The manager Greg went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and safe. The bathroom and rec-room were clean and well-equipped (the rec room had a very nice kitchen which I was free to use). There was a laundry room as well. I definitely felt like I was glamping.I was invited to join in activities and made to feel very welcome. The tent site was clean and level and had shade and a picnic table. The RV park itself was quiet but the road was busy and could be noisy at times; nevertheless I slept well. There were birders and butterfliers there who helped me plan my itinerary when I asked and were generous with their knowledge. The resort even had a bird walk area. It's very close to a beautiful state park and a superb butterfly garden. I highly recommend it!

BUT it was a homey place to stay, the pool and spa were immaculate and kept that way and the funky tiki bar added character. Beautiful landscaping in the small pool/tiki bar area but less lush elsewhere in the park. Very big lots compared to the parking lot style RV parks nearby and included picnic tables and patio area in addition to parking for your vehicle and RV. Clubhouse is the only wi-fi zone, and the wi-fi there is just so-so. On-site manager went WAY out of his way to accommodate us - turned on the spa when we were the only users, found us a carport the evening a hail storm was predicted. We paid a third of what we paid at a nearby RV park last year.

And all of the other "Winter Texans" we met here at the park were fun and friendly! We had a lot of fun participating in group events, exploring the area... and just relaxing by the pool (which was needed after too much participating in group events and exploring the area, LOL!). Everyone was having a blast... and the Opening and Closing ceremonies for the events were a blast. Add to that all of the OTHER stuff going on at this park... and you'll need a vacation after your vacation! Line dance classes. Water aerobics. Darts and billiards events. Ice cream socials. Musical performances and dances. You name it! This place is HOPPING! They really put the "active" in "Active Adult" around here! Add to that our large, level site with clean concrete, great 50-amp electric and full hook-ups and we were lovin' life!
