Although my past experiences with this establishment have been positive, today's experience resulted in me being barred questioning my bill.
The bar has a casual hideaway feel that I enjoyed in the past. In general I luked this place, but today's experience can't be changed.
When I asked to pay my bill, 3 was given 3 different totals, each one increasing in total, until I was told my bill was 54.80
Lets do simple math
1 patty melt w/ ff =$11.50
1 c/b w/ chips = $7.00
1 deep fried jalapeño poppers, 6.00
Food total =$24.50
Drinks:
3 Coors Banquet beers @$3.00
1 BUDLIGHT @ $3.OO
2 BUTTERSCOTCH SHOTS @ $3.00
Alcohol total=$18 00
Simple math , total =42.50
I asked the difference between cash and card(debit, not credit, suddenly it was "Oh ,my mistake its really 54., when I asked REPEATEDLY to speak to ownership, the CLEARLY intoxicated bartender proceeded to speak loudly over the owner who I had asked to see, because I really expected sanity and reason, o ly to listen to the ownership try to justify the obvious attempt at overbilling me. Did I yell?F-i ng right I did, was I yelled at AND was told I was barred a d the police were on the way, all for having the audacity to ask a clearly inebriated service provider why my total was $10.00 more than the rules of 3rd grade math teach us.
Thw food is good, the beer is cold, but half the ownership is petty in spirit and will support a dishonest employee rather than admit an error on her workers part wether intentional or inadvertent.
All I can say is read your total, and if you find any irregularities, be prepared for the fullldamahe control vibe, at least on the part of hal of the ownership . read more
