However, after discussing the problem I was coming in for with the front office person, the person suggested I come in the next day. She considered the underlying health risks and the current situation knew it would be more detrimental to wait. Upon arriving to the appointment the next day, the staff were kind and respectful. They were efficient, friendly demeanors and all wearing smiles at 8:15 in the morning. Dr. Rockett himself was very professional and straightforward. He was very informative of what was going on, how the treatment would go, and what precautions I needed to take. I was very happy with the treatment plan and his bedside manner. It was extremely refreshing to experience a medical office that still knows how to make their patients feel comfortable and know that they will receive the best care possible from everyone in the office.

Texas Gulf Coast Foot and Ankle is the podiatry medicine department of the larger Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group. I am a patient of Dr. Giacomuzzi (Dr. G for short). Dr. G has been a practicing Podiatrist since 1988. He was originally with MacGregor Medical Group when I first became his patient. For those who have been in Houston a long time, you'll recall that MacGregor was a 12-clinic system associated with The Methodist Hospital System (similar to how Kelsey-Seybold is with St. Luke's) that closed in 2002. Dr. G has seem me and my immediate family for various foot ailments, multiple avulsion fractures, custom orthotics, and surgeries to remove foreign objects from our feet. Dr. G is very personable and provides excellent care. I have personally referred many people to him over the years and now I am referring him to you. In my opinion, you can always tell what type of person a physician is based upon the amount of turnover you see with his staff. Dr. G and Dr. Briggs have had the same basic staff for years with very little turnover. To me, that speaks volumes about the docs. Appointment Tip: You can call Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group to schedule an appointment but I have found it easier to call the Podiatry Department directly and speak to Jennifer. I wish I could put zero stars. Dr. Reyhani was great until there were complications. He had a great…read morebedside manner, and I really liked him He did surgery to remove a bone spur the next day. I went to the ER in excruciating pain. He never called or showed up. Long story short (too late, I know). I got a huge infection, and he put a hard cast over the infection. I'm not a medical professional but you tell me, where will an infection go if it's sitting a hard cast and can't breathe? That's right, straight to the bone. I ended up septic with 104 fever. He did not come to see me one time. He sent his partner and who saw me for like five minutes and did nothing. I had to find another doctor and the hospital to operate and clean out the infection. Unbelievable! I ended up being on IV antibiotics for several months, which had a side effect of tearing tendons. It's been five years, and I am still dealing with torn tendons in my ankles. If you need ankle or foot surgery please go to an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in feet and ankle. That is my biggest regret in this whole situation. I'm going to post a picture of my infection. It's pretty gross, so don't look of that type of thing bothers you.
