Horrible, horrible experience. Way too expensive to hook up a dryer, took 3 weeks to get an appointment. Technican was incredibly rude. I told him when I opened the door that my husband has dementia, trying to prepare him for any abnormal behavior. My husband questioned the outrageously high bill, he lowered it by $20. I left the room to write him a check for less than 5 minutes. When I returned it was obvious they had been arguing over the bill...the technician said to me (in front of my husband), "You told me your husband has dementia but he's arguing with me and I'm about done".... Can't begin to say how dismayed I was to have him say that in front of my husband. This guy need some serious sensitivity training! He's obviously never been around anyone with dementia. Doesn't matter. He grabbed the check out of my hand and left. He was rude and unprofessional and his insensitive comment was unconscionable and frankly unforgivable. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone for anything. The price was $197 for 30 minutes of work doing a routine hookup. Maybe because we have a nice home, or maybe because they have no competition. Doesn't matter. Very bad experience. read more

Bought a new GE electric range and dishwasher from Best last November. We wanted to buy from a locally owned business. The salesperson was friendly and helpful. We bought floor models. The crew that delivered and installed the appliances were careful, helpful and prompt. The range is great, and has been problem free. The dishwasher is another story. We replaced our old Admiral dishwasher because it was no longer cleaning well, and getting progressively noisier. The new dishwasher looks great and had all the features we wanted. It's stainless steel and was rated as fairly quiet. We were very disappointed to find that it did not clean as well as our worn-out old one. When we called Best to come out and have a look, the repairman came very promptly. He had a quick look at it, ran part of a cycle, and concluded that it was working just fine. He tried to tell us it was the fault of "the government" that it couldn't clean adequately because of water conservation requirements. Unbelievable. Over the course of a couple of weeks it got progressively louder, actually rattling the house. We called again and they sent a different repair crew. They had to re-hang the motor, and agreed that it has problems. They said they needed to order new parts, and that it would take a week to ten days to get them. That was two months ago. I've called to inquire about following through with service, but apparently the repairman is recovering from an injury. Be that as it may, I find that Best Appliance does not stand behind the products they sell. We got a lemon that was not built well by GE. I would hope that Best would have worked with us and GE to make it right. As things stand now, I do not recommend buying from this store. Disappointed in GE too. If Best eventually makes good on this issue, I'll update the review to reflect that. read more

I was "had" by their mobile repair service. I scheduled a repair visit (90 miles away) for a broken 20-year-old Kenmore electric range, gave them the date and model number, and asked them not to make a special trip but to combine the visit with others in the area. They came out on their rounds two weeks later. On inspection, I was informed that Kenmore no longer made the parts for that model. An ethical company would have told me this to begin with. I was then charged $155 for a house call, the same as it would have been if they had made a special trip. "We can't help it," I was told, "this is our policy." read more
