BUYERS BEWARE BERT OGDEN CHEVROLET I've been negotiating with Bert Ogden Chevrolet for the past week on an incoming 2027 Corvette ZR1X. I initially offered $90,000 over MSRP, which was apparently close to being approved. On Saturday, I was told one of the managers believed the car could bring $100,000 over upon arrival. I called the salesperson, Jose Leyva, and asked a very simple question: If I agreed to the full $100,000 over MSRP, could I lock the car in with no games? I was told yes. I was then told management had agreed to the $100,000 over MSRP, provided that half of the money was wired to demonstrate that I was serious. I immediately agreed and asked them to send the purchase agreement and wire instructions. They sent me the purchase agreement reflecting the $100,000 markup, but no wire instructions. I spent the rest of Saturday trying to get the wire information. I eventually asked to speak with the sales manager, Fred, who called me and personally assured me that the deal was good to go, the car was locked in, and the wire instructions would be coming shortly. Saturday passed. Sunday passed. I was repeatedly told not to worry because the car was mine and they were simply waiting for the business office/accounting to open Monday. Then Monday morning came, and suddenly nobody was responding. Eventually, the salesperson Jose text me a lengthy apology wording it as though my $100k was only an offer. That another offer had supposedly come in for $130,000 over MSRP, which they said they turned down. Jose and Fred then explained that they had done everything they could and that the final decision belonged to General Manager Jakob Waldbusser. I was then told they would be selling the car for $150,000 over MSRP. The issue here isn't the price. Dealers are free to price their vehicles however they choose. The issue is keeping your word. I was given a purchase agreement. I was told management approved the deal. I was asked to wire money to demonstrate that I was serious. I was personally assured by the sales manager that the deal was locked in. If your word means nothing once more money comes along, what exactly is the value of doing business with you? There was an opportunity to handle this professionally, even if management ultimately wanted more money. Instead, I was given repeated assurances that the car was mine and then left waiting while the deal apparently changed behind the scenes. In my opinion, this is a serious lack of business ethics and integrity. People remember how you conduct yourself when money is involved. Unfortunately, my experience with this team was that their word was worth less than the next dollar offered. Buyers should do their own due diligence and be extremely careful when dealing with this dealership and its management team. Zero confidence. Zero business ethics. A word should still mean something in business. read more

As a retired military member, I was turned away from Bert Ogden Chevrolet's service department simply because my vehicle is more than 10 years old. It's frustrating to see a dealership pick and choose easy jobs rather than provide genuine mechanical service to customers. If they're only willing to handle quick, low-effort work like oil changes, they should be upfront about it instead of presenting themselves as a full-service repair shop. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Bert Ogden Chevrolet to anyone looking for real automotive care. read more

Just that my trade was not paid off on time and when I called the financial department manager she told me" why didn't you turn off your auto pay" So instead of not paying my last payment for my trade in . If I could leave no stars I would! once they get you to purchase a vehicle they are NO HELP AT ALL. I had a VERY BAD experience after the fact. I might sound petty but it matters to me. I bought a new vehicle because I needed one. I was driving a 2008 Suburban and miles per gallon on that was horrible. Make sure you get anything agreed on in writing and on letterhead and signed by someone other than your sales person. Carlos no longer works at this place either so I am more than screwed. He agreed on adding window tint on the second vehicle that was purchased here because that's what I had just paid for on the first vehicle I purchased from him. I traded the first vehicle not even a month in and he assured me that on the new vehicle it would be covered the exact same tint I HAD JUST PAID FOR ON THE NEW ONE . Yeah its just window tint. Yeah they might think I can probably pay it myself. Other than getting this vehicle for better gas mileage I also got it because my parents live with me and I drive them everywhere they need to go. Heat has been horrible. Both my parents are over 80. I am more than mad. Make sure y'all cross your t's and dot your i's with this dealership. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THIS PLACE. read more

