It was a very clean establishment and was relatively busy with customers. There is art deco on the wall by local artists. We were greeted promptly by what turned out to be our host and server, Alejand F. We advised him this was our first time at Sip Cedar Lake. He welcomed us and showed us a menu plus he pointed out the specials on the chalkboards behind us. Now before I go any further, the coffee house aroma of the food and coffee was awesome. We picked out the croissant sampler, Pistachio Cranberry and the OG Chicken Wrap. The food was delicious and large portions. The Chai Tea Lattes were tasty. If you know me, I am a big coffee fan. Tried their coffee. It came in an old fashion large mug with decorations on it. Almost like someone made it in a craft class. Inside, was VERY delicious coffee. Oh was so good. Very satisfying. Even after finishing the mug, there was a soothing after taste that lasted a long time. One of the best coffee I have had in a long time. I/We highly recommend Sip Cedar Lake as a place to go relax, enjoy great company and meet your neighbors there. Our host was wonderful and took the time to answer general questions we had. Everyone seem to know each other as customers came in and spoke to the patrons who were already there. You can order and pick up, or order and leave. Don't know why you would leave, it is such an enjoyable experience. Worth a stop in for a quick, cup of coffee or a sandwich and return to shopping in beautiful Cedar Lake. Upon arrival he couldn't remember if we could order inside or if this was a drive-thru only establishment. We figured this out and went inside. There was loud upbeat music playing. High energy baristas happy to help. I explained to the young lady that it was my first visit and that I had no idea what to order. She was so sweet and used her iPad to ask me questions about flavors I like and if I was thinking of going with a coffee drink or energy refresher. I'm thinking it's almost my bedtime. The last thing I need is more energy. Lol. We chose a blended frozen coffee drink; Golden Eagle with banana bread syrup, soft top (cold foam), and caramel drizzles. We also added a slice of banana bread, chilled not warm. We are both having it for breakfast. Love both the energy and the vibe of this coffee spot. It's like a party. I downloaded app and instantly received a FREE drink so of course, I'll go back.

It no longer has that comfortable, relaxing feel that made Soho Sweets such a pleasant spot for South Holland.
