I completed my Flight Instructor Certificate with Asst. Chief Flight Instructor Dan Diamond (he does most of the initial CFI at Berichi Aviation, he's known in South Florida as an expert and instructor pilot training. One month later, I came back to do my Flight Instructor-Instrument Rating. The owner (Charlie Berichi) had since promoted Dan so he was now the Chief Flight Instructor. Thus, I got to fly with Dan again (the Chief CFI does all the CFI-I ratings, too). It was a real pleasure. Dan is a former Charter Captain and US Air Force trained. He's also an FAA A&P Mechanic with FSDO Inspector Authorization (IA). So he gives you a really comprehensive maintenance briefing on the planes your flying and their internal systems during your training. I felt like I could build the airplane at the conclusion of our training. I did my CFI in their Piper Arrow N2248G (most beautiful and well equipped Piper Arrow I've EVER seen). I did my CFI-I in N626CB. Very nice G1000 flight deck and has all the options. Charlie Berichi did all three stage checks. He's a G1000 expert, taught me some excellent user shortcuts in the G1000 that made me much more proficient. All the instructors at Berichi Aviation are FAA rated Airline Transport Pilots with thousands of hours. Some of them fly corporate jets on the side but they are all career flight instructors. This is in part why I came here. You won't find this standard of Instructor at ANY other flight school in the area. All the other schools have little kids teaching with next to zero flight time or experience, wasting your money while they build hours for the airlines and leave in the middle of your training, leaving you stranded and forced to start from scratch with someone else. Another reason I came to Berichi Aviation is they have the REDBULL plane! They are the only school that teaches in the FAA Certified Extra 300. It's new, too. I came initially for my spin training with Charlie Berichi. Once I flew his Extra, I was hooked. He's been flying my TBM 850 with me since. Other schools fly old rusty 1960's Decathlons of Pitts that are placarded by the FAA as experimental. NO THANKS. Fly Berichi's FAA Aerobatic Extra 300, you won't regret it. Very safe and you get to wear a NEW parachute for all Aerobatics. Very nice and very safe. They can pull up to 10 G's in that plane (I nearly passed out at 6 G's haha). Charles Berichi is the most amazing flight instructor. I started flying with him when I was 17. I quickly did my solo and now I'm getting ready for my PPL checkride. There are currently 6 girls at the school (I'm one of them) and about 30 guys. Berichi Aviation does a lot to promote women in aviation and connected me with the ninety nines and women in aviation scholarships. I felt very welcomed and part of the something great my first day; everyone shares common goals and works as a team to achieve their goals and it's a very fun environment. I'm completing ZERO-ATP flight training at Berichi Aviation and will be applying here as an instructor after I graduate college at FAU. Berichi Aviation facilities are awesome. On the first floor, they have two large classrooms with huge professionally made custom murals of their cockpits (DA62, T206, SR20, etc). This really helps learn the procedures on the ground; in air conditioned classrooms as you chair fly the flight with your instructor. Berichi Aviation also has simulators. Every airplane has a GPU. They hook up the GPU in their huge hangar and you do ground school on the G1000 NXI with them on your airplane. This simulation is how I mastered the G1000. Way better then traditional G1000 simulators--those are limited and not really G1000. This is the actual system in the aircraft. I'm currently flying the 2020 G1000 NXI C172S with AOA, and flight stream 510 blue tooth. They just bought this brand new plane 3 months ago and flew it home from the factory, I was one of the first students to fly it. Charlie Berichi has 8 planes, all very new and clean. He really takes great care of his fleet. So far; I have passed my two stage checks. The stage check instructor I had was awesome, as are all the instructors at Berichi Aviation (there are currently 8). Every flight is awesome, I feel very safe and we always do one fun goofy thing every lesson (zero g, take goofy pictures, check out south beach, etc). This is a very fun and professional school. They are an FAA Accredited 141 Pilot School which is great because I will get my commercial pilot certificate at 190 hours as opposed to Part 61--250 hours is the commercial requirement. I was a full time CFI looking for a decent flight school to obtain my CFII rating at. I decided to take some time off work to allow me to concentrate fully on the study and flying necessary to obtain this rating in the shortest time possible. Initially I started at a school in Pompano but unfortunately they offered everything initially but in the real world could not actually deliver any of what they promised so I left them. After some searches on-line and looking through many reviews I decided to contact Berichi Aviation at KFXE. My initial email was replied to very quickly by the owner Charlie Berichi and I was soon talking with Dan who is the schools assistant chief pilot. I explained to Dan what I wanted and that was to get well prepared for a CFII checkride in the shortest time possible, studying on a regular schedule and flying a decent and reliable aircraft. Sounds simple but you'd be amazed how many schools cannot actually do this. I sat down with Dan, we talked about what I wanted, put together a plan and I was soon on his schedule for both ground and flights. Dan was very knowledgeable in all aspects, the flying, technical subjects and the rules and regulations etc. and I felt very confident that I was in good hands for my CFII training. I also flew with Charlie Berichi CFII and owner. He was very professional and has high standards which I liked. We did holds, shooting approaches and he also helped me in familiarising myself with the Garmin GTN 650 which was a really nice addition to their aircraft. If you check out their aircraft pictures on line you will see that they are all well cared for both in cleanliness and maintenance which is a big plus as having flights cancelled due to poor maintenance when you are on a tight schedule is not good. Charlie also got me a checkride date a lot sooner than I thought I could get one as he knew I had been let down by the previous school so he looked after me in this respect which was much appreciated. In summary, I wanted to get well prepared for a CFII checkride in as short a period of time as possible, taught by knowledgeable people in decent training aircraft and thats exactly what I got. After contacting over 60 flight schools, I decided to do my PPL flight training at Berichi Aviation. This was a big choice for me as I travelled all the way from Australia just to complete my training. For me I wanted to avoid a "sausage factory" (a large school just wanting to make money of their students). Berichi Aviation is the opposite of this! My lesson plans were totally customised to my progress, and I felt almost as if the whole team were working only on me! The only portal they use is simple, and allows you to plan your time easily. I got my PPL in 41.3 hours! I was endorsed for your first solo by Owner and Flight Instructor Charlie Berichi in a record 10 hours! I completed a total of 14 training flights and 5 total solo flights. In one of my solos I decided to head down to Key West for the day and had an amazing time exploring the town (Charlie and the guys gave me a few recommendations as well). I primarily flew their Piper Cherokee 140 N2334T. It was impeccably maintained (as were all their aircraft). I also did a cross-country night flight in their Cessna 172SP G100, which was amazing. Probably the highlight was getting my high performance endorsement in their Extra 300L (the Red Bull air racing plane). I also managed to get my complex endorsement on the Piper Arrow - which was only $60 per hour! The classroom and offices were new and comfortable. Air con, free coffee, free cookies, free water etc. Everything you need to make you as comfortable as possible when flying and preparing to fly. Charlie was not only a knowledgable and very helpful instructor, but he also understood how much of a milestone and adventure this was for me, so assisted in creating many videos, and sent me heaps of photos, which provide great memories for me. I also flew with Asst. Chief Flight Instructor Dan Diamond, including my Mock Oral (which was invaluable in preparing for the checkride). Everything is approached incredibly pragmatically, with a view to getting you to pass your checkride safely and simply. Billing was simple, easy and transparent. At no time did they demand huge up-front payments or anything like that. I can't recommend Berichi Aviation highly enough! read more

