What an absolute blast from start to finish. The freestyle portion was next-level exciting. Nonstop action, huge air, and engines roaring in a way that keeps you on your feet the whole time. Bergeron Rodeo grounds is pure wholesome family fun. We were on the grounds for the Winterfest. I enjoy the old part if Davie and this is a great place to visit with children. The baby goats were adorable. We watched them eat for a while. They had many food trucks to choose from and carnival rides as well. The line dancing was great. I would definitely come back for that. The 4H organization was talking $5 donations for parking. That is a wonderful organization that teaches children about frowning plants and raising animals. Definitely a good cause. read more

We attended the rodeo at Bergeron Rodeo Grounds. I pre purchased my ticket online and entry was a breeze Parking was organized and the arena was only a short walk from where we parked. There were a lot of vendors, including food, adult beverages and hat seller. The Davie Arena on the rodeo grounds is covered and there are large industrial fans, so although it was over 80°, we were comfortable. The arena seats 5,000. I really enjoyed all the rodeo competitions but next time I will read Rodeos for Dummies before I go to learn all the rules. The rodeo is a great family event, I recommend a visit to Bergeron Rodeo. read more

It was a good time and a fun time if you're into rodeos. The one thing is a recommend to avoid going in the summer, it's way too hot. I found the tickets to be quite expensive for what it was though but albeit still worth it if you want to do something different and unique. Additionally, the food they sell is quite expensive so keep that in mind. read more

Fun place for kids and adults they always have something fun going on there this time we went to touch a truck and my daughter loved it lots of trucks with sounds. Activities for the kids. Concession stands. To support small businesses it was a blast alot of the times they also have animals. Must go to event place lots of parking and fun . read more

Loved the monster truck show that that has here. I also have been here many times prior because a friend of mine competed in riding competitions. Great for field trips and the kids absolutely loved the their visit. The only downside were the restrooms. They had dead bugs l, shredded shower curtains and were half in half out of commission. Not very sanitary so I had to leave four stars. read more

Rodeos are so much fun! Too bad they don't happen often in South Florida, however, when they do, I try not to miss it. The Davie pro rodeo has a great facility as the rodeo grounds are covered, they offer a wide variety of food vendors from, BBQ, burgers, sweets, ice cream and drinks. They also have activities for kids, such as petting zoo, horse rides, mechanical bull. It's a really fun family friendly activity. They usually have it 3 days straight, with Sunday being the shortest day as it is the championship. The facility is great. I highly recommend you trying a rodeo! You'll have a great time. read more

I cannot believe I have never done a review here. I have been here for an antique car show and have also been three times to watch the rodeos that go on inside the arena. I have had fun every time - the rodeo is great family entertainment, enjoyed by babies right through to oaps! It is fun to see most people dressed up like cowboys and cow girls. It definitely makes you feel like you are in the Old West! There is plenty of parking, and there is always ,memorabilia to purchase, beer and drinks and they usually have food trucks and bbq food. Rodeos in Davie date back to the 1920's. In the 1940's, the Davie Rodeo Arena was built by Davie pioneer families along with Claude Tindall and Percy Bergeron. This is the oldest rodeo in Florida. In 1978 the rodeo grounds were almost lost to development but 178 residents rode on horseback to city hall in protest and the town council decided to save the rodeo grounds. The Davie Rodeo Association then formed to manage the events. The rodeo became part of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association circuit. In the 1980's Ron Bergeron, son of Percy Bergeron purchased the land for the parking lot. He also paved and landscaped the entrance. Besides the rodeo, the 72,000 sq ft indoor/outdoor arena that has 5,000 seats hosts other events like concerts, monster truck shows, and craft fairs. The Animals Rights Foundation of Florida as well as other major animal welfare organizations in the US oppose the treatment of animals by the rodeo. Animals are wrestled to the ground, choked by ropes, and subjected to electric prods and and bucking straps. While I appreciate the historic nature of the rodeo I don't find torturing animals to be entertaining and would not attend a rodeo. We have successfully ended dog racing in Florida and this along with circuses need to go next. That said the arena is very nice. I attended a craft festival and green market which I enjoyed. Parking is ample as are the clean restrooms. This is a great place to attend an event as long as animals are not being harmed. read more

My friends and I went to see the pro-rodeo last night. The venue had some good points and some things that could use improvement. The workers are friendly, the place is tidy, the bathrooms are clean, large and air-conditioned, and there is plenty of parking. The food and drinks were fair priced. The rodeo experience gives one a small-town country time experience, which makes you feel like you stepped outside south Florida. The venue needs some updating. There is only one small video screen, there is no electronic display of the scores of the riders, and we found it pretty hard to hear what the announcer was saying. If the event if full, there is not much room between people on the metal, uncomfortable benches. We found that the announcing of events was not clear. They would change events/competitions and not make an announcement of which event is being done. They also didn't announce the winners, so one had to remember the scores of each rider. read more

It's a rodeo ground. What is there really to say about it? I come here every year with my job for the Construction Career Days. It is a yearly event put on by consultant firms and government agencies of the transportation/engineering world.High schools that have engineering academies are invited and their students to get to participate in various activities and even participate in mock interviews. Usually after the event the Bergeron staff gives out Rodeo tickets for their upcoming rodeo in November. My son and I thoroughly enjoys this event. The rodeo that is. We went last year and had a blast. There have various vendors that consist of food as well as apparel. The staff was courteous when I went. I would definitely go back! read more

Here for Alligator Ron's Wingfest! Always a great event in this venue! Featured 5 local cover bands, School of Rock, several restaurants competing for the best wings. Beer & frozen drinks and vendor booths. I especially enjoyed the bands: The Regs & Crush! The restaurant that won the Best Wings (drumroll please...) was Spankin the Hog! Loved their Sweet and Spicy wings & Zydecco wings. I had the Rum Runner Frozen drink which was very refreshing and well worth the $9. My only suggestion would be to put up some mist areas to cool off! read more

Well we went to the Seafood festival......maybe not the best thing in a cow town but it was refreshing to see a small town event so close to the big city of Miami. It really wasn't a seafood festival but a market with crafts and food. I did have a lobster roll that was overpriced for the size but the flavor was good. The parking was 5 bucks, the entry 10 bucks and the lobster roll 20. SO I was at 35 bucks before I really got into the craft and vendor area. Not a real value. Folks were nice and the vendors were desperate for customers, almost to a fault. Tried to find a few things to make it worth their while and did get some stocking stuffers. More seafood would have been good. But the food choices was great. Portions at other vendors great and a good value. But it wasn't for seafood. More what I have become used to here in the 305. Hispanic food done well. I applaud the rodeo grounds for trying to find new revenue streams.......no signage on the street......so they need to work on their marketing. I will patiently watch to see if there is another festival any time soon. read more

We went to the rodeo. It was packed. They charged $5 for parking and there was no available parking. The police led all of us onto the street to park illegally on the grass. We asked for our $5 back and they said no refunds. Then, Since it was veterans weekend, we asked if there were any military discounts since my wife and I both served in Afganistan. They said no. Even though they were giving other discounts such as Groupon etc. Even a Dollar would have been nice. It was Veterans Day! read more
