I have been going to Allure for 7 years now and I experienced both previous owners and the new. I am a disabled person and the salon makes it a wonderful experience every time I am there. Tami, the new owner has made the salon thrive when many small businesses are struggling. The staff are always pleasant and professional. I was a regular customer for five years. Every 3 weeks I spent approximately $150 on hair services. I was always a very generous tipper too; 20 to 25%. This year Allure was bought out by new owners and the new owners run the salon like a boot camp. Some of the staff have confided in me about the low morale and miserable work environment. This week, for the first time in five years I missed an appointment. My husband compensated the hairdresser $250 for the missed appointment. I then received a phone call from the new owner telling me that due to the missed appointment I was no longer allowed to be a customer there. Really? I am beyond thrilled with my experience that I had at Allure today! I called around 11:00 to see if they had any openings for a hair cut with Ziggy and I was pleased when I found out they could take me at 2:00. When I arrived, Gina, Ziggy's assistant, greeted me and offered to get me coffee or water. She was very friendly! I have been to many mediocre salons and none of them equate to Allure. I explained what I was hoping to get out of the hair cut and Ziggy knew exactly what he was going to do. He was the first stylist to explain each step before he started cutting into it. I have very thick but fine hair and everyone always wants to take a razor to it. Ziggy was able to cut my hair in such a way that it lays so much nicer without the use of a razor. This was my first time coming here and I immediately felt a sense of trust with everything Ziggy said. He's been in the business for 35+ years and it shows. I also learned from him what the "cool" button on the hair dryer is used for. He gave me so many little tips and tricks to make styling my hair easier. I saw Tabitha for a cut and a highlight. She was amazing. She made sure she knew exactly what I wanted and gave it to me. She finally got me back to a color that I love which I couldn't get from other stylists in the area at double the price. The salon was clean and nice. Prices were the best I've ever seen. Everyone was having a good time and it was a great friendly environment. You can easily tell that the stylists there know what they're doing. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. read more

I am writing this in regard to one particular employee that has left me appalled. This past weekend, I was part of a bridal party, who were all getting their hair done for my brother's wedding. We all were satisfied for the most part, with the exception of the BRIDE'S experience. During our visit, Angel was taking care of her hair (and thankfully only her hair). He not only refrained from doing her hair as she requested, he kept using the term "retarded" to describe what she wanted, and how he anticipated she would look. In my life with a background of working with children and adults with special needs, using that word is completely UNACCEPTABLE, and DISRESPECTFUL! He finished her hair, with what he thought would look okay, which to everyone else, was awful. When we arrived back at our hotel, the receptionist, had asked the bride "when she was getting her hair done", which left her feeling mortified! Thankfully, one of her good friends was able to completely take out her hair and was able to re-do it, with about an hour to spare before she walked down the isle, making her feel confident and ready. PLEASE refrain from seeing this hair stylist, if you want to avoid being offended, and leave looking like your hair was never done!!! read more

Sara does an amazing job. I have tried several salons in the area and she by far gives the best hair cut. All I wanted was straight all one length. She gets it right every time and I don't have to suffer with long pieces, which drives me crazy. She is also very down to earth and a nice person to talk to while she is doing your hair. Being new to the area and having had some not so great experiences, I was thrilled to to find Allure and Ziggy Murin! Finally, a great haircut! I appreciated the time he took with me and his expert advice. What a great person! The salon was upbeat, clean and nice. Loved being able to walk out of there and go on with the rest of my day. I really love Allure and the staff !! It is a beautiful salon and very tasteful. Tammy always tries to accommodate me whenever I have to squeeze into her appointment book unexpectedly. During Covid they take your temperature, sanitize your hands , and follow all of the CDC ordinances. I am thankful and blessed to have such a wonderful place so near where I live. :) read more

This salon has recently moved to a new location. The new space is fresh,stylish, and relaxing. Owner and stylist, Judy Campbell, is sweet and extremely talented with hair color and design. The staff here is always pleasant and helpful. I especially appreciate the individual attention you get here, never having to wait while your stylist does several other people during your appointment time. I had been going to Allure Hair Designs for a couple of years and to my surprise was told that my stylist, Ziggy, was no longer working there. I later found out Ziggy was fired unexpectedly. I was offered a discount to continue with another stylist. Consequently, I chose Sara who turned out to be a very unprofessional and rude stylist. At one appointment while styling my hair, she received a personal call and then told me that she had to leave abruptly due to a family matter. I was left with soaking wet hair and I was turned over to an assistant to finish the job. On another appointment with Sara, I arrived 5 minutes late, and she was no where to be seen. She appeared from a back room about 15 minutes later, and told me that she could not do my hair as I was late. She then said that she could color my hair but did not have the time to style it. Needless to say I was flabbergasted and walked out of the salon. I would have expected one of the owners to call and apologize for this behavior, but nothing. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I went there for a Deva cut, which was not what I received. The stylist did use Deva products and said she was trained to do the Deva cut, but she did nothing like what I had received at the Deva salon in NYC. Most notably, she used a comb to pull out all of my curls while cutting them, which is completely contrary to how a Deva cut is supposed to be done. As a result, my curls look strange. I cannot speak to how their regular cuts are, but I would never recommend someone to go there who is looking for a Deva cut. The salon was clean and nice, and the staff were very friendly. It was only $40 for a cut, which was nice, but it was $40 that I wish I hadn't spent. read more

I love love love Allure! I am a long time client of Tammy's and I love my results every time. Ive even started bringing my 9 year old daughter here too. I've just checked out the gorgeous new location and it is fabulous and in a lovely plaza with a coffee shop and lunch place right next door. I usually do blonde highlights and some lowlights.
