Go with another window treatment company and you'll get good service. Go with Bergen County Blinds and you'll get exceptional service. My fiancé and I moved into a new home with no window treatments. We thought "hey we'll just head over to Home Depot and get some blinds, install them ourselves, then put some curtains over them or something." Until we measured our windows and found out the depth was too small to inside mount. We had the option of outside mounting blinds but we hated the idea of seeing outside mounted blinds in our open floor plan. We started looking into roller shades and Roman shades. We knew we wanted these installed in our home by someone with a much better eye to detail than we had, and experience when it comes to window treatments. We looked at 3 different window treatments companies before we found Bergen County Blinds. Company #1 gave us an ok quote, but the quality of the window treatments left a lot to be desired. Company #2, the prices were just off-the-roof crazy. Company #3 was local, gave us a good quote, and provided quality window treatments- but we were so disappointed when they kept making big mistakes. They would send us quotes excluding window treatments that we asked for, make us go back and forth to their place for swatches that they forgot to bring, and just overall confuse us. Frustrated, I decided to contact one more place- Bergen County Blinds. Michael responded to my email request through his website that day with a phone call. He provided great insight to the roller and Roman shades we wanted.. We requested a quote and scheduled a consultation. Michael was so responsive. For the consultation, he spent a lot of time with us ensuring he understood every detail of what we wanted. We chose Hunter Douglas shades for our living room/dining room, Graber Roman shades for the kitchen, and Graber blinds for bedrooms. We just felt so relieved working with Michael. It finally felt like we were in good hands. Joel came for the window treatment installations. He was awesome- so considerate to ensure it was a good time in our work day and very punctual. What a great team. We have no regrets going with Bergen County Blinds and we know we'll go with them again. We work from home and look at our windows everyday. It makes us so happy to look at our new shades and just see this extra level of care put into the home we love. Bergen county blinds was a pleasure to work with. They were friendly, timely, and professional. We got plantation shutters in several rooms along with motorized shades in our 2 story family room. They all look amazing. They even went so far as to made a final visit to hang blinds (for the garage) and curtains we purchased elsewhere as a curtesy. They also detected an imperfection in one of the windows in our office (looked perfect to me!), and insisted on coming back to replace it. Excellent customer service, and fair pricing. I was initially going to go with a more commercial brand like Blinds To Go when I stumbled upon Bergen County Blinds on google. Thank god I did because Michael is fantastic! I am so happy I was able to give him my business instead. He is incredibly friendly, personable, professional, and incredibly responsive. He directly answered all my calls and came to our house for a consultation and was very honest about pricing and styles, taking the time to go through all the options with me and pros/cons for different styles for different rooms. The day of installation, he came with Joel and they were fast and efficient with the installation and my blinds look amazing, I am so so happy with them. Even one of the pieces had been shipped in the wrong size and Michael did a rush re-order on them and also had noticed some scratches on the blind covers and replaced them all when he came back to install the last blind. Great service, great quality, and my shades are gorgeous! I have a blackout cellular shade in the bedroom for when I have to work the night shift, and I've been able to sleep the days away in restful darkness. The top-down/bottom-up shades in the living room add a pop of color (we decided on red!) and allow us to enjoy the sunshine and maintain our privacy at the same time. We couldn't be happier. read more
