I get enough chicken at home. :) My first experience was about 4 weeks ago. I had been back three times since and have not had a bad meal yet. The three sauces were a perfect choice to go with this meal. The next thing is that you choose the vegetables, which were fresh, and of course, they were delicious. The good thing is that it's all assembled right there in front of you as you tell him which vegetables you want. Then he wrapped the sandwich in paper and then aluminum foil. Decent Halal food, good price. This place is in a gas station. They have 3 outdoor tables if you want to sit down. I came in around 4pm so it wasn't busy. I ordered chicken rice bowl. They gave good amount of rice and salad. Chicken was a little bit less, and since it was pretty cut, it wasn't hot. The staff suggested to get all 3 sauces and it was a good decision. I enjoyed the meal, the sauces were pretty good. I hope the food could be hot next time I visit, and maybe an option to order extra meat. read more

The Bread is super fresh, the meat is cooked and shaved perfectly, the sauces are flavorful and the Service is quick.... I'm at a budget gas station filling up on cheap gas. Speed Trac is the name. Never heard of it, but it was CHEAP! I go in to take a leak and smell something heavenly wafting from the left rear of the convenience store. After relief, and washing my hands, I head over to check it out. Looks like Souvlaki but they call it Doner. They say it's a dish you can find in Berlin, Germany. I guess it's German Souvlaki. But there is a wrap, somewhat like a pita, but bigger and lighter. Oh.. We lived in Germany and fell in love with Döner, while there. We've eaten Döner stateside and haven't really been impressed with any of them. So as soon as I saw that this place existed, I had to make the drive from Syracuse and give it a shot. The Good: food wise I've not had better Döner in the US. The bread was delicious. The toast it to crisp it up and it is legit. The meat is most and well seasoned. The veggies are fresh and tasty. The sauces are legit!! I got a mixed meat Döner with everything...and it was absolutely phenomenal. Best I've had outside of Germany. The bad: Honestly as far as the food goes, nothing. I was super happy with everything. My only complaint would be that it's in a gas station, but I couldn't care less. In summary: the place is a must if you are a Döner fan. I am a German teacher and I brought 30 kids there on a field trip. The owner took great care of us. Had us in and out in great time, put up with all of my students' silly changes and gave us some free sodas too. Really great experience and worth even the 2 hour trip in a school bus. read more

I am forever on the lookout for a German Döner Kebab in the US and saw this place while road tripping. Just wolfed down a Döner and it was solid! I got beef and lamb which is the typical meat. Taste took me right back to Germany. And the bread pocket it's served in is also good! read more

Not gonna lie I was a little hesitant to try this place since it's located in a gas station but don't let this deter you. The last time I've had chicken and rice was years ago and from NYC. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the chicken and rice plate was and the white sauce is spot on!! The chicken was tender, savory and everything else went to well together. It is a huge portion size so I love how I have leftovers now. Service is quick. It only took them 5 mins to make our meals. Highly recommend checking this place out! Okay, yes it's a gas station. That said, it was clean and the staff was very friendly. My son and I went there for lunch on a Saturday. I had the lamb and beef wrap and my son had the lamb and beef plate with rice. If you are good with spicy food, I would opt for all 3 sauces. They assemble the food to order. The vegetables all looked fresh and the meat was flavorful. My wrap was plenty of food and a good ratio of meat to veggies. My son's rice plate was an even larger portion of food and a great deal for the price. While there aren't tables inside, there was a counter by the window which we sat at. There isn't a ton of space, so don't count on being able to find a seat. I will definitely be returning. read more

Great food and service and very reasonable price on top of it. Generous portions. The meat was cooked on a vertical spit and shaved off which is always comforting. The wait staff was friendly and attractive. We had the Lamb Shawarma sandwich, Beef Shawarma Manakeesh and Znood. The shawarma was tasty and well marinated when tasted by itself without sauce. Okay I have never had a doner before. I grew up eating gyros so I expected a similar experience. Man oh man! It was phenomenal. I had the German style doner. The bread used to wrap the meat was crispy and chewy and fresh and sopped up all the juices. I got the mixed wrap so chicken, beef, and lamb. Seriously so good. Saw the article about this new Halal kebab place and you know I had to give it a go. I will be honest in saying that convenience stores are a hit and miss. With my luck at Jays Kitchen I figured I was on a roll. I was not disappointed. First off, you can't go wrong when you see meat on a spit being shaved off. My wife got the Doner wrap with chicken. It was fantastic. She loves the shaved chicken. I got the lamb and beef rice plate. Very good with the yogurt and garlic sauces. My son got the chicken and rice plate. No sauce. The plates are generous and the rices is very fluffy. When you mix it all together it is very good. I wish the rice had a bit more flavor by itself. To top it all off I got a Jamaican beef patty. Tastes just like the golden crust ones a get at the grocery store. The thing is I love those so I can't complain. All in all a very good addition to that area. Their Doner plate with rice was very tasty and filling. I skip the spicy sauce but my spouse gets all three sauces. We both prefer the lamb beef to the chicken and they are very generous with the sides when asked (I don't want any red cabbage so they put mine on my spouse's and then some). Sometimes they have some feta cheese and I ask them to put some on mine when I available. Delicious and filling! A great combo (I never have any leftovers)! read more
