I ordered 16 windows. Installation went smoothly but they replaced a window in the wrong location. I had 4-100 year old windows in a bedroom to be replaced but they installed one window in a bathroom instead of the bedroom. The bathroom window was not very old so I don't understand how the mistake was made. So now I have 3 new windows and one old drafty window in my bedroom. Dmitri is a nice guy but he is not doing anything to make this customer happy. I am a businessman and if a mistake like this was made I would have made good on it immediately, no questions asked. We moved into a 100 year old house with 52 windows, at the time, only 4 of them opened (and were new), otherwise the rest were original single pane with half the sash weights and ropes missing and completely painted shut. This was terrible for energy efficiency and keeping heat in (or staying warm during the winter). Over a period of a year, I reached out to several different contractors, in which I was literally quoted the cost of a down payment for a house in order to get the job done. Dmitry provided one of the best prices for double pane vinyl replacement windows. When we finally locked the job in, we waited 4 - 5 weeks for the custom window orders to come through, we scheduled a date, and his team came in 3 days and replaced all 48 windows and inserted aluminum capping. The windows came in a few weeks later and Oscar and his crew came to install them. They used tarps indoors as needed and removed all old windows and any debris. Dmtry's crew replaced old, paint chipping wooden windows which date back to the year the house was build (aka lead). I mentioned this concern to Dmtry-- I wanted to know what precautions will be taken. He assured me they do a clean job, and that everything will be protected. Day of install came: crew arrived almost on time (I counted at least 4-5 different men on site), the lead, George was very quick to jump in and began removing old windows right away. I had to stay on top of him to make sure he knew to cover exposed areas with tarp whenever something was left out. This apparently was too much of an ask. Towards the end of the work, I surveyed the apartment and found that a tall rack which I used to keep my kids snacks and other food was left completely exposed. As were the countertops, stove and just about everything else. The dust scattered over an entire apartment. For the 5-10 minutes it would take the crew to drape a tarp over the remaining furniture, it will take me hours to clean after them. If I have the courtesy to do what you've asked (and took a day off so I could fulfill) to move the furniture so the workers have a clear and efficient access, I expected reciprocation. I can't get over the carelessness of the crew and disregard of my concern and need for safety. Unsure if this is a payback for the rejection the owner felt when I didn't reciprocate his unnecessary, unwanted flirtatious advances via texts. The service is unacceptable. Cannot recommend this business. Do better Dmtry. Edit: absolute kicker, the crew installed a window 10 inches shorter to the original one. lol what?? read more