ON MY SOAPBOX!! DO BETTER BERT OGDEN-CHEVY MISSION!!! If I could pick a zero star I would. I am fighting with Bert Ogden Service center since this morning. Long story, so please get ready. They have had my Traverse truck all week, today is FRIDAY. It was towed to them because we couldn't get it out of PARK and the whole dash was lighting up like a damn Christmas tree!! We get it to them via a Tow Truck and it stays PARKED for TWO WHOLE DAYS without ever being TOUCHED by ANYONE!! Do you want to know why??? Because the Tow Truck (that delivered my Traverse to them) "Parked it too far from them and they couldn't get it close enough to them to check it!" That's the lame excuse their service department told me. Doesn't Bert Ogden Motors OWN their own damn tow trucks to move vehicles closer to the convenience of their service employees?? NOW, they FINALLY get it close enough to "check" it (never told me how) and apparently it took SIX guys to try and turn it off. They couldn't figure out how to turn off my truck, at the SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!! Someone (didn't get the name) then tells me on the phone that they are short staffed and that the original Tech my spouse spoke to (in charge of my truck) was out. Mind you, the gentleman told my spouse yesterday he was going to be out for a while as his wife was having a baby. Today on the phone JD (I got a name) tells me the original tech my husband spoke to is out on an Emergency. I told him not to lie and that he was out on paternity leave, which he is completely entitled to per law, BUT if everyone knew he was going to be out, others had to pick up his workload, No?? JD then tells me "let me find out who your tech will now be and I will call you back." I tell him "NOPE! Put me on hold. It's not like I have anywhere to go since you all claim you do not have a loaner vehicle for me while my vehicle is getting serviced!" I was upset and continued to tell him, "You all are taking your sweet ass time trying to figure out what's wrong with my Traverse , EVEN THOUGH YOU ALL HAVE THE FANCY GADGETS THAT YOU SHOULD JUST PLUG IN AND IT'S FREAKING SUPPOSED TO TELL YOU WHATS WRONG WITH MY PANEL AND SENSORS?" I do get placed on Hold and JD comes back on the line and says "I WILL call you back in 30 minutes once your car is "assigned" to a new tech!" It's been MORE than TWO hours. You bet your ass I called back.... Asked for JD and told him, "You were supposed to call me an hour and a half ago. Did you find out who the new tech is?" He tells me it's "Lauro" AND that he's working on my Traverse right now. It's Friday for God's sake... I doubt I will have a vehicle for the weekend!!! Bert Ogden Motors is great to sell the vehicle.... Servicing it???? Not so much!!!! And we ALL know that living in the Valley, it is impossible to be without a vehicle. Don't suggest Uber/Lyft unless YOU are willing to pay for it!! I have talked to Elizabeth Torres multiple times about buying a pearl white 70th anniversary C8 coupe. She said there is one available that is in transit available for $83,840. I agreed to purchase it. She set up an appointment for an appraisal of the trade in. She also said that the finance department will contact me to place the deposit. I drove my car over 14 hours from Fort Bliss for the appointment and also had to pay for a return flight. I have left multiple messages with the finance department. They have never called me back. It turns out she lied about the car being available. I was also contacted by Rene Lopez. When I called him back, I guess it was the F-ing janitor that answered and said: no say hablo english, and then hung up. How the hell are y'all in business with employees this worthless? I just wanted to say to you all how disappointed I am. I have been a customer of Bert Ogden for 14 years and I had been very satisfied until now. My husband and I were about to purchase a 2025 Malibu RS and had bank approval all week had to do is sign paperwork but because of your greedy sales people they wanted for us to do a contract for 52 months with $863 payment when Santander had approved for $0 down for 72 months payments of $668 including a trade in. But your people are so greedy that they wanted to force us on another deal when we had already agreed on a deal that was suitable for us. I hope this reaches the necessary people because not only did you just lose a sale but you also lost a customer of 14 years who not only was buying a car today but was also going to buy another vehicle next year. Ogden advertised a 2021 Corvette on Facebook for $82,000. This is a good price. I was communicating with Sam Garcia through Facebook's Messenger for 3 days, asking questions, etc. Sam even send me a copy of the Window sticker showing the price of $82,000. When I demonstrated I was serious about the purchase Sam then informed me, by the way there's a "Market Adjustment of $20,000". In other words the price was actually $102,000 - not the $82,000 as shown in the Window sticker, nor the price he quoted in our communications nor the price advertised on Facebook. Diego told me a vehicle was one price and after submitting my credit application 3 times he tells me there is a mark up and then lied saying he told me about the mark up (had he told me about the mark up, I would have never submitted the credit application). Diego then went on to tell me additional lies about how GM raised the prices so dealership had to raise theirs. My fiance and I purchased a 2010 Acadia from the Bert Ogden dealership in Harlingen back in 2015, I guess we didn't learn our lesson. I found a beautiful Range Rover over the weekend and immediately submitted my contact information to the Bert Ogden dealership in Mission, TX. About 30 minutes later, I received an email and a phone call from Rocky. I told him that I was already pre approved and we wanted to come in to test drive the vehicle on Saturday. My fiance is a teacher/coach so during the week is difficult. About an hour after we got off the phone, I received another email from them but this time from Annais Garcia. I didn't bother to read it. On Wednesday of the same week, I called Rocky top let him know that the I wanted to come in ASAP to test drive the vehicle and workout some numbers. A Hispanic gentleman with a very heavy and think accent answered the phone, didn't say his name, and told me "I'm busy with customer. You call back, I can't transfer" and hung up. I called back again and Annais answered. I told her that I was wanting to come in and speak with Rocky. I told her I was already pre approved and would be bringing in my pre approval letter. I also told her that I couldn't find the vehicle on their website or on on Car Gurus website. I asked her was the vehicle sold, she hesitated and said no it has not been sold. I asked her once more, I told her that I would be coming in from Los Fresnos and if she was positive that the vehicle was not sold. She said no the vehicle is right here, I can see it. I said ok. Then she said make sure to come in and ask for Annais. I told her that I had been speaking with Rocky. Without hesitation, she said ok we'll see you at 6PM and remember, my name is Annais. Something was fishy about that whole call. Around 530PM, I headed towards Mission. About 5 minutes into the drive I get a call from Oscar, another salesman from the dealership. He asked me if I was coming in. I pulled over, told him the whole story and asked is the vehicle I'm coming to see on the lot. Within 30 seconds, he looked it up and told me the vehicle has been sold. I said thanks and hung up. I'd give it negative 5 if possible. Unfortunately, Bert Ogden in Mission fits the negative connotation for salesmen and dealerships. There is a lot of inconsistent information coming from finance supervisors all the way to sexual harassment. Go anywhere but here when purchasing a vehicle, they will make an effort to not help you after you've bought the car but pretend to. I've gone through this twice and I guess I should've learned the first time. I spoke to the Jerry a month ago about a warranty cancellation from March, spoke to other people and have yet to hear back . I spoke to Billy today and there was no sense of ownership for their wrongdoings and lack of accurate information. I felt as if he was blaming the lack of clear and concise communication on me, the customer. I mentioned the fact that during my conversation with Hector Cano from finance he made a comment about his lawyer and her genitalia that made me uncomfortable, Billy seemed offended that I would even say "sexual harassment", Hector's remark was uncalled for and obscene. I am now waiting on Billy to return my call... I hope it won't be another month before I have to call them. After a few phone calls to the dealership and having to call the GAP insurance, my primary insurance and the extended warranty company itself several times, the issue came to a close. I spoke to general manager mentioned above, as well had to call a few times and recorded the last conversation where he asked why I cared the extended warranty receive the cancellation notice. The whole time I felt as if I had to fight to proof where the dealership was neglectful and had to inform myself of the process because I kept getting different information from Mr. Cano. After months of waiting, I confirmed the extended warranty company that they did NOT receive the request to cancel the warranty so the refund was not mailed to Bert Ogden who in return was to send it to my lender. I was told by the Director/GM, Billy several times that as a "courtesy" he would send a check from the dealership's account. He was very very and repetitive about the fact Bert Ogden hadn't sent the refund because the warranty company hadn't mailed one to them. I had called the dealership and texted finance and, even gone in a few times and every time told it was moving along. I asked the GM to ensure the warranty cancellation request was sent to the company to ensure that they sent the check back because after months of waiting I couldn't trust Bert Ogden would follow through with the "courtesy" check for their own neglect. I did mention to the GM I felt he was being condescending as he kept asking why I cared about Bert Ogden getting their check from the warranty company. I received an email today asking I mention the issue was resolved, out of a true sense of courtesy I will update the review with the facts. I considered being "petty" and taking months to do so but I can't let this experience rot the person I am. The refund check was mailed to the bank with about $100 less than the cancellation I originally signed and emailed the GM showing him what I signed (before the check was cut)already considering the $50 fee (as per what Hector has said, the quote already included the fee) but was shorted the money anyhow. After so much stress I endured I just took what they sent and left it at that. read more