Berichi Aviation in Fort Lauderdale, FL is the best commercial pilot training school in the USA--hands down. They train pilots that go to the airlines and they also train business owners, doctors, and lawyers that buy airplanes and fly around with their families, and for business after completing flight training. Berichi Aviation is the only school in South Florida that I could find with a 100% safety record. When you get there, you quickly see why. Their airplanes are all brand new and the instructors are all high speed American pilots that are "attention to detail." It's a paramilitary run operation. All the instructors partake in recurrent internal training as well. When I was there, they had 8 airplanes and 10 instructors. The operation is not too big so it doesn't have the faults that larger "Walmart like" schools such as ATP, American Flyers, or Embry Riddle has (large corporate schools are like factories-every student is just a number and most instructors are extremely young and have little flight experience with no commercial pilot work experience or professional pilot background--just time building at the student's expense). Berichi Aviation Instructors are handpicked, you have to be top of your class to work there, they only hire the best. They have accelerated programs for students (30 day PPL, 21 day IFR, 10 day multi-engine, etc) but also accommodate folks that are doing it for fun that just come in twice a week for a few hours. I've been at the school with friends that have trained there and I've come along for the flights and classroom sessions. Charlie Berichi is my favorite instructor. He's hilarious and we had so much fun flying with him on stage checks. His debriefs were informative and humorous to the point of a comedy show. We located pilots who had achieved the goals my friends had by asking around the airport when we were researching schools. Berichi Aviation has a solid reputation of new aircraft and "cream of the crop" Flight Instructors. They offer small classes (groups of 4-10 students) and also offer one-on-one training sessions, too. So there is tons of individual attention. Highly recommended, check them out. read more

