I love this place! I used to live in La Habra down the street from this dollar store and I would go there all the time! They have everything!! The owners and employees have always been so sweet. Anything you need.... It's here! I came in to get some gangster gloves and walked out with a loofah, starch, pink sponge hair curlers, a snack for my pupper, window cleaner and a drain plug! Lol! My grand total was $12 bucks! There is so much to look at, take your time, don't rush. You might miss some cool little gadgets for the laundry or kitchen, maybe socks you didn't know you needed. There's also snacks and grocery items, in case you need to run in and grab a quick ingredient. Believe me when I say you will not leave empty handed! There is street parking and also a small lot in the back of the building. I keep coming back to this store for just about everything I can't find during this covid pandemic. They usually carry what I need and if they don't I come back a few days later and they'll have it. They really try their best to have hard to get items. This was the only place with toilet paper and hand sanitizer for a few weeks. Like the other reviews I was disappointed that they raised some of their prices by a lot. I thought the same thing that they were price gouging. But since then I've found out that the distributers and suppliers are the ones raising the prices. So they don't have a choice but to raise theirs too. I even looked into price gouging for distributers/suppliers and basically price gouging doesn't apply to them. Also, there are a lot of bids for products and ingredients for products like alcohol to make hand sanitizer. The demand is so high that it is driving the prices up for everyone. Support this small business. The owners are nice and will always try to carry items you need or request. I truly believe they are not price gouging because there are other items that they could raise because of the demand and they don't. read more

I went there to see what they are. I am a dollar tree lover. They where very disorganized. Much of there merchandise is unmarked. There stuff they have has no logical rime or reason. You have to walk all isles to find what you are looking for. Then it is not priced. You take it to the front not knowing the price. It's a hit and miss. When i visit my mom I enjoy shopping at dollar stores in the area, but NOT THIS ONE! I shopped here many times for deals, but have had two bad experiences with this spot. First I got bagged checked, assuming I was shoplifting. I glady showed my bag which was empty (i carry bags to bag all my items) they asked me to keep my bags upfront durind Covid. Im not leaving my bags out for people to touch during Covid-19. Im a small business owner, so no big deal I know thats something you have to deal with as a shop owner. I purchased a $10 shower head that lights up and broke as soon as I got home. When i went to exchange THEY WOULD NOT REFUND OR EXCHANGE. A $10 ITEM AT THE DOLLAR STORE, they manager did not seem to be surprised it broke, saying she bought it at closeout sale. Terrible customer service and they took me for $10. So a friend recommended this little gem. It's very organized and they have tons of things. They have many things for $1.00 and some other very inexpensive prices. It's one of those places you may find an amazing deal. You go back to get it and it's gone because it was an incredible deal. Lots of random finds. It's now a place I check out at least weekly. I had an overdue library book to return and on my way back I decided to take another route home. Usually I take La Habra Blvd but this time I went down Whittier and noticed this gem. Not everything in here is a dollar but they don't lie and call themselves a dollar store so that's okay. For seven bucks I got three pairs of good socks, a reusable coffee filter, a screwdriver set, a sponge caddy for my kitchen sink, a set of pens, and Reynolds Wrap foil sheets. The selection of products was really impressive. All these shelves were full, and it's a large store. If something does not have a price tag, it's a dollar. If it's higher, there is a bright red price tag on it, so unlike The 99, it's not a crap shoot at the cashier. The place is very clean and well-lit. The cashier was polite and efficient. The only complaint I have is that there is only one register, and there were a lot of customers. It was worth the wait though. I will definitely be back. read more