Took my 5th wheel trailer to thier RV service department. Only reason for 4 stars is there is no RV store attached to this department. If you need a RV worked these guys are place to go. Great service mechanics easy in and out. Made a appointment ahead of time. The service tech called me to ensure what was needed to install and to make sure he ordered the right parts. Able to talk to service directly before and after work. They installed a new AC and even with extra work required did not change qouted price Even patched two small rips in roof no charge. Gave advice for future maintenance that will need to be considered. read more

Been there twice and both times I've had to wait several hours to have my car serviced. Seems like the dealership is short staffed up front and in repair department. Front attendant is more worried about finishing what is in front of his computer than litfting up his head and acknowledging the customer (me) in front of his face waiting to be greeted and helped. I'm from SA but visit my mom in the valley twice a month. I expected to get the same outstanding service I get at Ken Bachelor Cadillac but I did not. I'll just stick to getting my car serviced in SA. read more

dont get your hopes up with this outfit. found escalade online through truecar and was put in in touch with the dealership. in a nutshell - without even receiving a single document - they sent me a routing and acct# to send my substantial deposit to. I explained i just couldn't do this w/o assurances ie. - purchase documents. "ok - we will fed ex them - we need to know if you want warranty" let them know that evening i wanted the warranty - they informed me what new payments would be - we overnighting documents (wed night) - Thursday afternoon send follow up email checking on docs. no response. Called friday am - my "rep" at school conferences al day - said i needed answers and person helping me promised to check into it and return my call. called her back friday afternoon - "oh sorry - it was sold today".....what the heck - never heard of having to chase car salespeople down. didnt smell right from start - was even wondering if it was a wire scam, that how little was coming from their side ugh don't waste your time if your not walking into their lot read more

I will not recommend Bert Ogden to anyone. The financial department take advantage of the elderly people. They added other items on the contract that my parents were not aware of. All they know what to tell the customers is "please sign here and initial here." We had no problems with the sales person, but I think they need to be fair especially with the elderly. To Bert Ogden it's just another sale, and according to them they could not remove anything from the contract anymore. In this world what comes around goes around and we all pay our dues. If your parents are elderly, please don't allow them to go to Bert Ogden because they will eat them alive. read more
