I booked an appointment expecting to see an actual psychiatrist at 8:00 AM. I rushed to get there on time, and since I don't have a car, getting to this appointment was difficult. Despite all of that effort, Lalita Davidoff never showed up. I waited in the office until 8:45 AM with no communication. She eventually called me, and based on the call, I highly doubt she was even in the office -- it sounded like she was at home. This was supposed to be my first appointment with her and she created an awful first impression. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and assumed maybe she had an emergency, so I agreed to take the call. Instead, she acted as if nothing was wrong and showed no acknowledgment of how unprofessional the situation was. The only reason I agreed to continue with a phone appointment was because it took weeks just to get this appointment, and I urgently needed care. Honestly, not being seen at all would have been better. I wasted hours of my time. She was extremely cold, dismissive, and immediately started talking about putting me on medication without doing a full evaluation. After researching the medication she prescribed, I realized how inappropriate it was to recommend something that strong without ever meeting me or conducting a proper assessment. It genuinely felt unsafe. I also truly believe that after I mentioned her tardiness, she became defensive and blamed me -- even going as far as to gaslight my mental health concerns. The entire interaction was unprofessional, careless, and unacceptable. I will be reporting this provider to the medical board. No one seeking mental health care should be treated this way.

Anxiety, sleep issues, and fear of sea sickness since I am going on a cruise. Some years back, she helped me with the sea sickness, and it completely got rid of it. It was unbelievable! She starts off with an extensive questionnaire for you to fill out to get a good gauge on the issues you are wanting to work on. And then during your scheduled appointment, she spends a lengthy amount of time discussing your issues, your goals, and all kinds of other interesting and helpful things. When she records your session it is sent to you via text so you can listen to it at your leisure. I've only had the session recording for two nights and I listened to the session both nights as I was getting ready for bed.
