I booked an appointment expecting to see an actual psychiatrist at 8:00 AM. I rushed to get there on time, and since I don't have a car, getting to this appointment was difficult. Despite all of that effort, Lalita Davidoff never showed up. I waited in the office until 8:45 AM with no communication. She eventually called me, and based on the call, I highly doubt she was even in the office -- it sounded like she was at home. This was supposed to be my first appointment with her and she created an awful first impression. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and assumed maybe she had an emergency, so I agreed to take the call. Instead, she acted as if nothing was wrong and showed no acknowledgment of how unprofessional the situation was. The only reason I agreed to continue with a phone appointment was because it took weeks just to get this appointment, and I urgently needed care. Honestly, not being seen at all would have been better. I wasted hours of my time. She was extremely cold, dismissive, and immediately started talking about putting me on medication without doing a full evaluation. After researching the medication she prescribed, I realized how inappropriate it was to recommend something that strong without ever meeting me or conducting a proper assessment. It genuinely felt unsafe. I also truly believe that after I mentioned her tardiness, she became defensive and blamed me -- even going as far as to gaslight my mental health concerns. The entire interaction was unprofessional, careless, and unacceptable. I will be reporting this provider to the medical board. No one seeking mental health care should be treated this way.

The tools and techniques I learned in her class gave me the confidence and calm I needed--and I used them again when I gave birth to my second child in June 2023. Both births were completely unmedicated, peaceful, and empowering. I wasn't afraid--I actually enjoyed the experience. Alisha is incredibly warm, kind, and grounded. Her presence alone is calming, and she was always able to soothe any fears or anxieties I had. I even called her while in labor, and she guided me through breathing techniques that helped me stay centered. With my first, I arrived at the hospital already 9 centimeters dilated after laboring at home most of the day. It was a beautiful experience. My husband took the class with me, which was so helpful. He knew exactly how to support me and understood the birth experience I envisioned. Because I had such a positive experience, I even reached out to Alisha while my sister was in labor. Although my sister hadn't taken the course, Alisha generously offered to speak with her and provided much-needed reassurance during a stressful time. I didn't have to wait too long after I got there and the nurses were really nice and helping. They gave me another appointment for a pap smear test, because I asked for a prescription for birth control and apparently they can't do that unless they have my test results. When I went there for my test, there were 3 more people except the gynecologist in the room which was oh so uncomfortable. They told me they can just fax me the prescription after they get the results. It's been over 3 months after my test. I've been calling them over and over, have been on hold for over 30 minutes, have been hung up on after holding that long and I still don't have a prescription. I am so frustrated with them. Also, they don't have a direct phone number to call. Every time I call there there are at least 7 callers ahead of me. I only gave them 2 stars because when you step in there they are really nice and helping. They really need to do something about their phone calls, though. It's really inconvenient.

They bill your insurance a full office visit when you call on the phone to leave a message for the provider. If they call you back, they bill your insurance for another office visit. They probably bank on people not checking the bills. They claim that anytime someone reviews your file they are entitled to payment. This sounds like fraud since they are not providing medical care but just relaying a message. Also, when you have a virtual visit, they bill you completely different than an office visit and at a higher rate to your insurance company. Good luck speaking to billing. Check your bills and how they bill your insurance. Also, primary care doctors or nurses would not complete a medical form I needed with one yes or no question on it. If they cannot confirm documented medical information on a one question simple form then they are not equipped to proved complete medical care. Beware go to another medical group.