I was by the area in one of my trips and found out Berichi Aviation on IAC.com (aerobatic flight schools website) and decided to give them a Call and here is how everything went. I'm a commercial pilot with more than 5k flight hours and currently owner of a Decathlon and was looking for a ride in an Extra 300. I called and talked to Charlie Berichi owner and instructor and got to tell you he was really professional, he heard me out in what i was looking for and managed to arrange everything i was looking for. As a Corporate pilot time is always an issue and Charlie Arranged plane instructor and everything to accommodate my flight in my schedule. When i Got to the Hangar i Saw that sexy looking Extra 300 parked in the ramp and got the wow face immediately, after a couple of minutes Chad Barber entered the hangar and we started talking, after some talking we went to the plane and started getting ready for the flight! Parachute on, canopy open and we were ready to go, Chad told me the safety procedures and we started the beast! Literally the extra is a Beast! You get the feeling you are starting a V8 American muscle car! Well we got to the flight, we climbed to around 5000 feet and started the action, as an aerobatic pilot i got experience with the maneuvers so I started slow and went up, we did everything loops, aileron rolls, half Cuban 8, Barrel Rolls (a lot, I love them), Hammer heads, well everything you can imagine the plane does it! Several maneuvers are done differently in this aircraft but Chad was always there helping and giving me all the tips in that aircraft! Got to tell you it has been one of the best flights of my life, there is nothing compared to getting off an aircraft and feel that satisfaction! And i got that! Definitely i would recommend Berichi Aviation for your flights! The planes are in great shape, they take good care of them and the instructors are really friendly and professional, definitely recommend Chad Barber best thing he is a Competition Aerobatic instructor so he know the real deal! read more

