesis, Gameboy's) along with more recent systems (ex. XBOX's, PS-etc.). Prices are fine and competitive with what you pay on eBay or other video games stores. They do have some rare titles for the older systems which is pretty cool too. I had a very good experience when I came for a specific purpose. I have a SNES that was not turning on and I suspected that the AC cable was shot. I called to see if they sold the AC cable separately, and they said they did. They also said I could bring the system to test it with their AC cables to make sure that was the problem. I go over, we test it, it works with their cable, I purchase the cable, and I am out the door. I believe it was the owner's wife upfront who answered my call and patiently helped me test my system. I was looking forward to this store when I saw it online. People said it had great prices and a lot of stuff. Overall, I thought it was a nice store but not perfect. Personally, I like being able to browse my games on a shelf, not behind a counter and not behind a glass case. The only stuff they had on shelves were PS1-4, Xbox OG-One, Wii/U, and maybe some other newer, disc-based stuff. Everything else was behind a counter or in a glass case. The stuff in the glass case was almost always clearly priced(fairly, prices weren't fantastic), but the stuff behind the counter wasn't usually priced and there being a lot of stuff behind the counter, you'd have to ask again and again if you wanted to know one price. Customer service was fine. The lady was nice to me and the others that were at the store but nothing outside the norm. Overall, this store isn't for me. If you don't mind asking for prices a lot and meh prices then maybe you won't mind this store. They do have a lot of DVDs, VHS, and other older toys that people may be interested in to(albeit they were disorganized.) I'd recommend giving this place a look-over, but I was not very enthused. read more

I'm a truck driver. I go into Ben's for the used DVDs 1-2 times a month and stock up so I've got movies in my truck to watch. Used DVDs are $2 each. I'm a truck driver and these DVDs being proceed like this give me hours of not being bored in my truck. I'm going to be bummed out when I move back to NM and can't go in here anymore for movies. They also have a good selection of older games, game systems, few toys. Great store. Good people. read more

I'm a long time customer of Ben's. Been shopping with them since they had the old thrift store off of 42nd and L street. Huge used dvd selection with most titles costing only $2.00. Best place in town for retro video games. Their trade in offers are the best in town. If I'm looking for something in particular they will let me know if it comes in. Everone here is very friendly. I think that is one of the main reasons I like coming here. Ben treats everyone like family. They even have a small arcade here. If you can beat any of the high scores you win a $10.00 gift card. Great place to go to if you enjoy vintage physical media whether it's for movies, TV series, games, etc... Things here are reasonably priced upon how rare they are. DVDs here are $2 each and VHS tapes are $1 each. Game consoles range from PlayStation consoles including the original, Xbox consoles, Nintendo consoles including the original NES and the Super NES - and also handheld gaming consoles like Game Boys, variations of Nintendo DS, and more. There's also old rare gaming accessories for some of these consoles. There is also an arcade section in the back of the store near the Blu-Ray discs that you can ask the owner or one of the employees to play on. Back there they also sell other elements of pop culture like toys, books, etc... Pretty fun place to go to, and Ben is a pretty nice guy; fun person to have a conversation with whether it's about movies or games or anything else. This place is highly recommended for all of those nostalgic gamers out there. read more

I've gone here ever since I was brought in a tear ago by one of my friends. The staff are amazing and helpful in every way. It's run by family and friends and all of them make you feel like you're included in that. Ben himself is an absolutely amazing human being. He takes time to go over and greet everyone and make sure they're being helped and taken care of. A very nice mom-and-pop style retro game shop, I really enjoyed my visit. They had a very good selection of classic games across just about every console, to include a decent Sega CD, Sega Saturn, and Dreamcast selection at the time of my visit. Prices were largely reasonable, and on the whole slightly below standard eBay pricing, with some games above, and more than a few exceptions that were well below standard market value. If you know your game values well, you'll likely find several good deals here. In talking with Ben, the owner, he had said that he had had some exceptionally rare stock (which had sold long before I was able to visit), and that he does get a good amount of the harder-to-find stuff on a fairly regular basis. I didn't see anything mind-blowingly rare while I was there, but if I lived in the area, I would certainly be swinging through on a weekly basis to see what kinds of new goodies were available. This is a must-visit if you're a retro gamer traveling through the Omaha area. I'll be sure to return next time I'm in town. read more

A review from one of my 8th grade students... Ben's Game Zone is going to be a small mayor childhood memory. There are many Pros for the shop, but mainly it's the helping hand at the counter, and the wide selection of video games (for different video game consoles), movies, and action figure and collectible. Also you can rent games and you can buy and sell used games and consoles. The only Con for Ben is that sometimes for little things (like a control for the PS3) can be a like pricely. It was a Friday after school when I first went to Ben's Game Zone with my dad. When I walked in, I was 3 line selves with every new game in them, on the whole wall on the left where many movies, the old games where at the front desk and in a small area in the back was like a little arcade. My dad was familiar with the Zone and the man who runs it many times, because this this is where he goes all of the time to going games for his Nintendo. I looked around the place to see so many types of games, He had the new, the old, for every game consoles. I heard my dad talking to the man at the counter like he would do to a good friend. I went back many times, with a better story. The second time I went, I was with dad again. I was bored and kept on walking around until I can to a back area with many action figures, books, and many other things to do with amine. There were also two arcade games, one was a card game where you have to save a woman while fighting ninjas and dragons. The second one had a lot of different games including Pac-Man, Centipede, and more. Dad saw this and got me quarters to play. I played the arcade a lot but my favorite is the game with the spaceship having to shoot the aliens. It was a lot of fun and I used all of the coins before I left. My experience was positive for the fun and selection of what Ben's Game Zone has. I would recommend this to people who want something from the past, and for who are looking for different types of games, old and new. It can be very rewarding for good children or a good hang out. I would go back anyday for a new game. read more
