I would not recommend him at all. He took a big chunk out of my tongue during a crown removal. The assistant blamed it on my tongue moving around during the procedure. I said, so the next patient is going to be told that there is a good chance a chunk of tongue will be taken out during a crown removal? They finally decided to use a tongue depressor to hold my tongue down and keep my tongue out of the way. Their excuse was that they did not anticipate the movement. What is this, the first time they have done this? Then the assistance kept running out of the office to get things. Why were they not prepared for all the tools and items they needed before I got there? There were more issues but I'm only going to concentrate on two: the chunk of tongue they took out and the disorganization. I'm not going back until Dr. Nguyen comes back.

He was able to do the surgery and remove both teeth with the speed I comfort I never experience before. It was just "top, top and pull" and the tooth was gone. Wow, it was amazing and Dr. Miner is amazing and absolutely the best! Today, I'm still doing great, no pain and no bleeding! I think Dr. Miner is the best oral surgeon in the San Diego area. He is also supper nice and made me feel comfortable and safe before and during the procedure. I was very, very scared but he was able to calm me down and still performed the surgery without sedation. The fact they played the "Insurance Game" (which is the worst game ever invented) shows that they care. The office is clean and incredibly organized. Scheduling was easy, and despite being a busy practice, everything felt well run. A couple of minor drawbacks: they're definitely on the pricier side, but I truly think the quality of care and convenience justify it. Also, the treatment areas are separated by dividers instead of walls, so if the person next to you is giving their life story to the hygienist... congratulations, you're part of the conversation too. Then I was seen by a dentist , she sat down next to me , introduced herself but not pleasant. She looked at my x ray , I have one tooth that bothering me and may need extraction. Got up and went to front desk with a bib attached to me. Charging me 1200 for bone graft and other charges I really dont need. Worst thing , they will not pull my teeth without a bone graft . Where is patient rights? When I said bone graft doesn't really cost that much , he bargained with me to 800 $. During multiple visits regarding ongoing pain in a tooth, I felt dismissed, interrupted, and unheard. Rather than listening to my concerns and working collaboratively to identify the cause of the pain, I was repeatedly told, "There's nothing else I can do." At one point, he even blamed me for not bringing up a concern that I had, in fact, already tried to explain. The issue began after he replaced some resin on the side of a tooth to address sensitivity. The pain continued, and my bite felt noticeably off afterward. When I returned for a cleaning and to discuss the ongoing discomfort, he seemed uninterested in investigating the issue. He suggested the bite problem was caused by grinding or clenching, despite no history of those issues and no evidence of wear on my other teeth. He then stated that I would need additional imaging or a referral to a periodontist, only to once again conclude that there was nothing else he could do. What was most frustrating was the inconsistency. After repeatedly saying there were no options, he later suggested replacing a partial filling on the very tooth that was causing the problem. If that was a possible solution, why wasn't it part of the conversation from the beginning? Adding to my disappointment, my routine cleaning was performed by Dr. Wright rather than the hygienist and lasted only a few minutes. My teeth honestly did not feel cleaned, polished, or cared for in the way I have come to expect from this office over the years. The front office staff and hygienists have always been kind and professional, which makes this review difficult to write. However, after multiple appointments where I felt dismissed rather than cared for, I have decided to seek dental care elsewhere. My advice to prospective patients is simple: be prepared to strongly advocate for yourself. Ask questions, push for explanations, and make sure your concerns are fully heard. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
