I called him Tuesday to see if he could help us move some heavy furniture moved around to make our workspace more accommodating and transport some benches to a nearby gallery. I contracted with Benson to move me from Uptown to Bayou St John. We used them over 2 days, loading one day and unloading the next day. Before the move, I asked if they would wrap my furniture and was told "yes" they would. I also stressed that my couch was very heavy and was very expensive. Upon loading day, the couch and the bed frame would not fit in the truck so we arranged with Benson to unload then run back to my place in Uptown to pick up the couch and bed. No problem and they were happy to do this. The wrapping of the couch was very minimal, but since they had done a good job with the rest of the pieces (heavy large furniture they moved fairly easily), I did not worry. When they brought the couch into my new home, it was snagged on the front. I pointed this out the movers, owner was not present, and they of course had no idea how this happened. I assured them this was not present before they loaded the truck. I was contacted by the owner an hour or so later for payment, and I paid them in good faith, as they did move me and I am not a difficult person to work with. I told the owner that they had snagged my couch and he asked me to text him photos and promised to call me back when he got back to the office. This was on Thursday, 5/31/18. I did as requested. I did not hear back from him so on Monday night, 6/4/18, I texted him and asked why he had not called me. He immediately texted back indicating he would call back the next day. He called back Tuesday afternoon, 6/5/18. He indicated that he needed to come look at the couch. I informed him that after several hours of work, I was able to repair most of it by pushing the snag back into the couch, but it was still not "fixed" like new and if he wanted to come look at it that was fine with me. I told him how I fixed it and then he proceeded to tell me that that's how he would fix it. Then he asked if he could call me back. That was Tuesday, 6/5/18, and here it is Saturday 6/9/18 and I have not heard a thing from these people. It would be nice to be refunded for my time and effort in fixing this couch, as I paid him for time and effort moving me. If you chose this company, please ensure you do not pay them until you have inspected and come to agreement on whatever damages they may have caused you. I paid in good faith and did not receive the same in return. Happy Moving! read more

I honestly couldn't believe how hard working these guys were. Just to put this into perspective I was able to go to bed in my new home on the same day I closed. These guys didn't even stop to take lunch. They were able to accomplish in 8 hours what would have taken me days. They were great all around. Super friendly and easy to work with. No damage to any of my belongings, which was a miracle in itself because I moved from a 3 story condo to a house 30 minutes away. Best movers you will find! I have moved a lot, and DUPRE is the most professional, efficient and courteous service I have ever seen. They took extra care not to damage my walls and wood floors. Yall,these people are legit! They were recommended to us by our landlord and quoted us a price far lower than all of the other moving services. Because I know everyone pores over reviews for prices--we paid $105/hour for a total of 3 hours with 3 guys (Benson himself supervises but also helps his team move some items too, so really it's 4 guys) to move from our second floor unit to another second floor unit + the price of a large Penske truck rental; not sure if this is their standard fee or if it depends on locale so check with them. These guys are efficient and great to work with. Highly highly recommend--you won't be disappointed! read more

Benson and his staff moved our entire 2200 square foot household from New Orleans to Michigan with 5 star service and follow-through. His company was recommended to me by my favorite antique consignment shop; they told me he was very organized, punctual, like the former Marine that he is. Price was very reasobale for a dedicated crew (in contrast, big moving van companies throw your stuff in with other peoples' belongings, take weeks to get there, mix things up, inevitably losing and breaking a few things. None of that with Benson. I threw in a few hundred extra in tips for his staff. read more