I ve been flying for over 50 years; have an aircraft single engine, multi engine, instrument and helicopter ratings....I am currently finishing my jet type rating. With over 2100 hours, I've flown with multiple instructors over my flying career. I only say these things to establish a bit of credibility. My jet training requires "upset training" -- you go up in an aerobatic plane with an instructor who teaches you how to recover from upsets, meaning the plane (along with pilot and passengers) are suddenly in an unusual attitude, the plane having departed from stabilized flight. It happens rarely, but, it can happen. The training is designed to equip the pilot with the proper means of recognizing and rectifying the problem and returning the plane to straight and level stabilized flight. I pictured someone closer to my age with a big ole pot belly, probably retired from the air force as my instructor, after speaking with Charlie Berichi over the phone to schedule our training.... Man was I surprised when I met Charlie, a tall, maybe 6'5" skinny handsome 31 y.o. dude behind those ray band aviator shades, I am pretty sure he's forgotten more about flying at the tender age of 31 than I ve acquired in 50 years of flying... I can't really tell you that I can't wait to get back in the Extra 300 aerobatic, stubby winged, io 530, 300 h.p airplane since I don't really like feeling sick to my stomach, but, I want to do it more to learn and acclimate.....it's part of the initiation fee into this very specialized field. I can't recommend Charlie highly enough. He's knowledgeable -- holding multiple ratings himself, including an ATP rating (the phd of aviation).....not only will you learn and improve your skills,but, you will get to spend time with a very professional nice person....! My "license to learn" hit a new metric this week, after completing @berichi_aviation accelerated multi-engine add-on. I am now licensed to fly planes with more than one engine. Big thanks to @berichi_aviation and chief Pilot Berichi for the incredibly organized and relentless training, and @Berichi Aviationtion for pushing our whole group to pass the finish line, as swiftly and affordably as possible. I completed my multi-engine training in about 1/2 of my expected budget, due mostly to high standards of the school, and the unique and highly-personalized and streamlined training regimen Chief Pilot Berichi has fine-tuned the in his years of professional instructing. I've flown and received instruction everywhere from Washington DC to Washington State, and everywhere in between, and have had a lot of good instruction, but if you want to know why his business runs better than any other flight school I've been a part of, call me. I'll give you a list. Being a business owner, I meet a lot of people. It's not uncommon to find a guy that's really good at running a business, and it's not uncommon to find a guy who's a good instructor. But the two usually don't coincide, which is why usually the best instructors work for someone who is good at running a business, but don't own one themselves. Chief instructor/owners Charlie Berichi is the exception to the rule, in all respects. When a local DP wasn't available immediately to do my checkride, he put 3 of us checkride candidates who were ready to take our checkride in a plane and flew us across FL to a guy who could test us all, so we didn't have to sit around waiting for a checkride potentially losing our laser focused proficiency. I'm realizing, as I'm writing this review, I'm echoing all the words I'd read and heard about him prior to meeting him the first day of class, which is exactly what steered me here. read more

I began my discovery flight with Berichi Aviation after my father completed his Biennial flight review. He has now started his instrument rating with their G1000 172 with flight instructor/owner Charlie. I am so happy to have been reintroduced into the world of flying, Charlie made it extremely easy for me to understand the operation given the little knowledge I have about flying. He educated me on all maneuvers we were going to do beforehand, and reminded me as we were executing so that I was able to understand what was happening during my flight. We flew over Fort Lauderdale beach, all the way down to Miami. The view was incredible, and the feeling of being in control was exhilarating. I highly recommend Charlie for beginners because he really provided me with comprehensive knowledge that I was able to understand given my flight background. Not only is Charlie great for beginners, he has shown my father how to be a better pilot and I love seeing how happy he is when he returns from a flight with Berichi Aviation. I always felt safe, and briefed. Everyone at Berichi Aviation was extremely professional. I have flown before in Canada, and my experience of the flight school was less memorable. I still cannot stop talking about how much fun I had! They have glass cockpit airplanes all which were in impeccable condition, and added to my feeling of complete safety. For my flight we took out the Skyhawk C172SP and was G1000 equipped. This week we will be taking out the new StationAir G1000 NXI Turbo 6-seater for a day trip to Key West with Charlie, thankfully it's air-conditioned!! I have invited friends along for the ride as I have the urge to share this experience with everyone! read more

I recently had the opportunity to take a discovery flight with Berichi Aviation on a Cirrus SR22T, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. Right from the start, I was impressed with the aircraft's cleanliness. It was immaculate, far beyond what you would expect from a typical flight school. Great training program. My CFI (Instructor Foster) is very comprehensive (especially with academics). My pre-solo stage check was done by Owner/CFI Charlie Berichi (and aerobatics training)--FUN FLIGHT! I solo'd really fast! Which was great because the old school I was at was getting me no where. These folks are all about fast results! They are all American career flight instructors (which no other school offers). I passed my written exam last week and my checkride is next week in their Piper Arrow. Most of their airplanes are new glass cockpit but the are very competitive with pricing (I checked everywhere before I selected this school). I'm going to do instrument, commercial, and multi engine commercial here then they have me lined up to fly charter back in the Bahamas which is great because that is exactly what I want to do! All the Bahamians are training here regularly, new school, it's like a hidden gem. They are by far the best instructors and planes in the State of Florida. The also are the only school with the red bull plane, everybody that comes through here gets a high performance and spin endorsement and basic aerobatics training during their PPL. No one else does this. I also got my complex endorsement the first week of being here which is great because all the commercial jobs want lots of complex time which no other school offers. They really mold you to be the most marketable candidate for aviation jobs right after graduation. read more

