Joseph and Angel replaced my 20 year old A/C unit and air handler today - 27 June 2018 - We decided to call Bentz before our unit died and we would be on a waiting list for a new one. Joseph explained in detail the workings of the new unit. He called the day before the installation to verify the time. He and Angel arrived when they said they would and started work immediately. We cooled the house to 65 degrees so it was liveable while they had one out and were putting the new one in. Joseph noticed a dent in the bottom of the new air handler and would not install it. He went to their shop and got a brand new one and finished the job. Although it took about two hours longer than was planned for, the house was still quite nice when they finished and turned the new one on. The two men did their job and did not stop for lunch. I woke up Saturday morning without a/c, I called Bentz at 7 a.m and they were here to see what my problem was, by 2 p.m and diagnosed the problem. By that time my house temp had risen to the 90's. On Sunday morning I called again to report my problem, and Tim Miller, my tech came to my rescue and climbed into my attic crawl space and discovered that my vents were leaking air. He proceeded to put tape of the joints, which helped. But first thing Monday morning he came back with a bucket of putty to cover the tape to secure no leaks in the future. And by that evening I had a cooler house. He was so good at explaining the problem and showing me pictures of the vents so that I could see for myself the before and after effect of his work. I had the absolute BEST experience with Bentz and their tech Joseph. I called them out to get a second opinion after I was told that I needed a new system because my compressor went down. The tech came out right away, did a full inspection and informed me that my compressor was fine. Joseph had my AC up and running within an hour for a fraction of the cost of an entire new AC. He did a great job on the repair then went above and beyond cleaning the unit and giving me routine maintenance tips. Joseph was very professional and courteous and answered all of my questions. My significant other passed away last year and before he passed he found some "cheap" company to install an upgrade to a 4 ton unit. I had a problem with flooding and of course the "old" company ghosted me. I contacted Bentz and their technician came out. He discovered a freon leak in the coil of the air handler and spent a lot of his personal time trying to get another coil from the manufacturer. They would not do anything for me and I decided to go ahead and replace the entire exterior / interior units. They were most gracious and treated this woman very well. Everyone at Bentz was polite, professional, and communicative. When my air conditioner quit, the person answering the phone asked knowledgeable questions, turned me right over to service department, and scheduled me for the next morning. The guys arrived promptly and explained what the were doing. They spent time making sure I knew how the inside control worked, also. My AC stopped cooling in the height of the summer. I called Bentz Air, not only did they agree to come out they were there within a few hours. The house was 88° inside by the time he arrived. Got me back up running within an hour and for a very reasonable fee. He gave me suggestions on maintenance and next steps to keep it running efficiently.
