ANYWAY, Fresh Tap Tours is an awesome service that a) introduces you to craft breweries you might not have known about b) drives you around in an awesome, air-conditioned bus with snacks and c) lets you feel like you're learning something about craft beers and brewing while drinking! win! I took the Galveston tour with FTT--We met up at Nobi, a fine, craft-beer mecca here in the Clear Lake area. From there we went to Galveston Bay Brewing Company (an absolute gem that will have a review coming!), Texas Beer Refinery (currently shacked up at the Clear Lake Shores Food Park, as their facilities are under construction) and Galveston Island Brewing Company. All of these breweries were amazing, and completely new to me. The owners or brewers at each facility give you an overview of their processes and beers, and lots of bevs! They seemed genuinely happy to have us at their facilities. Your ticket includes one or more beers at each of the brewery stops and your transportation on a luxury, air conditioned coach. The FTT tour guides are super friendly, and give you snacks! We even made a stop at buc-ee's for bathrooms and beaver nuggets. Fresh Tap Tours has a number of tours available for different regions of the Houston Area, and I can't wait to try some of their other ones!

Fresh Tap Tours was very understanding and rescheduled us for "the connoisseur" (clear lake and galveston area), which ended up being fantastic! Jonathan was a great tour guide. We met at Nobi and then went to Texas Beer Refinery, Galveston Bay Brewing Company, and Saloon Door Brewery. Everyone was so knowledgeable and the beer was so good. We tried a variety of beers...the craziest ones tasted like watermelon, dreamsicle, smoked sausage/brisket, or chocolate and peanut butter. We loved all the breweries and will def be going back to visit each one. We had no idea there were so many throughout Houston, let alone in the Clear Lake/Galveston area. And Jonathan was great at offering suggestions for other breweries for us to try as well. Saloon Door hasn't even opened yet, but we were able to stop in and try a few! We were given snacks, koozies, sunglasses, and some souvenir glasses from the breweries. My fiance and I bought a crowler of the smoked beer as well, it was just too good to pass up. For $15 per person, you get an "All-Access" wristband which gives you unlimited rides all night. This is cheaper than a cab and if you plan on going to multiple places, cheaper than Uber. The Wave allows you to bring alcohol on-board so you can pre-game a little bit before you arrive at your destination. This is great if you have a large group of people because it really gets the party going. Riding this around closing time is a treat even if it takes a long time to get home, depending on the number of pick-ups/ drop offs the driver has to make. Drunk people dancing on stripper poles tends to be the highlight! The Wave can be reserved and has a small bar to store booze if you choose this option. I love The Wave!

The husband and wife team who owns and operates this company are so nice and do everything they can to make sure you have a great time while on tour. In addition to sharing information about the area you are exploring, they also share their personal insights and recommendations about places to visit on your own after the tour. We had such a fun time riding around the city in the golf cart and appreciated the flexibility and ability to book the tour during a time that worked for us. Texas Beer Bus provides a discount rate with Uber, which is another way to eliminate any concern with driving. The glasses and drink tokens were plentiful.
