I went here with a friend in February or March 2024. Before I went, I of course did research to see which rooms I wanted to take pictures in, and I picked my outfit based on my favorite room. But then I got there and learned that they change the rooms! So, the teal cloud room I was excited about was no longer there. We took pics in 3 of the rooms: the blue cloud/column room, the monster loveseat room, and the flowers room.

Her maternity photo studio at home was very nice and she helped attend to the background and helped with arranging clothes as needed. We borrowed a couple outfits from her client closet. During our water birth, she was on time and respectful of the birth environment and did not disturb me. She took a LOT of candid photos in the hundreds and gave them all to us. I liked her capturing every raw moment, because they are moments you'll never get back and it was much appreciated. Looking back, it's precious to have these memories and appreciated Serena accommodating our requests and being so kind and patient with us when it comes to the gallery and downloading.

I recently hired Mia Hope to do pictures of my sister and I for our business (head shots, fun pics…read morefor our bios, etc.) and the shoot was SO fun! June, Claudia, and Nick were rock stars (and you feel like you have your own private paparazzi, which is fun!) and made sure our shoot really captured our personalities. They made us comfortable, took risks (asked a guy if we could take pics in his classic car, and he said yes!), were super fun, and completely professional. How much better could it be wandering through Old Sac, having martinis, and playing in the water all in one shoot? That was just the shoot... then we got the pics. We were very pleased with how the pictures turned out. First, the technical quality (white balance, exposure, warmth, everything) was exceptional - I always look for that first. And second, the creativity was awesome. Our personalities and where we are in our lives RIGHT NOW really showed through. I have seen plenty of photographers try to get that moody look, or try to be flirtations and it just doesn't fit the subject - not so with Mia Hope. The other thing I really loved is that some shots were that faded sun-drenched look that is so in right now, but only when the specific picture called for it. Others were clear and vibrant, and still others had more of a vintage feel. I love that they let the picture dictate the processing. SO NICELY DONE!
