We were not dissatisfied by the service person, or the fact that our oven was fixed. We agreed to pay the $149.00 initial fee for him to travel to our house to look at our oven. We did not expect to pay only for the part as you stated in your response, we merely wanted consideration and an adjustment to the price of the part due to the fact that the part was only $18.00. The technician told us the part would be $300.00. We did not in anyway, expect you to do the work for free, as you also said. We ran a service repair business for many years, and completely understand the "concept" of doing business. We feel your response to be condescending, and a bit insulting.

Every time I have needed service, Sears has been right on it and come immediately and when they were scheduled. Most of the time they arrive with the parts in stock and take care of me handily... Unfortunately, this time around for some unknown reason... They redirected me to a third party repairman who could not show up on the day that Sears scheduled. The gentleman came on the rescheduled day and said he had to order the part. This was a Friday. He could not order it till next week he said????? It then proceeded to take 2 weeks for said part to arrive and in the meanwhile, I've had no ice maker for the entire Summer-when i finally had to call and inquire as to whether or not they had gotten a part that normally takes 2-3 business days with Sears they were pretty irritated towards me. Once again, it had to be a Friday and when the guy showed up he was less than warm and friendly. I am very disappointed in Sears as I pay for an extended coverage plan on EVERY appliance with them and all of my appliances are Kenmore Elite from Sears. I certainly hope they rethink sending third party vendors who aren't super focused on customer service. Or timeliness I might add. I have come to expect a certain level of service from Sears and it is solely based on previous fabulous experience. What a bummer

A man from Genesis Appliance Service came out to look at my oven. The temperature kept dropping. He…read moreordered parts, and I paid him $587.00 to fix the issue. He replaced multiple parts, and shortly after, my oven still would not hold a temperature. I called him, and he said he would get back to me once he had an idea of what the issue might be. I reached out a second time, spoke with him again, and he said he would get back to me. He never did. I reached out a third time and spoke with his secretary; she said he would get back to me, but he never did. This incident happened right before Thanksgiving. We gave him grace because of the holidays and hoped he would make it right, but he never did. Today, we have never heard back from him, and we would have been better off taking that money and purchasing a new stove. We were just trying to support local businesses. Save yourself the time and money, and purchase a new stove instead of going through the waste we endured.
