I have been wowed by the sundae & flavor specials that Bishop's Orchards has been posting about for…read morethe last few months, but I live about 50 minutes away. Finally, I just had to taste one of their July specials, their own blueberry pie à la mode. You had the choice of blueberry or vanilla ice cream, and I needed blueberry. It had whipped cream and blueberry compote on top also. I enjoyed every bit. It was incredible. The large wedge of their own blueberry pie was excellent. I loved the flaky crust and there was a lot more blueberry filling than a lot of other pies. I had also been eyeing another flavor on their board, and what I ate was so good that I went back up to the window for a kid size cup cold brew pb chip. The cold brew flavor was strong but balanced, and it's rare that so many flavors work together in ice cream without one getting lost. I was really impressed this was one of those rare cases where everything shined and wowed, and it really was as good a flavor as I wanted it to be. I did not go inside the farm market. I just ordered at their ice cream window and ate at one of the outdoor tables. There were several of them, as well as a few benches, and it was a nice environment. The girl at the window was super friendly and helpful too. I loved my first experience. I can't wait to go, and actually hope to for another of this month's specials! Highly recommend a visit.

The farm-stand has a large store with produce, dairy, homemade pies and baked goods, prepared foods and even a winery where you can do wine tastings. We got a blueberry pie and it was one of the best weve had. Pies were $17.99 and it weighs 2 pounds!

This is now one of my top three breakfast places…read more I always start these out by saying I spent most of my life in the restaurant business. I also owned a bakery in the eighties. So I can be very critical when necessary. But not with this beautiful family run restaurant and bakery. I never remember names, but the dad was in IT and got out and bought this orchard. Mom does the cooking and baking. And the daughters are the servers. Beautiful vibe and family. And friendly farm cats. A very small but fresh menu. My friend and I both had different quiches. This was the best quiche I ever had!!! We also split a bowl of oatmeal that was filled with goodies...nuts, granola, etc. we both had the tea/lemonade combo that was also wonderful. Then we went into the bakery to pay. But will all the goodies we both bought way too much stuff. In addition to the incredible baked goods they have frozen homemade soups, homemade jellies and jams, local honey, and much more. The sourdough English muffins were excellent. When we left one of the daughters was picking herbs from the raised beds. I had to think long and hard about whether to write this review. I want them to be successful but not too successful. Go...but please don't tell anybody.

I stopped in their farm bakery and was delighted with the offerings. They had pumpkin whoopie pies, frozen pies, soups, and more. The pumpkin whoopie pies were the best I've ever had. My husband agrees and he's a whoopie pie connoisseur. If you love farms, farm stands, and supporting local businesses, I highly recommend.

We set out to pick fresh floral stems and pumpkins. We were greeted with so much more....The sweet playful house pup who immediately brought us an apple for a game (or 25) of catch. He made this whole experience so much sweeter for my girls! We had a blast chasing him around the gorgeous rows of vibrant flowers and filled apple trees. We could've stayed for hours playing with him alone!! We purchased mini apple cider donuts the girls gobbled down in two seconds flat. They LOVED these! $4 for a bag of a dozen, fresh and hot off the press sugary, perfectly snack sized donuts. They also offer grass fed beef, pork and chicken. We met the owner who kindly poured us samples of their delicious fresh, raw cider and showed us the original mill which is housed in their awesome, simplistic barn. (If you're traveling, remember to bring a cooler with ice as the cider is unpasteurized.) She also suggested I purchase a "Long Island Cheese pumpkin" which I had never heard of before! Have you?! She gave me instructions on how to bake it and make what she said will be the best pumpkin pie ever! (I'll keep you posted). She also gave me some local suggestions on things to do (Old Sturbridge Village, Mass) which we did and had a fantastic time! Thank you!! Prices we thought were very fair and it feels so good supporting small, hardworking business owners. This farm is on the smaller size, but it's absolutely full of that unmistakable pure New England charm and quality goods! We would come back here in a heartbeat and had a VERY memorable, awesome first trip! If you're in the area or maybe looking for a weekend escape, this fabulous farm is located in a quaint town that offers so much, yet is so far away from it all. You won't be disappointed making an entire trip out of heading this way.
