At first I was a bit shocked. Not a computer in the place, not at reception, not in any office and everything done the old fashioned way, paper records. When I have an appointment in Whiting my medical record is transferred from his Lacy office to this one. When I walked into the office I was thrown back into my childhood, the 60's, noticing the old style medicine cabinet and a desk. I can say with not a doubt in my mind this has been the finest doctor and staff I've ever visited in my 56 years. I have MS, diabetes and many spine surgeries so I've seen a lot. The Doctor's staff, and I mean every one, is not only super professional but it is so obvious that the entire team cares about one thing... your good health and care. Dr. Crisan is bang on every single time. Several months ago I was in a lot of pain and really pretty sick. Dr. Crisan was right on top of it and began his process of eliminating what it could be by a serious of tests whereas we found a Common Bile Duct Stone. The Doctor's staff worked like lighting to get my insurance referrals and then transferred my records to the Gastro Doctor without delay. Again, the best doctor and staff I've ever had. Give me old school with extensive knowledge and a kind staff anytime. You can't go wrong here.

The procedure that I am most thrilled with is called Via disc. It is 5 procedures of cadaver implants. I cannot say enough about this wonderful procedure. It takes 2-3 months for each implant to begin to work. It has been approximately 10 weeks since my first procedure & I am 70 percent improved. I would recommend this to anyone suffering with spinal pain. It is fabulous & well worth doing. Had little to np pain after each procedure, which lasted a day or 2. TRY It!

I have heard horror stories about back surgeries making things worse (which is why I let the issue persist as long as it has.) Thanks to Dr. Jasper and taking the process one step at a time we have accomplished pain reduction and continue to work on the issues causing numbness, etc. I like that he takes his time explaining procedures and I love the fact that he doesn't jump in with both feet and perform deep, painful, long recovery surgeries. I like that we try this and see how we do and then pinpoint what else can be done. I truly believe Dr. Jasper wants to see his patients out of pain. You may take my post as "he is dragging things out" but I see it as let's not go crazy and put you through tremendous pain only to find out we have to do something more on the other end. In my opinion THAT is about the dollar, not the patient. Dr. Jasper WILL help. He will do everything in his power and I thank God for him! His staff is always friendly, professional, helpful and accommodating.

After my needle biopsy showed a positive reading naturally I was very nervous. I got in to see Dr. Shifrin within a week of the biopsy results to come up with a game plan. I'm on blood thinners so it makes for a complicated case. He did another ultrasound on it to confirm the size and he thought its in my best interest to remove the whole thing instead of half bc if the surgical biopsy came back positive then I would have to go back in and remove the other side. With me being on blood thinners for life it would be dangerous to stop again so that's what we did. Leading up to the day of surgery I kept in contact with Amy C who coordinated all my visits and paperwork. She was awesome! She took all my nervous calls and calmed me down every time. Post surgery I was swelling up pretty good so I reached out to Amy who then connected my with Tara the PA. She got right back to me in between their scheduled surgeries and saw me to look at the swelling. She and Dr. Shifrin both met up with me and did another ultrasound to make sure there was no fluid build up in my neck. After they saw me they went back to their next scheduled surgery. Tara followed up with me for the next couple of days to see how I was doing. The pathology report came in within a week and it was positive for papillary cancer. Tara called me again to go over it and was very compassionate and calmed me down. I just had my 2 week follow up with both Dr. Shifrin and PA Tara Corrigan and they were pleased to tell me that all the cancer was removed and I'm free of it now. My family and I thank everyone there for walking with us through this tough scary journey. If you're shopping around for a thyroid surgeon and happened on this review please take my word and come see them. You wont regret it!
