There are so many books to browse in the two story bookstore - there's definitely something for everyone. There's also a separate vintage bazaar that has vintage clothing, shoes and housewares. I've found the most elegant outfits for weddings. They DO have designer clothes. They tend to be pricer, but they have sales periodically and you can step in some diamond dust. This is a non profit. Wonderful kind people with excellent taste donate items here with love. Usually the local loyal patrons drop off nice items they no longer need. The boutique truly is a special place. I have consciously chosen to donate mint condition beautiful items instead of selling them, because I love this store and what it offers to humans and animals. You actually support cats and dogs buy shopping here. Their sister store in Lenox is great too. I have a special place in my heart for Catwalk in Great Barrington. I love the women who work there. They're some of the kindest warmest authentic women I've ever met. I always feel better walking out of Catwalk! I used to buy the majority of my wardrobe there, but then I moved. The boutique has such a great vibe and wonderful fantastic finds, that I used to stop by almost every week, even if I didn't have to find anything specific. Often times I'd buy something I didn't need at that moment, like something fancy, but then I'd have an occasion to wear it later. I swear Catwalk has an auspicious crystal occasion ball. We have purchased antique prints, glassware and WWII memorabilia. But you have to get there early. Doors open at 9:00 and people start lining up as early as 6:00 a.m. The line starts at the west door. The regulars bring "sold" stickers and quickly place them on items as they are enter the building. Parking is limited and tight. The building also houses an antique mall with a broad arrange of east coast antiques. Ask for a 10 percent discount if you pay by cash or check on items over $25. The staff is friendly and accommodating. If you like antiques, Sanford and Kid is a unique and fine experience.

They had a variety of items--jewelry, souvenirs, framed prints of artwork, comics, maps, and something I found particularly unique: framed book spines. As we browsed, the employee working there was incredibly friendly and helpful. Although we were initially on the fence about purchasing an art print, we ended up getting that along with some of the framed book spines. We recently returned to the area and decided to stop by again. This time, the owner was there, and he was just as friendly and helpful. A few years back, some coworkers had given me a gift certificate for the store after I told them about it. I had completely lost track of it, but the owner called his wife to see if she could locate any record of it--and within 10 minutes, they found it! We left the store with another large framed print, another book spine, and an enlarged, framed vintage train ticket from the Northeast Corridor. If you're ever in Pittsfield and looking for wall art or unique souvenirs at good prices, definitely stop by this cute store.

We got our hands on an $18 metal hanging bird bath, ornamental metal hooks for about $6 ea. and a few other things. In a nutshell, Facsimiles has it all with banging prices.
