My fiancé and I moved into a new home with no window treatments. We thought "hey we'll just head over to Home Depot and get some blinds, install them ourselves, then put some curtains over them or something." Until we measured our windows and found out the depth was too small to inside mount. We had the option of outside mounting blinds but we hated the idea of seeing outside mounted blinds in our open floor plan. We started looking into roller shades and Roman shades. We knew we wanted these installed in our home by someone with a much better eye to detail than we had, and experience when it comes to window treatments. We looked at 3 different window treatments companies before we found Bergen County Blinds. Company #1 gave us an ok quote, but the quality of the window treatments left a lot to be desired. Company #2, the prices were just off-the-roof crazy. Company #3 was local, gave us a good quote, and provided quality window treatments- but we were so disappointed when they kept making big mistakes. They would send us quotes excluding window treatments that we asked for, make us go back and forth to their place for swatches that they forgot to bring, and just overall confuse us. Frustrated, I decided to contact one more place- Bergen County Blinds. Michael responded to my email request through his website that day with a phone call. He provided great insight to the roller and Roman shades we wanted.. We requested a quote and scheduled a consultation. Michael was so responsive. For the consultation, he spent a lot of time with us ensuring he understood every detail of what we wanted. We chose Hunter Douglas shades for our living room/dining room, Graber Roman shades for the kitchen, and Graber blinds for bedrooms. We just felt so relieved working with Michael. It finally felt like we were in good hands. Joel came for the window treatment installations. He was awesome- so considerate to ensure it was a good time in our work day and very punctual. What a great team. We have no regrets going with Bergen County Blinds and we know we'll go with them again. We work from home and look at our windows everyday. It makes us so happy to look at our new shades and just see this extra level of care put into the home we love. I'll follow up with pictures of our roller shades when our living room furniture comes in, but here's some pictures of our Roman shades!

The furniture items were sourced from many furniture stores and I felt she did an excellent job finding items that were beautiful, fit the overall design, and reasonably priced. We needed window treatments for all the windows in a new home that we just purchased. I contacted them and spoke with Trisha, who was very helpful, patient and set up an appointment for an in home consultation. Curtains were a very expensive option and Ken recommended solar shades as a cost-effective but sleek looking option. I also sourced quotes from other vendors including Budget Blinds. As it turned out nearly all the quotes were around the same range but Ziegler's beat them all. We decided to go with Zieglers and Sons Window Treatments. Where Ken excelled and his team excelled was in the quick turnaround time and a beautiful installation job. We've heard some neighbors were unhappy with other vendor's but Ziegler's was absolutely amazing and the shades in our home are perfect! I love supporting family owned and operated businesses! We purchased 6 new blinds and we had 2 other ones repaired. We are very happy with the entire process. First, Ziegler is one of the few quality places in the area that will repair blinds that they did not sell to you. The repairs were done quite well and promptly. The new blinds are lovely and the installation was excellent. In fact there was a piece of each of the valences that needed to be shortened. The installer went back to the shop to do this and had it done the same day. The measurements were carefully taken so that the new blinds fit well. Upon the recommendation of Mr. Ziegler, we went from old blinds fit over the windows to new blinds fitting IN the windows. He was right - they look better. These people really know what they are doing. I recommend them highly. read more

Days ago, we bought a set of blinds and shades from Ziegler & Sons. They just look fabulous and beautiful. The team showed up right on time and did an effective work in installing them. They were knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy guys. Moreover, they were very honest as not even once they tried to convince me to buy any of their products and charged me a very affordable price with a proper invoice of the service done. My entire experience with Ziegler was excellent. I had 2 sets of very dirty metal blinds that needed to be cleaned. On my initial call I was told it would take 2 days. I dropped them off on a Tuesday around 1pm and they were ready the next day by lunchtime. After putting them back up I had another surprise, they attached knobs (which we never had) to the pull strings on both blinds and the up/down and open/close are easier to adjust.This was done at no extra cost to me. I highly recommend Ziegler and will continue to do business with them as needed. read more

We were considering replacing our existing sheer drapes in living room an dining room with new custom drapes. After the sticker shock of price estimates, we thought about having the existing drapes cleaned, with one panel re-hemmed after an encounter with our cat. We are enormously pleased with the work that Ziegler and Sons did; the drapes look new. The whole process was easy and a pleasure. This company has to be the best in the biz. Very friendly and great work. I called them in to redo all my window treatments and they actually told me my shades can be cleaned and repaired. I was skeptical at first but figured I'd try and I also bought new for a few rooms. All the cleaned ones I swore they switched out with new ones. I was amazed. I called Ziegler & Sons to remove, repair, clean and replace my blinds and I cannot express strongly enough how pleased and impressed I was. The "floor to ceiling" blinds in my sunroom were in very bad condition and they came back like brand new, and working properly. Not only did they do a great job, but the price was totally reasonable. Don't ever struggle with your dirty blinds trying to fit them into your tub or hosing them down in your backyard, only to find ugly streaks when you re-hang them! Ken did an amazing job with all my miniblinds that had caked on dust that was almost impossible to remove. Ken used an ultrasonic method which made my blinds look brand new. They will even pick up and deliver if needed. And the best part is that his prices are very reasonable and worth every penny. He's a super nice guy too! :) read more

Once the shades were made they were installed immediately. We also had den shades restrung and steamed cleaned. They were taken down and returned within two days. Great people to deal with! I dropped off a blind to be repaired. Once raised up it was difficult to lower. Trisha who greeted me said the strings may have be replaced and should cost around $75. It was actually just one part and was $35. It was ready the next day for pickup. Trisha was very professional and pleasant and honesty and fairness is always welcomed! Faulty product and poor customer service: I bought 6 motorized blinds here and 2 broke after one…read moreyear of light use, and they refused to help repair under warranty and asked for a fee. They also wouldn't explain what broke and claimed user error such as water damage despite the blinds being in a dry safe environment with almost no use. I'd expect for the price, they would help me understand what broke, as I couldn't trust paying for their repairs as it could just break again. It seems that connecting any battery wand to the custom sized larger blind instantly shorts the battery wand, making it impossible to use. Per M&A, this is user error, even though they assured me the custom blind size was fully supported. They aren't standing behind that, and there is apparently no way to fix my blinds purchased from M&A. For the price, you can certainly do better. Otherwise you may end up with permanently non functional blinds.

I've used The Best Shades twice over the years. Both times, they were excellent. The first time was to install nearly 9ft wide shade across 3 panels of continuous windows. Other shade companies told me I had to break it apart into two parts because of the way shades are manufactured but Marat thought of an idea to select fabrics that look good horizontally and vertically so that the wide shade can be made horizontally. Great idea and great execution. The second job was to replace all the rest of the shades in our apartment. I didn't think twice to call Marat again. Efficient, professional, well priced and kind staff (my toddler insisted on peeking in during the install in each room and the team was very sweet to her).