Charles Berichi is by far the most professional and attentive flight instructor I have ever met. He is extremely patient with me. My father and I are currently doing our training at Berichi Aviation. Berichi Aviation promotes women in aviation which is very important to me because there is a small population of female pilots. The facilities are Berichi Aviation are brand new. They have 70 inch TVs that mirror foreflight which really got me familiar with all the weather and sectional chart features and shortcuts. I'm completing my Private Pilot License and Instrument Rating at Berichi Aviation in there beautiful and brand new 2020 Cessna Skyhawk 172S G1000 with the GFC 700 auto pilot. I solo'd at 12.8 hours. Going 4 days a week and being committed really shows results, just like they recommended. I became proficient with the G1000 rather quickly. The trick is to write down all your questions so when you show up to the Berichi Aviation simulator sessions, you can gain the most from the GPU sessions in the planes while you are on the ground. The Angle of Attack (AOA) indicator is the same found in jets and the Flight Stream 510 with bluetooth is so cool, I connect my music from my phone directly to the cockpit which makes the flights even more fun! They have aircraft loaded with fun options. I highly recommend Instructor Charlie Berichi and Berichi Aviation--the best flight school in the world. read more

Hello everyone, I am a student pilot in Los Angeles. I am pretty close to getting my PPL. I had a chance to get training two aviation schools in Los Angeles. After changing the first school where I have full of unpleasant stories. I took up my training where I left off with another school in LA. I thought they are good until last week when I have a chance to fly with Charlie Berichi at Berichi Aviation School. After having some experience, I heard that Florida is one of the best places to get training. Therefore I get contacted with Berichi Aviation. Charlie gave a tour of the school and showed the fleet. All of them were well-maintained. We took the 2015 Cirrus SR20; it was fast, comfortable, and air-conditioned (it was a blast). Next time, I would like to fly with the 2020 DA62( my personal favorite). The facility was clean and well equipped. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I met with instructors who are experienced in aviation and knowledgeable to train the newcomers. That's important for me because I would like to learn more about aviation. It was a pleasant experience from the start till the end. Lastly, I found the best school to attend after getting PPL. I can't wait to learn more about the best air crafts. If you are looking for a school to attend, Berichi Aviation is the answer. I wish I had a chance to start my journey with them but never too late. read more

I am a commercial single/multi engine pilot. I'm currently completing the 14 day accelerated CFI training program at Berichi Aviation in their 2020 Skyhawk N637CB under Chief Flight Instructor Dan Diamond. All of Charlie Berichi's airplanes are brand new and the facility is state-of-the-art. All of the instructor's are knowledgable and friendly and all have thousands of hours. Most have military, airline, or corporate flying experience which is great because they apply their first hand professional flying experiences in their daily teaching sessions. Berichi Aviation is the Cessna Pilot Center at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. They have 8 airplanes which is great. If one Cessna is in oil change or a 100 hour inspection, there is no delay in training as I can hop right into another airplane that is the same exact make/model which I'm flying. My daily training sessions are fun, productive, and filled with excitement. I cannot express enough how comprehensive the training is. After the completion of my CFI initial in the Skyhawk, I will be completing my MEI add-on in their Diamond DA62. I came down to Berichi Aviation to complete a BFR, complex endorsement, and high performance endorsement. I accomplished those objectives in a weekend despite being pretty rusty. I also walked out with my flying confidence being the highest it has been in years. I did my BFR and the complex endorsement with CFI Charlie Berichi in their Piper Arrow, which was a very well equipped, really nice plane. I then completed my high performance endorsement in the Extra 300 with CFI Donnie Ditty. That plane is practically new, and is a lot of fun. There aren't many places in my neck of the woods that will give dual in an Extra 300, so this was a cool bonus. They have nice facilities, with a comfortable classroom and refreshments always available. They were very professional with billing and scheduling, so there were no surprises. After a flight, the CFI would say "I see x hours, do you agree?" A detailed invoice was provided for every flight, and everything came out just as expected. I also received reminder emails before each scheduled flight, and had the ability to see my schedule online. Overall, I would highly recommend Berichi Aviation, and I plan to return for more training in the future. read more

