This used to be a great school. Unfortunately, the current administration has failed this school,…read moreits staff, its parents and its students. I have witnessed first hand, rudeness towards parents coming from the current administration. Not to mention how the current administration cancelled all afterschool dances, a weekly afterschool zumba class, and various school fundraisers. The classrooms were stripped of microwave ovens and refrigerators. Cooking classes are no longer allowed. The current administration even went as far as closing the Administrative Assistant's position. The school no longer has a vice principal. The animal area containing chickens, rabbits and ducks was also removed by the current administration. The school yearbook was also cancelled. And even considering the fact that the current principal spent 10 years in the US Army, he also cancelled the morning flag salute over the schools public address system. Teachers and staff have had their positions closed, and/or their hours cut. Many staff have been moved by the principal to other schools and centers, usually women over the age of 40, and replaced with much younger, inexperienced staff, new to the district. Some older female staff have been forced into early retirement by being placed in assaultive classrooms by the current administration. Now honestly, would you want your mother treated that way by her employer after 30 yrs of dedicated service? There was once a "family" vibe here, and now moral is at an all time low. Unfortunately what was once a fun, positive school for students, staff and parents is now simply a dismal facility used to only benefit the current administration. Its time for a change.

That made me realize how much teacher-led, paper-and-pen instruction helps students focus and learn. As a transfer student, my daughter was warmly supported by teachers, her advisor, and the staff. The community is small, caring, and dedicated. I also joined a Board of Directors meeting before enrolling and was impressed by the school's organization and forward-thinking leadership. VIPHS reports an 81% college-acceptance rate, compared with under 60% at many nearby public high schools. The average class size is about 20 with a 15:1 student-teacher ratio, versus 30-35 students and ratios in the high 20s elsewhere. VIPHS is a close-knit, welcoming community that genuinely cares for students and prioritizes personal attention and academic excellence. Plus, drop-off and pick-up are so easy, a small but real bonus for families!

We are so grateful that we found ATU! Our daughter started here at 11 months in September 2025…read more Since then, she has flourished and is thriving. She shows new skills and knowledge every day and I'm 100% sure it's because of ATU. At drop off, she reaches for her teachers. At pick up, she is happily playing! I know that she is not only taken care of, but loved and cared for. Highlights: - THE STAFF! Ms. Judy, Ms. Maria A, and Ms. Maria F are MAGIC! They are such lovely people and so great to collaborate with. Dr. September and Ms. Mariah run an amazing program. We love that they are in the rooms, playing and caring for the kids as well. The other teachers are friendly and always say hi. - Communication is easy and pleasant. - The app with updates and pictures are a godsend to anxious first time parents like us. - They have cute holiday celebrations and send home heart warming art projects made by the kids. - Periodic parent teacher conferences about your child's development and milestones. As a teacher and first time mom , I'm truly impressed in these meetings. I learn so much about my child and their growth, but also get to experience all the expertise ATU's staff have. These meetings reassures us that we made the right decision to go with ATU. Thank you, Apple Tree!

As Coach Andy always says, those early lessons are as much for the parents as they are for the child, teaching you how to safely and confidently handle your little one in the water. His guidance made us feel comfortable every step of the way! By the second year, we transitioned to individual lessons, and now we do them exclusively. The progress our child has made with Andy's help has been tremendous. He has a wonderful way of combining play with structured learning, which keeps the lessons fun, engaging, and effective. Coach Andy has a gift for making kids and parents feel at ease. His energy, patience, and positivity create an environment where children are excited to learn and grow. Swimming is such an important life skill, and I feel grateful knowing our child is building confidence and ability in the water that will last a lifetime. If you're looking for the right place to introduce your child to swimming, Coach Andy at My Little Swimmer is fantastic. It's been a wonderful experience for our whole family, and I highly recommend it.
