Just moved to the Houston area a few months ago, and this was a really fun way to explore Houston! You can def tell that Star LOVES. FOOD. She was super energetic and excited and had many food suggestions, which she texted us after the tour. As we walked from place to place, she also provided some interesting facts/tidbits about the areas we were in. I won't ruin the surprise by telling you everything that was on the tour - not knowing was half the fun, but I will say it was a good mix of exploration, food, and drinks! This is a great tour! Star does wonderful job showing her guests around the city through food. We explored the historic district of downtown Houston and made 4 stops for food and drink pairings. What a fabulously fun tour with Star! This was a surprise birthday weekend for my husband with the food tour & a night at the Marquis, which was perfectly located to the start & end of the tour. She was so enthusiastic about our great city of Houston and super knowledgeable about the architecture, culture & cuisine it has to offer. We were also paired with such an amazing family group, so it made our tour even that much better! The food & cocktails were delicious! Our favorites were definitely the Rustic tamales & margaritas and the Brasserie Du Parc's crepe & surprise, signature lychee cocktail for dessert. We loved it so much, we went to the Rustic's amazing brunch the next morning (peek at their website for details). We had reservations at Brasserie, but we changed our minds to the Rustic only based on our cuisine mood at the moment but will definitely be back for Brasserie in the near future! read more

In the midst of Coronavirus restrictions, the virtual food tour was a great way to sample a variety of absolutely delicious dishes while visiting via Zoom. The cocktail kit was also beautifully crafted. Star, our tour guide, was a delightful source of info about local sites. My husband and I took the Best Bites Food Tour yesterday and it was amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect. I've lived in Houston since 1990 and felt I pretty much knew everything about Houston and have gone everywhere but I learned so much and had so much fun. Star, the guide and owner was a wealth of information, super bubbly, high energy..just all around great. The tour was very well organized, the restaurants visited during the tour were perfect, great food...all a little different with an interesting history. Definitely places I will visit again. We did the "Bites and Sites" tour. It was AMAZING, to say the least. Star is so knowledgeable and passionate about what she teaches you and feeds you.
