They advertise they're have service until 9p.m. on Saturday. I called at 5:40p.m. and was told I'd get a call back Saturday. It's Monday and still no call back. The person that answered the phone texted with me, so it's Monday and I texted her 48 hrs. Later to inquire about my call back. No reply. What an iligitmate company. I hope no one ever finds themselves stranded, needing a locksmith, and calls these clowns. They respond to AAA because they will dump them if they mess with their customers. I called this company to help my sister who happened to be locked out of apt. Yariv was very helpful, and professional. He arrived before I did, and helped Sis until I arrived. Service was prompt, and no delay for his arrival. I didn't know what to expect in terms of price for using a locksmith, but seemed reasonable for the service provided. Was slightly less than the estimated price quoted over phone when I asked how much. Price was more in middle of range. Tomorrow is a holiday and it was late afternoon, thought for sure it would be sky high fees or an added emergency fee. I highly recommend this company if you ever need a locksmith. I don't like to use companies without a referral but had no choice. I looked on yelp and this company had a decent amount of great reviews compared to other locksmiths so I'm happy I chose them. I had an issue with my front door lock, broke the night before. Picked up a new one in the AM and I just couldn't get it to work. I called 2 or 3 places, this place was the last but he answered and said he could be over in 15 minutes. This by the way was around 2pm on a Sunday. Wasn't cheap, but he came, he fixed, he also adjusted the door frame lock and bam, perfectly fixed. He showed me what I was doing wrong but glad I'll know for future issues. read more

We were so pleased with Ben's Lock and Key !!! We needed a dead bolt and front door lock replaced as well as side door and garage to house door locks rekeyed. We called Ben's Lock and Key at 3pm and by 3:30 pm (the SAME DAY!), they had sent an excellent locksmith by the name of David to our home. He was polite, professional, helpful and showed us where one of the locks was broken. He replaced the locks and completed the work in a most efficient manner and cleaned up everything. I rarely write negative reviews, but my recent experience with Ben's unfortunately warrants one. My wife and I were out of town this past weekend and our pet sitter accidentally locked themselves out of our home on Saturday at around 5pm. We called around for locksmiths and were very relieved when we spoke to a receptionist at Ben's Lock and Key. We explained the situation and were told in no uncertain terms that someone would be able to come to our house at 6:30pm that day, no problem. I even called again at 5:30 to confirm and to request that they call my cell when they were on the way, and I was again reassured that this would be no problem. Cut to 6:30 and not only had nobody called my cell, but they completely ghosted me. Nobody picked up their office phone when I called several times after that. I still haven't gotten a call-back or received any explanation of what went wrong, let alone an apology. Needless to say, this was very unprofessional and almost resulted in disaster for our poor pets (but a HUGE shout out to Jim Abbot at JC Magee who drove up from Pitman to save the day!) read more

Had a need to call Bens Lock and Key this Sunday am (got their business going on line requesting locksmiths in my area). I needed to repair a broken lock from my garage to the inside of my house. Using this company was definitely an experience. My car key broke apart on me and I needed a locksmith to replace it. After setting up my initial appointment, I was confident things would work out. The next morning, I ran into an issue with the technician before he arrived. I was very disappointed. Once the owner heard my issue, he immediately rushed in and fixed the problem IMMEDIATELY and most importantly, he apologized about the inconvenience. He sent over another technician named Al that was absolutely AMAZING! I called needing one things and found out I needed an entire new key and chip. Al had everything needed for my new issue to repair it and he was done in under 15 minutes! Extremely friendly and helpful. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you guys for assisting me. I lost my keys last week and I called "24/7 locksmith cherry hill" the girl on the phone said it would take twenty minutes to come, and the key starts at $80. I've been waiting for two hours for the tech to show up and after all that waiting he asked me for 295$ which I think is outrageous. I have to give credit for working hard to satisfy his customers. It took some time but he found the perfect solution to my mom's screen door lock problem. I learned his delayed was unavoidable and as soon as he was able he reengaged with me on our unfinished business and for that I am very appreciative. Worst and most frustrating experience of all time!... Not only did we get quoted an ridiculous exorbitant price of $225!!(we did a check all around other different actual professional locksmith and it's all between the range of $100 - 120), the most antagonizing part was the person who came(name is Joe) has TOTALLY ZERO professional technical knowledge AT ALL!!!~ his first idea of opening a lock was actually to spray WD40 into the lock, which he then went into the worst and most unbelievable last resort of any real professional locksmith - Drilling through the lock!?!!!???... We were all totally dumbfounded when we saw that...and even when he drilled through the lock, he still failed to get it opened...then he try all sorts of at least 4 different really amateur ways to no avail...and I'm talking about prying the door with screwdriver and such... all in all, we were basically conned by this person and mainly because it was a Sunday, there wasn't any other locksmiths open then...Be Forewarned!!! read more

They tired to charge me $150.00 initally and I said no way and paid $70.00 and when I told office they need to have someone come out and fix it they said I would have to wait until tomorrow when someone is in my area and if I didn;t agree to this that they would charge me $75.00! Ben ordered for me an after market key to save money. I ended up having two service calls. He only charged me for the second call after he programmed the new key. These guys really do a good job. I was working security at an elementary school in camden on a Friday night I got locked out the school and my keys were inside. I called pennsauken locksmith and they refused to send someone to me because it was dark and I was in camden, but bens did not hesitate. I showed them my identification and my id for the school as soon as the man arrived which only took about 20 minutes and he took a look at the lock. Before starting I was happy he told me how much it would cost and since the lock was a commercial lock it would be more but still the price was great. I needed a lock to be rekeyed on an inside office door so that it matched my outside office door because I didn't want to carry two separate keys. I called Ben's Lock and Key based on a google search. Long story short, it cost me $175. I was told the knobset needed to be replaced ($65), the cylinder arm needed to be replaced ($15), the cylinder combination needed to be changed ($15 - probably the only real service I needed), and the service call was $75. Of course, I was told ALL of this after the fact. I wasn't offered the opportunity to purchase a knob set myself for half the price (complete with cylinder arm). Very unhappy with the price and lack of disclosure. Also, the invoice was from Quick Key, LLC located on Vine Street in Philadelphia. I looked up the address and there are six other locksmith companies with the same address. Live and learn. I recommend getting the cost estimate upfront before asking them to come out. Or better yet, find another expert that is more reputable. Fool me once, shame on you. Not again. read more
