I found a couple new-to-me, limited release games for my older console. They've also got bunches still in storage, so if you're looking for something specific, just ask! The owners are currently remodeling and expanding into the space next door, with plans to expand their in-store gaming space. It's going to be amazing! There are bunches of other gaming products and accessories to complement both gaming (like controllers, guitars, mics, etc.) and the gaming lifestyle (like mugs, pins, graphic novels, etc.). I'll be back to look for gifts for my gaming family. My eldest bonus boy was excited to see how good a deal was at the Pokémon Trading Card Post. All of the kids found something to call their own. ^_^b Oh, and it isn't for sale, but the collection of Poké Balls from the 1999 Burger King kids' meals at the front desk is so cool!! They are a treasure to speak with, and so knowledgeable about the gamers' universe. My kids were delighted to find ready conversation with them about a bunch of gaming things I didn't fully grok. And I found their expertise deeply fascinating and engaging, as well. All in all, this place is true to its name--The Gamers Oasis. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with N64 games and racks of PS2, PS3, Wii, and Switch games. They had games for all of the consoles dating back to the NES. My main goal was to see if he had an N64 console, but sadly he didn't. He did have a few OEM N64 controllers for $20 a piece though, which is the going rate. Besides the amazing selection, the prices on the video games were pretty good too. I got a few PS3 games for $5 a piece and the discs were in new condition. No matter how you slice it, that is a great price, even for games that aren't really 'worth' anything. It's a small place but don't let that fool you; this place has a ton of stuff. I can't wait to go back after the inventory has turned a bit, to see what other gems I can find.

This is a bit more for the tabletop gamer, as that's a lot of what they have now, but they did have a good selection of comics, just put away more than the games that take a lot of the display area. The comics were there but were more in drawers, and they had cute comic characters of each alphabetical letter drawer (like Wolverine on the W drawer). Very clever idea! Another cool thing is that a lot of the decor they have around the store is dragon-themed, sticking with their name of the Dragon's Lair. They also didn't have as many figurines and pops as a few other comic shops we've been to (though they do have a handful). They more have the gaming dice, Warhammer figurines, and games like Settler's of Catan etc. The staff was more helpful at this location vs. the one out on 144th and Center, where they kind of act annoyed when you want to actually buy something and they have to ring you up LOL So If you're looking for a new game or interested in collecting Warhammer figurines, this would be great for you. If you're on the hunt for a certain comic book, they may have that too, but it's not the main focus anymore like I remember it being when I was a kid.
