Time and time again, I have witnessed two vehicles parked in close proximity where one has more severe or repeat violations and receives absolutely nothing: no ticket, no citation, no warning. Meanwhile, a vehicle with a valid license and a paid permit parking pass gets cited for something trivial. This is not an isolated incident. This is a pattern. At this point I have to ask, what is driving these decisions? Because from the outside, it doesn't look like enforcement. It looks like targeting. There is no logical explanation for why the most egregious violators walk away clean while compliant, paying residents get penalized. The people who are actually invested in this community: paying for permits, following the rules, deserve fair and consistent treatment. That is the bare minimum expectation of any municipal department. Right now, that expectation is not being met. This is not something I'm going to let go. I will continue to document every instance, continue sharing what I find with community members, and continue escalating this through every appropriate channel available until there is real accountability. The hypocrisy here is not just frustrating, it's a legitimate problem that deserves serious attention.

There are nice people but way too many that think they are big shots living in Oak Park. Oak Park is not the village it once was. It's much like living in a Socialist Republic. You can do much better in another city, town or village and another township. Just cross Austin Blvd into Chicago and you can find better prices and services. Oak Park if you are a renter is the pits as they offer basically no protection for bad landlords and also if you know someone that is what you need to get anything done or for them to look the other way.

My manager initially had not wanted to make the investment for valet services (back in December), but two days before the event, (as dangerous was forecasted), management decided hiring Valet parking 1991 was necessary. Jose Brito was very responsive. In December, he returned my call promptly and submitted a quote within days. He was equally responsive two days before the event. Their service was impeccable. The drives were punctual, even in the inclement weather, their uniforms were clean and they were immensely polite and professional. They even helped some of our guests in with their packages (above and beyond). We are extremely grateful that Mr. Brito was able to accommodate us on very short notice. I would hire in the future and feel confident recommending their services. Top Notch!

I've always thought "this is Oak Park (land of money), WHY does this place look like the bus station from Total Recall?" Then I put 2 and 2 together: end-of-the-line stop.....conductor kicks all the hobos off the train......hobos take up residency on benches. Well, that explains the distinctive hobo smell. But what about the badly-crumbling stairs going up and down? There really is no excuse for that. Commuter safety concern, hello! Oh, and the two Ventra ticket-issuing machines are MAJOR finicky when it comes to swiping your plastic. Way too many times I've stood there for what feels like an hour, desperately trying to complete a credit/debit card transaction, and getting rejected 80% of the time. Sure, I could carry cash and avoid the problem altogether, but that's not how I roll. I thrive on making things more difficult than they need to be. The convenience mart on the ground level is halfway decent and staffed by some friendly folks. Other than that, this 'L' station is the pits. Blecch.

I have noticed that whenever I take it, there is a huge percentage of people who IGNORE any and all rules because they don't believe in rules, except when they want something. They CONSTANTY are smoking on platforms. Eating CHEEKIN' wings and then leaving the crap on the floor for others to pick up. Eating cheep and getting their greasy fingers on everything - hence the reason I try and touch NOTHING with my bare hands on the train. They listen to their "SAIL" phones on speaker so the world has to hear both sides of a pointless and annoying conversation. Mostly grunting - few actual words. Then they start FACE TIMING - as if a cell phone could not get more annoying, someone had to invent this crap! Then there are those who feel compelled to smoke weed on the train. Leaving that CRAPPY SKUNK stank to linger. Pot USED TO SMELL GOOD, NOW IT SMELLS LIKE CRAP!! I despise the passenger, but the employees do a pretty good job!

Shortly after, I also discovered tire sidewall damage and required a tire replacement and alignment, costing me over $420 out of pocket, with additional wheel repair still needed. I documented the condition immediately and provided photos and receipts. Despite this, the company denied responsibility and refused to provide insurance information or properly investigate the situation. The valet attendant was also unprofessional and dismissive when I brought the issue up, and I was given inconsistent information about escalation and management involvement. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I would strongly recommend taking photos of your vehicle before and after using this service. However I will be filing a court case to recover cost of damage' for them to not get away with this, most importantly to be held accountable.

There are much better run, more accommodating, safer CTA stations with parking which I have experienced, but for those in the area, you're stuck. ps: The Yelp form just asked about "Gender Neutral Restrooms" - there are NO restrooms of any kind at ANY CTA stations!