Our family had an excellent time during the Keys Tour in the Berichi 2018 Station Air. The plane was clean and air conditioned. It was only two months old. The Flight Instructor was Charlie Berichi. We had an awesome time flying low level around Key West. On the way there, it was very smooth and we got an awesome birds eye view of the Marathon and the rest of the small keys. The take off was very cool. We took off east bound towards the buildings in Fort Lauderdale the followed the beach. Our family got some great photos of South Beach and downtown Miami and Brickel. Very honest company with the best equipment in town. I was shopping around but the other schools in the area are flying very old 1970's airplanes which fundamentally isn't safe. The FAA says aluminum in those planes has a life of 40 years, they old 70's airplanes should be flying. Check out Berichi Aviation'a new planes and you'll have piece of mind. I will continue to come back. They are very professional and catered to all our requests. Charlie said "I'm the auto pilot, your the Captain." Haha, so we got to do everything we wanted to do on demand. read more

I've been thinking about getting my pilot license but wanted to feel it out first, so I took a 60 minute training flight and 20 minute ground lesson with Berichi Aviation. When I arrived on site I was welcomed by my pilot instructor, and president of the company, Charlie Berichi. He gave me a tour of the facility, offices, classrooms, and hangars--I was very impressed. They have many different aircraft and very experienced instructors. They large classroom for ground lessons. In the classrooms, there are large blow up posters their actual cockpits, detailing all of the controls. Charlie Berichi explained the basics and then I was ready to get in the air. The airplane I flew was new, clean, and to my surprise, had air conditioning. He showed me how to use the rudders and I drove the plane down the runway to prepare for takeoff. I increased speed, pulled back, and I was FLYING!! What an amazing feeling. We flew down to Miami and saw some amazing views. Charlie did a zero gravity maneuver which was so fun. I worked on flying level, maneuvering the flaps, using autopilot, and increasing/decreasing altitude. read more

Berichi aviation is second to none. I have flown in all levels of airplanes in my life, but there is something great about flying in a set of planes with no issues. All the planes they have are within a few years of age with some even being brand new. The Cessna's are all with G1000 avionics or better. The Cirrus is G1000 and Air Conditioned (what a comfortable experience). Since they're a Cirrus CSIP (Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot), getting the VFR and IFR transition is a breeze, now I can rent a Cirrus anywhere in the country or purchase one without a long additional training period . I was able to achieve 0 hours logged to Private Pilot in two months of part time flying, I also received my High-Power endorsement. With my timing , i ended up flying with all the different instructors; Charlie, Natalie, Ryan, Fransisco, Brandon, and Luke. All of them are great due to level of experience and patience. There is also a special level of fun flying with all these people; we are constantly flying in formation, doing special maneuvers and power-off 180's. read more

I've been flying at Berichi for the past couple of months and so far it has been a good experience! I came in with my Commercial rating looking for airplanes to continue building time in and I definitely wasn't disappointed. All airplanes are in top condition which builds confidence in the reliability during flight. I was able to gain valuable experience with the G1000 cockpit layout which is very good today since everything is transitioning in that direction. The flight instructors are very experienced and make you feel at home. I also needed a BFR done, and within short notice I was able to get a slot time with an instructor. The small classroom atmosphere adds to the success of this school, being able to have face to face/personable contact with an instructor. Charlie the owner loves when you fly, so even with short notice if you're not able to schedule on Flight Schedule Pro within the 2hr window, he'll gladly assist you.
