I recently hired Berry's Catering to help me honor my husband with a surprise birthday party at the Old Medical College in Augusta, Georgia. I couldn't have made the event any better and I owe the highest of praise to Cal Berry and his incredible staff. The menu was top of the line and as always the service, the quality of the food, the presentation, and the attention to details, was impeccable. The evening was everything I had asked for plus some. We celebrated with approximately 200 in attendance and those in attendance were very complimentary of Cal's efforts. I must also mention that this was my FOURTH time hiring Berry's Catering. My first event was June 6th, 2015, when our oldest daughter married and we hosted 400 plus guests at our home for her reception. I cannot praise Cal enough for making our daughter's dream wedding come true. It was perfect. My second event was December 30, 2022, for my son's rehearsal dinner in Appling, Georgia. Once again, Cal listened to my wishes and he met every one of them with no hesitation. Approximately 100 people were in attendance and everyone enjoyed our incredible dinner menu and the "no stone left unturned" decor. He made sure my son was honored and all of his favorite things were included in the event planning. And then there was the wedding....December 31, 2022. Cal showed his BEST at the New Years Eve wedding of our son and his beautiful bride. Her dream had always been of a New Years Eve wedding and it was FABULOUS! Berry's Catering & Events knocked it out of the park for the black tie event. I will never be able to fully thank Cal for making certain that our daughter in laws dreams were fulfilled and the night was one to be remembered. We have worked with Cal and his crew for 16 1/2 years at the Aiken Steeplechase. This consisted of two grand galas and Guarantor tent party twice a year plus the food for our owners, trainers and riders and our member's party. This is in the middle of a open field with no kitchen...just power and running cold water. These parties were absolutely fabulous down to the tiniest details. Delicious food, exquisite decorations (a different theme for every single party), beautiful flowers and the knowledge that Cal could handle any situation. When the tent was flooding...Cal and his crew were shoveling trenches. When we needed ice for the race horses on a hot day...Cal went to get it. Cal Berry basically helped me plan two weddings for my daughter after her Plan A was cancelled by the venue due to COVID-19. We had 3 weeks to pull off Plan B and I would not have wanted to walk through that experience with anyone other than Cal. The food was displayed so beautifully at the reception and many of our guests shared that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Some still talk about it to this day! And the floral arrangements...just breathtaking! Cal encouraged us not to hire a day-of wedding coordinator because he would orchestrate everything. Berrys Catering handled our daughters wedding on April 29,2023 at Tin Roof Farms. Cal Berry and his staff went over and beyond all our expectations throughout the entire year prior and during the wedding. Cal and his team took care of the Food, Flowers and all the decor for the Rehearsal Dinner,flowers and decor for the wedding , food for the Brides Maids and Groomsmen before the wedding and the reception for over 300 guests. The flowers and decor were absolutely over the top. The food was superb and everyone commented that it was one of the best weddings they have attended. My family attended a wedding of the daughter of one of our best friends this past weekend. Our daughter was also the Maid of Honor. OMG!! Everything was so beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. The entire set up was so well thought out and put together!! The floral arrangements were breathtaking!! Simply AMAZING!! We have used Berry's Catering at big events for our local United Way for years. They have always go above and beyond what we expected of them. The food is always great and his decorations are over the top. Cal is easy to work with and goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is pleased. On top of the food and decorations, they make sure when they leave the location everything is clean and most times better than when they arrived. We have always gotten more than we paid for. Berry's threw me a Ball. The Magnolia Ball held in 2022 in downtown Augusta was gorgeous. The food was Southern but party finger food, and excellent. The staff was dressed professionally in black and picked up as we went. Our ball was a fundraiser and it looked so beautiful and professional. As a nonprofit we had a modest budget but Berry's Catering and Events went above and beyond to really help us shine and put our best foot forward. We could not have done it with out them. I attended 2 events catered by Berry's Floral & Catering. One was a rehearsal dinner and the other a wedding and wedding reception. Both were very enjoyable events. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The venue was lavishly decorated. The staff was courteous and very accommodating.
