Now a year later and the vehicle is sitting in my driveway with a dead engine. Contacted them and they do not care. They act like because they replaced the transmission TWICE within 5 months of purchase with no charge to me, as it shouldn't because it's under warranty. They think that that justifies their lies and shotty work. I'm seeking legal action now because I'm out almost $10,000 and they do not care to try to make any of this right. I purchased a car from best buy auto ,within a few days experienced some issues and they were more than willing to fix it for me. I came back a month later with some other issues. I was past their given warranty but they still were willing to help and took off the charge for the oil change. They have been very helpful and kept their integrity as a company in my eyes. Dont bother getting the warranty. They've had my van for a week and it's still not fixed. There has been very little communication and we inquired about getting a rental car the day after we dropped it off (also covered under warranty) and here we are 6 days later without my van or a rental. I'm a mother of two young kids and I cannot be without a vehicle this long- especially considering I purchased the warranty so I wouldn't be in this situation. I will never purchase from them again and I will tell everyone I know how awful they are. Now I'm forced to pick up my van that isn't complete so I can make it to my kids appointments only to drive the hour back in a couple days to have them finish fixing it. read more

I bought a car approximately three months ago there within the first two weeks I had to have an O2 sensor replaced, and 15 miles later I had to have a catalytic converter replaced. I asked him about the eggshell smell of the engine when I drive down the road and he said don't worry about it it's just the smell of the catalytic converter burning. Since then I have had to add a new headlight, and windshield wiper as it was broken. I had also noticed a small tiny crack in the windshield. It's hardly noticeable if it spiders out it's a problem it's not covered when I bought the car I was told to have $1300 down. I went through my paperwork and they recorded 12 down $100 of my money since I've heard of them doing that to two other people. I keep calling the last three months for my hundred dollar credit and I keep being put off by saying I have to get someone else to sign the check and I'll mail it out. The last time I called I was told that it would be signed Friday evening and mailed out to me. Of course it didn't show. I gave it until today, Tuesday. When I called back again today, I was told I put it in the system for him to sign so I don't know when he'll get a chance. I told him it's been almost 3 months. Make it a priority to return my hundred dollars I was scammed out of it. It never went to the finance company so it's just if I don't have it by the end of the week I'm calling the Better Business Bureau then I will go there and sit there until they write me a check. I don't appreciate being lied to time and time again. I would think they'd want to be proud of the car they're selling so they can get business referrals and repeat business. Until they prove otherwise and refund my money, I will have to use other legal means to obtain it and it's not about the amount. It's about the fact that I've been lied to so many times about refunding it, and the paperwork was misleading until I caught the error when I went through it page by page again. read more

Please share and spread the word about BEST BUY AUTO SALES at 7365 church street Syracuse NY. So I bought my 2014 Dodge Journey , from Best Buy auto sales March 28, 2020. I called them three days after I bought the car with problems. They old me there service department was closed right now. It was for three things wrong with my car , 1) missing plastic cover for middle seat in car, 2) left driver window switch working intermittent . 3) front and rear a/c not working. Finally I was able to get a hold of them at the end of May and they made an appointment for me June 3 to work on my car. I picked it up June 3, 2020 after they worked on it. I looked over the car and found they broke a plastic cover in my car, and they used self tapping screws to mount it back to the passenger seat. They never replaced the missing cover in the car that was missing at the time of purchasing. The salesman told me they would replace that free of charge. Then, to find out when I looked under my car they cut my rear A/c lines and capped my rear A/c off ,so I only had front AC in my vehicle. I really can't believe the service manager Luther, let that vehicle leave the shop cobbed like that. Never let Best Buy Auto sales, work on your vehicle or purchase a vehicle from them. It was a lesson learned for me. And I will be calling News channel 9 and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General for what they did. The sad part about this is they knew I was a mechanic before I brought my vehicle there.The only reason why I brought it there as they promised me they would make it right with me as the vehicle had issues from day one. read more

