Never before in my 45 years of filling up at a gas station have I experience a pump that didn't shut off when the gas tank was full. When I said to the attendant, "I wonder how much of the gas went into the gutter", he replied "It doesn't matter". Very bad attitude - no customer service skills. "It matters to me!" I thought. He indicated that it has happened before There was no apology for the malfunctioning pump and no indication that it would be repaired - he just turned his back and walked away from me. My recommendation - don't buy gas here.
