I am recovering from a laminectomy surgery on my neck, and also I have lower back pain that was limiting my ability to enjoy my life. Since i began physical therapy at Green Oaks, I have had such a turnaround in my physical health. They have been so very patient with me and helped me during the loss of my mother by continuing to reach out and let me know they where there and waiting for me to be ready to come back resume my therapy and get better. Miss Jackie's phone calls and messages gave me a glimmer of hope during a time of grief. It also kept me in check reminding me that i had something i needed to finish in order to get better. When I came back, John's comical touch had me laughing my way into recovery, not just physically but emotionally. Haylee who I refer to as captain did her thing making sure I didn't have a huge gap in my sessions when I ran out of days like other places had and was able to take charge and work with my insurance and I didn't even skip a beat! And top Dog Andy watching over everyone, making sure everything runs smoothly gives me a sense of feeling safe in knowing i am in the rite hands. I went to Green Oaks Physical Therapy for herniated discs in my lower back and completed 13…read moresessions. During that time, I spent less than 15 minutes total with an actual physical therapist. I was never given a clear treatment plan--no explanation of goals, what the exercises were meant to accomplish, or how they would improve my condition. I also never received any meaningful evaluation of my progress. About halfway through, I brought in a new MRI and results, but they were never discussed. No adjustments were made to my treatment, and it didn't seem to impact my care at all. Most sessions consisted of me doing exercises on my own with little to no supervision. When there was oversight, it was usually from a student or aide--not a licensed PT. My pain levels were largely ignored, and I was repeatedly told to continue the same routine. I believe physical therapy can be helpful, but this experience felt impersonal and ineffective. I was essentially paying $428 per visit to do exercises I could have done at home. It felt more like a high-volume operation focused on moving patients through quickly rather than providing individualized care. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Green Oaks Physical Therapy.

I thought I would have a lot of physical disabilities after this and got very bummed out because of it but they got me back up and going. Their practice is extremely rare in that they see you in their own individual rooms, listen to your issues, work on you in there and sparingly have you doing exercises in a joint communal room, and even when that happens, it is spacious, not crowded and is quietly relaxing. The whole experience from start to finish is a rare experience of tranquility, relaxation and expertise (most are doctors) that keeps their focus entirely on you throughout the session without constant distractions from other PT's and clients. I do t think this office has any regard for people's time. I arrived for my appointment early and…read morewaited 30 mins in the waiting room. I approached the front desk and asked what time my appointment was because I had been waiting for 30 mins. When I was told my appt time was 30 mins over due I was told there were still two patients ahead of me. I sat down and waited another 15 mins, I then went and told the desk clerk to annotate my chart as not seen due to doctor availability. They didn't even offer to reschedule my appt. In fact they didn't even care that I would be seen. I am now without a prescription, PT referral and still in pain. Don't think I'll be returning.

Love the Baylor Scott and white rehab facility just down the street from us, where I go for back…read moretherapy and training in exercises that will strengthen those critical core muscles that got out of shape . Deandra, their super capable receptionist, assisted in getting all the paperwork sorted out the first week, and therapists Andrew and Becca have been hands on with their guidance as we find the right exercises to continue my improvements. I've been a patient now for almost 2 months and have improved tenfold thanks to their tutelage and couldn't be more pleased. This is an excellent facility if you are also in need of physical rehab and they will assist you in finding the optimum exercises to do at home between your visits - I am looking forward to actually seeing my orthopedic surgeon for re-evaluation next week, since he will tell me no need for surgery as I continue to improve, hurray!
