about two years ago I needed to find a new dentist. I decided to try Dr Hong based on reviews and her office was nearby. I have been going to Dr Hong for regular cleanings and other dental services ever since. I have been very happy with my experience with Dr Hong. Everyone in the office is professional and friendly Recently I decided to try Invisalign to help straighten my teeth. I just finished the Invisalign trays and am on my permanent retainers my teeth are straight for the first time in years and I couldn't be more pleased. Exceptional dentist and staff. Dr. Hong really cares about your teeth and it shows. She fixed my bite, alignment, fillings, etc. She pays attention to detail and will correct things other dentist don't notice. I just completed Invisalign treatment as well and couldn't be happier. Dr. Susan Hong is our family dentist. We've been going to her for years now, and never have experienced an issue. We find her to be responsive and caring and great at her profession. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable too! Dr. Hong has a keen sense of what is going on in my mouth and asks questions that lets you know that she understands the body and how it works. I have issues with bruxism, bad bite and TMJ with arthritis thrown in... and did you know that this can give you stabbing ear pain and make your ears feel like you are in high altitude? Dr Hong is rude to patients and staff. She admitted that she didn't know how to replace a broken crown and tried to get me to extract my tooth and get an implant. I was luckily able to find a dentist and get a new crown the next day. I do not recommend Dr Hong. She seems to push Invisalign and perhaps that is her main business. read more

Dr. Hong and her staff are both friendly and professional. I'm always greeted warmly when I arrive. During my cleanings, I've found that each staff member is thorough in both explaining what is going to be done that day, during the actual cleaning and afterwards with recommendations for home care. On certain days, you can make late appointments in case you can't take time off during the day. There's also a large parking lot so you'll always find a space close by. During the holidays, Dr. Hong's office is decorated to fit the festivities. Sometimes she provides games with prizes and makes it more fun! read more

Coming to the dentist has never been more pleasant. Dr. Hong did a great job with my fillings and she made sure I was completely comfortable the whole time. Her assistant is sweet and personable and her front office lady is so helpful and upbeat. I have never had a more thorough cleaning then I do here. Today, my 12-year old daughter went in for a cleaning. During the course of the cleaning, my daughter overheard the dentist, Dr. Susan Hong, talking with the Hygienist. During that conversation, my daughter overheard Dr. Susan Hong say, "She (my daughter) should have gone to the Orthodontist yesterday, like yesterday." That statement caused my daughter to become very conscious about her appearance. That is definitely not what you say in front of 12-year old girls or anybody for that matter. That is not the level of professionalism that I would expect from somebody who is college educated and a "Dentist". The Hygienist, I am told by my wife and daughter, was very professional and polite the whole time. My daughter told my wife about this conversation on the way out once they exited the Dental Office. My wife called the Dental Office awhile later and spoke with the receptionist who was very polite and professional when listening to my Wife's complaint of the poor judgement that Susan Hong displayed in front of my daughter during her cleaning. Since then we have cancelled all our future appointments with Dr. Hong and will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I've been going to Dr. Hong for several years now. I was traveling too far and decided it was time to find a closer dentist who is good and that I could trust (which is no easy feat). A friend recommended Dr. Hong and I was very impressed. She is an excellent dentist, but on top of that, she is also very personable, kind, fair and trustworthy. I've since switched my whole family of 5 over to her and we love going. The staff is great and has a fun dynamic, which makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience. She often has a different gift or drawing each month too so who wouldn't love that? All pricing is very fair and there is no upselling or recommending work when it's not needed. I asked if Dr. Hong also did braces and she is now doing my Invisalign (and I'm seeing amazing results after only a few months)! I definitely would recommend Dr. Hong. We absolutely love our dentist! My family has been going to Dr. Hong's office since we moved to San Diego almost 5 years ago. The atmosphere in the office is extremely friendly and fun, but is also very serious and knowledgeable when it comes to oral care and hygiene. I appreciate being given options and recommendations for real needs and priorities. There are never questions about billing or even procedures and whether or not they are necessary. Although a visit to the office can feel like visiting friends, everything is kept respectful and very professional.
