When it came time to see Dr. Taylor she was prompt and well prepared having familiarized herself with my chart prior to coming in to the exam room. She was very engaging and thorough. We went down a list of items that were pertinent to my medical diagnoses and discussed strategies for obtaining our joint goals. At all times I felt listened to, valued, and respected. I then called the office recently; had to speak to an answering service and was treated with such disrespect. I requested a nurse to call me and was told it would be up to 48 hours to get a call... luckily she did call that day and when I tried to talk some about the answering service experience she didn't care and couldn't answer my questions about medication and was told to call the pharmacy.... back to looking for a new doctor:(

The people at the front desk are great and Dr. LaCasto made me feel so comfortable. They also offer massage. In fact, my friend got a massage from them last week and said they really helped him with his pain and tightness. I plan on using them for all of my massage/chiro needs here in SLO! I was nervous about finding a chiropractor here, because due to my hypermobility, it is really scary to go to someone who will be potentially "pop happy". The medical assistant should be fired for her lack of knowledge and for frightening me. I have told this story to many and they can't believe she is working in a doctor's office.

Up until last year, I was a patient of Dr. Stephen Sigmund for 15 years. His manner has always…read morebeen too brusque for my liking, especially in recent years. One problem that I have with his approach is that he tends to treat "by formula" instead of treating me as an individual. An example: on getting up out of a chair after a dental procedure, I felt dizzy--it was not a syncope; I did not pass out. The dentist sent me to Sigmund who put me in intensive care overnight. His excuse was that my heartbeat was below some magic limit. The fact is that I have been a runner all my life, and my HB is regularly below 50 in the morning. Sigmund had records of my low HB, but I feel that he didn't take it into account. The bottom line--an expensive hospital stay for what I think was a momentary vertigo. On the positive side, he picked up my prostate cancer from a PSA test, and it was successfully treated. The reason that I stuck with him so long is that he is very intelligent, which I value in a doctor. The reason that I quit was that he didn't always use that intelligence, and became more and more brusque and less communicative in later years.

Fact: it takes almost dying for most nurses to go to the ER. This was me last week. I honestly had…read morenever felt so sick in my entire life. I wanted to write this review because while this has been pretty much my only experience as a patient at a hospital, I am forever grateful for the treatment I received. I came in with a temp of 103.9 and a HR of 140. I was so dizzy I could barely stand. I was triaged within minutes and immediately placed in a bay. Every single staff member (several nurses, doctor, lab, EKG and radiology techs) were absolutely incredible. Professional, skilled, expeditious and truly worked as a team. Even though I was super scared, every team member took the effort to put me at ease. I write this as a retired RN who has worked primarily in ICU, but as well as Burn ICU, peri-operative units, and even a few ER shifts when I was a float nurse. Even though I have never been on the patient side until now, I've seen a things or two. Twin Cities delivered. Turns out I had a pretty severe case of pneumonia but a week later I almost feel myself again. The doctor encouraged me to come back if I ever have any problems or if things worsened. I feel relieved to have emergency care like Twin Cities in our community. I've read some pretty abysmal reviews and being a nurse, I know there are always two sides to the story. I reached out to the patient experience email but have not heard back. - I need the claim to be filed with my current insurance ASAP. Your hospital needs to refile this claim. Please provide an email to a responsible member of your billing team so we can finally get this task completed.
