Thanks to mike and bo for coming out to repair my fence. Someone took part of my V track and I could not lock my gate. Ryon came out to access my fence for repair. Poor customer service & Unprofessional. I placed an order over the phone with Penny and was told they would email a receipt. Called and asked for a receipt, "Penny" indicated your guy should have picked it up. explained to her it was a packaging slip. She placed me on "hold" for 7 plus minutes, The whole time, I heard her arguing with a male employee whose check was short on his hours, She said there are times you clock out early and were paid correctly. The three stars or for The maker of my gate and the installers of my fence and gate. I ordered a rod iron gate and Fence early September from Estimator Arnold. The price was fair. The gate was installed nearly 10 weeks later.one problem is Arnold did not have the pickets premade to fit correctly. Phil and his partner who installed this gate on site had to use extra from other parts to cut and weld to extend pickets in order for it to fit correctly. Welder Phil also did some other adjustments to the lockbox area. The material that arrived was scratched up and the upper crossbar had a dent in it. Phil's partner cleaned everything up and spray painted over powder coat to cover scratches. Dealing with office staff was very difficult when I was trying to get a install date. Overall I'm happy with the look of the fence and gate. read more

I recently replaced the chain link fences in my house with nicer iron ones and used Benson Fence Co. I got quotes from several places and they had the best deals, in fact it genuinely felt like they were looking for ways to save me money. They sent two employees to do the installation, they were both very quick, courteous, and professional and the fence and gate they installed looks great! My only reservation is that it felt like I had to do all the follow up with them about getting quotes and scheduling visits. But when I would contact them they were really responsive. They will tell you what they think you want hear, but they don't tell you the truth they constantly keep stretching out the equipment finish date blame it on powder coating . try to change the dates when you have dates written down when you talk to them. they will not do the job on a completion date like they say they do so deal with them at your own risk that's all I can say better luck than what I had with them hopefully gave them one star only because you can't give them zero and post this no one is truthful at that place at all all they needed to say was we haven't finish the gate not to keep saying though we gave you a different time and what you were saying when you have it written down like I said before nothing but lies if I had the time to get the gate made someplace else I would have read more

We drove all the way over to this facility, because the lady on the phone seemed to not be able to help us. Once we arrived, she was worse in person. Approaches us in a very rude demeanor, hand on hip, eye rolling. We still tried to get past it. We asked if they carried a certain type of fencing and if we could see a catalog or get any type of assistance that she could provide. She says did you look outside? She sounded like a grumpy grandmother who's favourite TV show was interrupted by a relative that only calls when he needs extra cash for something ridiculous. I chose Benson Fence for my double gates leading from my backyard pool area to the street. I wanted the double gates to have both privacy and security and the guys from Benson did an incredible job. The installers, Mike and Nick were awesome and really took the time to make sure the job was right. The gates are exactly what we wanted with the ability to exit to the street side through one gate and have my pool guys and gardener enter from the other. I wanted the quality that would last for years and never have to have my worry about replacing again in my lifetime. In the summer months it can take a little time to install (it took them 3 weeks from the time we placed the order) because they become very busy but when it was all said-and-done it was worth the short wait. My Mother was 88 years old at the time that she called Benson fences to come out. She wanted a cement edge and a fence and gate for one side of her back yard. I was with her when they came out to talk to her, take the measurements and wrote out the contract. She told them exactly what she wanted. A chain link fence with privacy slats.Everything good so far. The day they came out to do the work things were going okay until I noticed that the guy doing the fence was going to leave two large gaps. One between the house and the metal fence post and one between the same post and the fence. He was going to use parts that were longer than normal in order to make the fence and the post reach. As he was starting to set the post in the cement I asked him to wait while I made a phone call. When I called the owner to tell him that I didn't want any gaps between the house and the fence post or anywhere else, and to put the metal post where the old wooden post was, up against the house he said that he would have to charge my mother more to do that because he had planned on using a fence that he had already built. I said I didn't care because I wanted it dine right. I forgot that in the contract he had the right measurements so he shouldn't charge more for taking pride in doing the job right. Anyway, everything seemed in order and I had to leave to go to work. I came home that night and in the am went over to my mom's house and they put the posts in where they originally planned so now she has 4 inch gaps on both sides of the post set in cement. And they used this huge handle that they welded on that sticks out from the fence 12 inches as a gate handle and lock catch. When they were dine my mom asked if they had corrected the fence so that there were no gaps and the owner lied and said yes, Everything was how your daughter ask us. She handed them the check and said thank you. She couldn't get out on the side of the house with grass so she trusted them. DONT TRUST THEM! Don't use them. But if you choose to use them stay with them every minute! Eek! Methinks not for sure! read more

I really dislike having to overspend like most of us. This was not the case. The estimate was more than fair and reasonable. Work was excellent. Workmen were fine and well informed, but after work was completed, little adjustments had to be made. The first 2 times, everything went fine, but on the third attempt to have workmen come out, the office staff/owner was something less than helpful, saying our warranty was almost up when in fact we have 6 months left. I have heard from other people that have dealt with Benson Fence and have had bad experiences with her. The office manager has very bad customer service skills. She needs to have someone to show her how to communicate with others or get another job. I recommend another job. read more

I ordered a sliding gate. The craftsmanship was good. However the customer service was poor. I didn't experience a helpful staff. It took 2 trips to order what I wanted and 2 trips to pick up. The first trip I was told that I couldn't order without people In the yard. The second trip I was able to order. The third trip my wife picked up most of the parts but they missed some. The 4rth trip I got the rest of the parts. There was no offer to help us out or recognize that this was their mistake. The sliding door has a standard door knob case. A standard door knob doesn't exist to latch it closed. I don't know why a company that has been in business for this long would allow a 1 time user to go with this design that wouldn't work. Shame on me for proceeding with them after my first experience. When I called up to discuss the issue. I was told it was my fault. Good luck all. read more

I received quotes from 3 different fence companies and I felt the most comfortable with Benson Fence and not only that, the price was the most competitive.I also liked that it was a family owned company. Their wrought iron fencing solution for our backyard was a lot less complicated than the other quotes we received and they were able to give us the scroll detail we wanted, where as the other companies said it would be a more "custom" job and the price went up significantly. The installation was a breeze and we have had the fence now for two years and we could not be happier with the look of it. Arnold was truly an expert who had been doing this kind of work for a long time. He was very helpful when it came helping us decide what kind of design would meet our needs. He designed a custom fence and gates with powder coating to match the trim on our house. The fence was completed on schedule. The installation went very smoothly.
