The staff and teachers CLEARLY love Jesus and believe the Bible is the whole Word of God. They do not water down their faith to accommodate for worldly culture. My children come home singing worship songs they learned at school, quoting scripture they have memorized, and having theological discussions. The academics of Isaac Newton Christian Academy are amazing as well. My children are doing FAR more then what they would be doing in public school. My third grader is reading a novel a week (on top of his Bible reading and study). My first grader is learning spelling words I did not learn until much later in my education. Math, Science, Computers, Arts... everything is top notch. Some parents have a difficult time with the homework load and academic expectations when it comes to switching their kids from public schools, but this is to be expected when the standards are higher. My kids never complain about homework load, because this is all they have known, and I am very proud of them for learning to work and achieve excellence. If you are a Bible believing Christian, this school is for you! If you want your kids to have the best academic experience, this school is for you!

Probably one of the best churches in Marshalltown. It is on the large side (maybe over 700…read moremembers?). Exciting sermons, in-depth bible study and sense of community. Comfortable atmosphere. Friendly people and staff. Just walk in and grab a cappucino and take a deep breath and feel at home. Wednesday night dinners and classes for the whole family. There really is something for every person, no matter your age or where you're at in your relationship with God. While hymns are sometimes used, worship music is usually very contemporary, some songs verge on being "rock" music. Something a little different each week. Very missional, bible-oriented. Pastor and staff really love the Lord and love serving the people. They really try to get everyone in the congregation involved and into a thriving relationship with Christ. The church has communion bread and "wine" together once a month. No liturgical "high church" here. Just people fellowshipping, worshipping together and serving each other. As a side note, the drama team is outstanding, and they don't shy away from sharing the whole Gospel!

Sometimes the 1st time is awkward....like having everything right in front of your face and still…read morenot seeing it. Does this make sense? I worked at Coralville Central 2019-2021 and it is my favorite school I have been a special education teacher. The principal Andy Gahan helped me with everything and is the most kind, genuine, and loyal person I know. I was a victim of childhood trauma, psychological abuse, and struggling with my mental health and he did everything in his power to get me the help I needed. That was hard to say but I hope it empowers more people to get help if they need it and/or help someone out if they need it. Andy is the best and made me the best teacher/woman I can be in a silly way....I love how he makes everything fun and funner! He continues to encourage me to read and to work on my handwriting in his own way...I came last night and I'm back again today to relive the memories from the good 'ole days at Coralville Central (CC Pedro). My co-workers were the BEST too and it never felt like work; Miss ya Forest Lady, McDonalds, Dust Buster, Elsa, and Tiom. Remember anyone who brings annoying loud toys has to pay for dinner;)

This pseudo-park is part of the Coralville Central Elementary School and is absolutely fantastic on…read morea sunny day. The small creek that runs through it sets a very nice background for a park with a number of small seating areas and a very nice, though slightly out of place, bridge that crosses the stream about 50 feet from a road that does the same. A bike path through Coralville traverses the park and makes for a lovely segway between neighborhoods as you bike or run through. As it is part of the school, it's not ideal to go during school hours as they use it for outdoor class, but after hours or on the weekends it makes a great spot for some dog time or just relaxing with friends and enjoying the outdoors.
