Being on an extended road trip, especially in a motorhome, you're often at the mercy of whatever may befall you. For me, after several days of rain over a few states, it was developing a roof leak. And not just a dripper, but a gusher. Checking with the manufacturer web site to locate a dealer with repair facility became job one. I started contacting each one the site gave me, but the answer was always the same: sure, we can get you in ... at the end of October. What good is that answer in an emergency. But this was gonna be warranty work. So what! Then I called Lake Regions RVs. I got a salesman who told me Ron, the service manager, wouldn't be in for a couple of hours. I said I'd call back, and took a chance, heading in their direction. Actually, it was the way I was going anyways. When I spoke with Ron two hours later, he explained they only handled Thor Chateau line, but he could fit me in on Friday after noon. A roofs a roof, he said. I had to wait two days to get in, but the Minnesota weather cooperated and I just enjoyed the serenity of my surroundings. Arriving as scheduled on Friday, Ron and his men went right to work. Within an hour, they had sealed up a large 6-7in crack and the surrounding sections. When I asked what I owed, I was told nothing, glad they could help, sorry I had to wait two days, that they would just bill it to Thor as warranty work. A roof is just a roof, after all. We are traveling through the area and part of the sway bar on our motorhome came off and was nearly dragging. I called Lake Region RV to see if they could just take it off so we could make our trek home. Unfortunately they said they were too backed up to fit us in the next day. It would probably take less than 30 minutes to help us out, but they had no interest even when they know they are the only option in the area. It was a bit of an emergency situation as we can't continue on with it hanging and don't want it to cause an accident. Pretty disheartened by the lack of small town America hospitality in Devil's Lake. read more

It is high class, all the way. All the sales associates are helpful and pleasant to work with. The service department does an excellent job and is efficient in getting you on your way if you find yourself in a bind. Couldn't be happier. I was contacted by John Cox, about a class B trade they received with 18,500 mile on it. At the time he let me know that there was another individual that wanted to buy it, however if I gave them a credit card deposit they would hold it for me till they could provide me pictures of the rv, in that they didn't have the most recent pictures, but the current owner had put less then 3000 miles on it. They showed me pictures of the rv when it was sold at there lot previously. They were very emphatic to let me know that another customer wanted to buy the same rv at the time I made the deposit on it Nicole drafted and sent me some paperwork that she stated would hold the rv for me till they could get me pictures and a car fax within a couple days. I provided my credit card information to them as requested. The purchase binder was unsigned by them, and they didn't request that I sign it either. I agreed to purchase it at a price they set on the rv, subject to receiving actual pictures of the RV, and as well a car fax, as well to find out if it had pets in it, had water damage, and or had been wrecked. I let them know I was going to be out of town over the weekend and would contact them first thing Monday morning. The only thing I requested was that the oil be changed prior to purchase. I received a call from the dealer on my voice mail stating that with my requirements that they did not think it would meet my expectations with no further details and to just consider the deal dead. When I contacted the owner of the rv dealership he wouldn't give me any specifics but just to say he wasn't going to sell me the rv without further explanation and because he hadn't charged my credit card there was nothing I could do about it. They wouldn't provide pictures or the information requested when I suggested to let me make the determination and not them. I asked him if he had sold the rv to the other party over the weekend, and he said he wasn't going to discuss it further with me. If anyone is thinking of purchasing an RV from them I would be very careful in dealing with them, or at a minimum deal with them in person if they will actually come out and meet you per the previous reviews comments. This was a very disappointing experience, and by the way they handled my transaction I would never want to do business with a company like this again. read more

He spent hours with us helping us find the right motor home that worked best for our needs. They don't try to force anything on you and they were very relaxed and patient with us. A business that is lacking in competence and integrity stands out as truly one you do not want to do business with. This organization is one you want to stay clear of...particularly when the purchase is this substantial. We purchased a Leisure Travel Van Motorhome in February of this year, with the dealership acting as a go-between with a earlier and first buyer. The vehicle was virtually new with 5000 miles on it. We love our Leisure Travel Van, and its overall quality. However, our difficulty began with trying to get a executable title for the vehicle, which through multiple tries, they finally got the paperwork filled out correctly -- right up to the time that the last temporary registration was about to expire. It did not help that the first buyer was not the most cooperative individual, but the dealership"owned" the execution of the deal to completion. They sold us an RV in February in Minnesota assuring us that the vehicle was winterized when it was not. That resulted in freeze damage that included the need to replace the water heater, the shower head and several filters, totally around $2500 in damage that the dealership originally balked at covering, implying that we were the ones that put water on board and that that was the cause of the damage. After a lot of pressure brought to bear and after an appeal directly to the manufacturer in Winkler, they finally relented. Subsequently, the water pump was malfunctioning as well (likely the result of the freeze damage, although the water pumps from this particular provider were malfunctioning on a more regular basis according to the manufacturer rep), and after we complained that we did not want to work with this Ramsey Minnesota company any further, the manufacturer agreed to pay for a replacement as well as the installation.
