This was my first time visiting Bernie's and it was AWESOME. We came for the $5 Friday night wine tasting and it was so easy and so fun. I got to try 6 unique wines that I probably never would have picked out - and they did not disappoint. I plan to bring my friends back next Friday to enjoy! You can stay and browse the very reasonably priced selection, enjoy the wines, pop next door for the cheese pairing - and just live your best life. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable - which is *always* appreciated - and made you feel very welcomed and happy. It's a small shop but it has a lot of personality; you can feel the love and passion that went into the space and it makes you feel oh-so-excited to be a part of it. Cheers!!

Friday's are wine tasting night, and for $10 you can sample their fine selection of 6 wines as well as sample unique cheese next door at Grater Goods for a fun evening of delicious sips and bites after a long work week.

Absolutely love Bernie's! A hidden gem just Marry Hill for wine lovers. The staff there are always super friendly. The Friday tastings always provide a nice vibe if you're wanting to try new things as well. I love that they are always able to provide recommendations specific to what I'm looking for!

Attending Bernie's Wine Stop wine tasting on Friday and had a really good time. The customer service felt like I was apart of their VIP club. The wine was perfectly described and also had cheese to go with the wine.

My friend recently introduced me to the Friday wine tastings at Bernie's Wine Stop. For $5 cash, you get a curated wine tasting of 5 (or more) unique wines. You are greeted by Victoria when you walk in and Bernie conducts the tastings. They are both super nice to talk to and are very knowledgeable about wines from all over the world. Grater Goods (next door) also participates in the Friday wine tastings by offering cheese samples to pair with the wines. If you decide to purchase bottles of wine that you sampled, you get 10% off. They have great newsletters that get sent out to ahead of time to let you know which wines will be included in the tasting. The other people that attend the tastings are friendly. This is a such a great spot! It's conveniently located in Murray Hill and has parking out front. I highly recommend this place. I love learning about new wines, and happy to support this local business!

Bernie, The Proprietor. Very knowledgeable about wines.

I went on a Food and Wine tasting with "Wine Inspired with Kara. This was one of the stops we made for a pairing. Bernie gave us a wealth of knowledge about different wines. You could tell his brain knows so much-he could go on for days teaching and sharing his knowledge. He had wonderful cheese and wine to share with us. It was so delicious. He also has wine tastings every Friday night for only $5.00. You will get to try about 4-5 different wines. This is exactly what I need, because I never really know what kind of wine that I want. So, instead I just always have a margarita instead! I get tired of margaritas all of the time. So, I can see myself stopping here on a regular basis-when I am in the area. Thanks @Wineinspiredwithkara and Bernie! So glad to meet both of you.

I kind of pictured in my mind Bernie Sanders...he wasnt there, but the other Bernie was equally as memorable. Has been in the wine business for 25+ years and really knows his stuff. He took the time to chat with us about each wine and what goes into making them...he also answered our dumb questions without making us feel dumb. Great selection of wines from all over and also offers wine classes with pairings from the cheese shop next door. I am not a huge wine person, but Bernie makes me want to try again!

Thanks Jake! I'm from out of town for work. Did a YELP search and found this WINE STORE near my hotel & also conveniently located beside a meat and cheese shop- I may add. All the more reason to stop by. This place does offer tastings and has a huge selection of wines. Jake is VERY knowledgeable and willing to share and educate, on the complexity of wines (I need all the help I can get). Most if not all bottle are between a $10-$50 price point. They have something for your palate and purse - Stop by and check it out !!

PSA: I am not a wine drinker and I came in here and could have been sold anything and everything that was 'recommended' to me. Bernie - He is such a great guy. He took the time to get an understanding of what my wife drinks and tried to use his best judgement for recommendations. Hell, I don't even know what she drinks... All the bottles look the same and I walked out with two bottles and spent less than $30! They also do wine tasting on Fridays but I'm sure you might have seen that from the other reviews. He told me they do two whites and three reds usually. They offer cheese from next door and ask that you bring $5 to contribute. I THINK he said 530-730. The sweet wine selection is very small. It's a fairly small store so that makes sense.

Yay! A great little wine store in Murray Hill! Bernie carries some great wines at very competitive prices. We picked up a nice little Spanish wine for under $7 plus it's walking distance to our house. He has a small selection of beer for those who want their beer fix, too, but overall--this is a WINE STORE. Two reasons to check out Bernie's Wine Stop: They carry a very nice selection of California wines and some from around the world at really good prices. And every Friday night from 5-7:30pm, Bernie and Tom so graciously offer wine tasting there to sample some of what they have to offer. Very happy. :)

Local wine shop in Murray Hill area. I asked the manager for some recommendations and he suggested these two. The Dude is my fave and I promise you'd like. My new fave place to want to get wine and support local owners.

    Bernie and his exceptional inventory.

First time in and impressed with range of selection for such a small, independent shop. Looks like a great addition to the neighborhood.

We'd been here before but only once prior to a Michael Jackson event at Painting With A Twist nearby. First, let me say that I made my beer choice on name alone. It ended up being a great sour red though, so I'm not mad at it. Humor goes a long way with me though, so even if it wasn't great I would've dealt with it on name alone: Cherry Busey! We only hung out for a little bit (again, we need to get home for dinner) but it would he very easy to stay for longer. You can see from the photos that they have a ton...and I mean a ton of craft beers. In addition to that, they have a big room with lots of room to kick back. Our night was delayed shortly when my wife decided to take on one of those wooden barrel puzzle. You can see her dismay in the picture of us! We both took a crack at it for a while and never did solve it, but we eventually decided we needed to let it go. You win this time wooden barrel puzzle! One other thing to note is that there's parking behind it. So if you decide to go there, don't be intimidated by what looks like street only parking. Go around behind the place and you'll be all set.

With as much time as I've spent in these 4 walls over the past decade, I am remiss to not have a…read morereview up about Beer:30. Most who know me know that I am a craft beer aficionado and many (and I mean, MANY) of the craft beers that I've enjoyed are bought from or enjoyed within the confines of Beer:30. I love a great brewery as much as the next person, but as someone who loves to try out new and different beers that are not located in North Florida, the local bottleshops are my usual place to go. Beer:30's staff works incredibly hard to have a wide swath of options for any craft beer drinker. I am someone who enjoys all kinds of different beer, but who usually opts for something on the sour side of the house. Luckily, there's usually something in the fridge or on tap that fits the bill. Not to mention, how many prestigious selections from near opposite sides of the country that they are able to obtain through their distributors. Another great thing about bottleshops is that you can put together a mix-and-match 4-pack or 6-pack to take home with you. You can even get just one or two if you don't necessarily want an entire 6-pack. I will forewarn folks that some of the cans may seem a bit pricy, but it's the unfortunate side of the brew scene as a whole with the cost of aluminum and ingredients consistently going up. Beer:30's ownership changed hands not too long ago, but what I've appreciated in that changeover is the quality events and promotions. There's a silent reading hour every Tuesday, they are starting to host Diana Testa and her Italian Cooking Lessons, different fundraisers for local nonprofits, as well as beer collabs with local breweries. They've been hosting all sorts of cool arts and craft workshops, plant swaps, Beer:30 Day (on the 30th of the month), tap takeovers, and beer pairings (that Sundae Fundae with Left Hand Brewing & Mayday Ice Cream has been my fave so far). As always, Beer:30's anniversary parties are a can't miss! Due to my work schedule, there's been quite a few that I haven't been able to take part in, but I'm so happy to see their success.
