I wish I could give zero stars. My daughter went in with a photograph of the color she wanted. Was told no problem. Her color did not, however, look at all like the color in the photo at the end of processing. I commented that it didn't look the same and was told by the stylist that she "did not want to damage the hair." My daughter's hair is now "highlighted" a brassy orange-yellow, not the cool blonde that she wanted. I called and spoke with the owner, and was told it was because there was already box color on her hair. This was NOT TRUE and the stylist knew this. There was only box color on the bottom TWO INCHES (of very long hair) -- and it was cut off that day. (We had only bleached and then dyed the bottom two inches of her hair red for the state swim meet ... all the swimmers on the team did it). There was no other box color on the hair whatsoever. My daughter wants her hair fixed, but she does want to go back to the same stylist because she feels that the girl was inexperienced and did not know how to do what needed to be done. The owner was unwilling to give us a different stylist, or as in good salons, fix it himself. He continued to patronize me and blame (the nonexistent) box color for the poor job done that day. He refused to hear me when I continued to tell him that there WAS NO BOX COLOR on her hair except what his stylist cut off. I spent $238 on this poor excuse for a bleach job (including a $30+ blow dry) that made my daughter's hair brassy, orange, and dirty-looking. I became angry because we were going in circles -- him blaming box color, me saying there was no box color. He then refused to fix it at all. STAY AWAY. Karli is not a good colorist. Christian, the owner, is patronizing and a poor excuse for a business owner. Both perpetuated the same blatant lie for why they failed my daughter, and now we will have to go pay elsewhere for her hair to be fixed by an actual professional. Edit: you have now responded to my review with a lie. I offered to bring my teenage daughter back in for color repair on a day when the original colorist wasn't there so that my daughter would not be uncomfortable.. You said no, that she had to be the one to fix it. Also, the reviews you've posted in the last few hours in order to try to boost your star rating are shameful. How awful that this is how you handle legitimate customer dissatisfaction.-- through lies and fake reviews. Edit 2: I think it was wise of you to remove the fake reviews. Seriously, how embarrassing for you. Edit 3: I've spent an additional $70 to have her hair properly toned -- but the bleach job is so bad and uneven that her hair has horizontal stripes-and I paid another $50 deposit for a 3 hour, very expensive color correction which is scheduled for next week. I called to discuss all of this with the owner, but he hung up on me. Twice. read more

I have mixed feelings about this salon. My appointment was for 6:15 and all I asked them to do was to give me some very blonde highlights. I currently had a blonde balayage and was changing to all over highlights instead. However, instead of doing this, the owner game me an entire color correcting service which incorporated about six steps and kept me there until 10:00 at night. My hair did not need this at all and really didn't look that different from when I went in. The worst part was that I had to pay over $300.00 (including tip)for a lot of extra services not needed. I feel I deserve a partial refund. I never expected all this time and money when making this appointment. While I appreciate the effort, this could have been done much easier and less expensive in my opinion. Connie C. read more

Favorite hair salon in Wexford for blow outs! I was born and raised here and used to go to a salon not far away. I moved to NYC but still come home to Wexford to visit family a few times a year. I found this salon on Yelp and decided to try it based off the reviews. The salon is super nice and all the staff are so friendly. I have been going to Jackie for blow outs and she's amazing! And Bre showed me how to work with my natural waves rather than blow drying and flat ironing my hair almost daily. My hair has never been this healthy and bouncy! My initial haircut with Amber was lovely; I have shoulder-length hair and we did a 'lob with beachy waves' according to the style sheet I was given. I have greys, so we also did a root color and highlights. I specifically requested COOL root color: nothing warm, reddish or auburn. Pretty clear, but my wishes were not respected. On both my visits for color, I came away with Garfield-orange reddish blonde as a root color. Worse, on my last 2 visits for a cut, I was given an artless chop-job. There is the angled bob layer, then a 2nd layer about at the top of my ears that looks like a bowl was placed on my head. I phoned the salon and very politely asked for an adjustment with another stylist. When I arrived for the cut correction, Amber intercepted and asked if she could do the adjustment. I complied; she stood at one side of my head and made a few point-cuts. She literally did not even part my hair (it had blown everywhere from my sunroof) and she never moved over to the left side of my head! The whole thing took fewer than 5 minutes. Stunningly rude, improper, and indefensible, but I elected to leave, understanding that for some reason, Amber, no longer wished to provide me a skillful, even, and attractive cut. This stylist charges $53 for a cut, and one of my bills was over $200 for color and cut. I tipped well and was rudely treated with this uneven, unflattering chop job, and color tones that I specifically rejected in our consult. read more

Very disappointed in management's customer service. I was charged for a full haircut and did not receive one. The owner who called me this morning (5/16) was unapologetic and argued with me regarding the service I was charged for but did not receive. I even offered to send pictures or come by so she could see I did not receive it but she was not interested because apparently $40 is more important than a repeat customer. Hidden gem in Wexford! Easy to get to on 19 from Sewickley Heights, Cranberry and other areas. Big and warm atmosphere with natural sunlight. Quality products and services. A place you feel comfortable spending time. My best friend made her whole bridal party appointments here for hair and make up for her wedding. We had bagels and mimosas and they even let us practice a dance!! Was the perfect spot to hang out and get beautified. Best of all are the people. Christian the owner is the NICEST guy and constantly checked in on us the entire time. Definitely made it his mission to make everyone feel comfortable and be taken care of. My mom recieved a great cut and color from Bre! She had been going to a stylist elsewhere for 2 years who had left her hair flat, lifeless, and in dire need of color correction. Bre gave her a defined, slightly stacked bob cut that she had been wanting but her previous stylist failed to do, and revamped her lifeless color into a darker brown with tons of dimension. Sadly I wanted to like this salon. Cool decor... I got an appointment with the owner for my daughter for a subtle ombre. We sat down went over the 700 pictures my daughter pined on Pinterest, discussed the color and away we went. Now, my daughter's hair had never been colored- ever. I thought- hmm a few strategically placed highlights will make it look sunny and natural. NOT WHAT WE GOT. It took him over three hours to wreck her hair. It was bleached beyond recognition. The ombre was a distinct line between bleach and non bleach. She cried in the parking lot. To his credit he came into the parking lot to see if he could fix it. By this time it was 10 pm... I had a crying teenager and needed to get home. I didn't even have confidence that his "fix" would make it better. I made an appointment with Mandi at Azemi Salon up the road (should have done it to begin with) and she made her look beautiful. Not sure if they know what they are doing here. Be wary. read more