I bought a Car in April of 2018 and as of Today 12/28/2018 My car has had over $10,000 in repairs done to the car. The dealer ship has done a few repairs but not what they should have. I would NOT recommend Best Buy Auto Sales to ANYONE. My car has been in the shop more then I have driven it. I have had a New Axel, Transmission, Alternator, Tires, Cam Shaft, O2 Sensor, Steering Sensor, and so much more Done. The following is a portion of several correspondences between Best Buy Auto Sales management and myself. To date, I have had no satisfaction, nor reparation. Vehicle purchased: June 2017 Attn: Mark Buckmiller: General Manager, Best Buy Auto Sales, N.Syracuse, Waterloo, Newark, NY Mr. Buckmiller, You had requested the invoices for the replacement fuel tank for my Ford Explorer, as well as for the repair of such that was done by Quality Auto Care of Cazenovia Inc. I believe you received each invoice requested. You assured me that recompense of said repair would be forthcoming. As well as rectifying the aforementioned issues, you, Mr. Buckmiller, requested I bring my vehicle in to Best Buy Auto Sales, N.Syracuse, to have the problematic rear differential case leak repaired. You assured me that it would be covered by the extended warranty I purchased when I purchased this pre-owned vehicle from your dealership in N. Syracuse, NY. After stating all future communication be in writing, I received a phone call from Luther is the Service Department in your N.Syracuse, NY dealership informing me that the replacement fuel tank, as well as repair of such will not be covered by your establishment. He stated I should have brought the vehicle to the N.Syracuse dealership for repair. Obviously, I brought my vehicle to the nearest repair shop due to the safety issues associated with driving a vehicle with a leaking fuel tank. During the less than six months I have had the vehicle, I have contacted your dealership three times concerning necessary repairs; oil leak under engine, rear differential case leak, and gas tank leak. The sole repair I have received from your dealership was the initial oil leak under the engine. Your dealership refused repair in August of the rear differential case leak. Presently, your dealership (via your salesperson, James, who sold the vehicle to me) has again denied repair to the vehicle, specifically the gas tank leak. As any gas tank leak is a major safety hazard, and your dealership denied repair, I brought the vehicle to my mechanic. He discovered the leak was substantial to the point of engulfing the top of the gas tank. The top of the gas tank has rotted away. As I have had the vehicle in my possession less than six months, six "good weather" months, and given the fact that the vehicle has been driven "under normal use", your dealership sold this vehicle to me in this extremely dangerous state. The colossal failure of the top of the gas tank did not occur in the six months I have had the vehicle. This vehicle was sold to me in said condition. Any vehicle with a rotted gas tank does not constitute a vehicle that can deliver "satisfactory and adequate service at the time of delivery", or henceforth, and yet, your dealership inspected, moreover, placed a valid, passing NY safety inspection sticker on said vehicle. Furthermore, I purchased an extended warranty through your dealership. I was told by your salesperson, James, that in order to receive financing I was required to purchase an extended warranty. I left the dealership without the warranty paperwork. I expected to receive the warranty paperwork via postal service. I never received the hard copy of said warranty. Upon pursuing several times, I finally received via email, a copy of the warranty four months after purchase of said vehicle. Having recently relocated from MA, it is my hope that not all NY businesses deal with senior citizens in such a fashion. The thought that I was allowing my grandchildren to ride in this unsafe, leaking gas vehicle is nauseating. Your dealership has three business days to remedy, moreover make arrangements for such. Bought a used Vehicle from this location a few months ago. Alan was helpful, and informative in the sale of the vehicle. They offer a 30 warranty through them, and we purchased a 2 year with the vehicle. There were a few issues with the vehicle, some minor, some major. We took it to their shop in Newark, with a list of things wrong. The vehicle had trouble stopping, the breaks would lock up, it sometimes would not start unless the gas pedal was depressed, and electronic door locks. The shop had the vehicle on 2 different occasions, they never fixed the starting issue, slapped the brakes with grease, cut the lock wires, slapped electrical tape and sent the vehicle out, not one issue resolved. We reported these issued several times within their 30 warranty coverage, in wich these items SHOULD have been taken care of by them. We put the vehicle in the shop the other day, and it needs a new transmission, and thats just for starters! I am without a vehicle until one is found. This could have all been taken care of if they had fufilled their warranty. I have all the paper work, and the estimate thus far from the repairs being needed. I urge those looking to purchase a used vehicle from here, now i completely understand that things go wrong with a used vehicle, but don't offer a warranty if your not going to honor it. We have spoken with a local Attorney, and are exploring our options. PLEASE have your mechanic check these cars over with a fine tooth comb before purchasing. We will NOT be purchasing another vehicle from this dealer again. read more

This is for the BEST BUY AUTO SALES IN WATERLOO NY. I was recently was going to buy a vehicle from them. Asked if i could take the truck to have my mechanic look at it,which wasnt a problem. Brought the truck back with a list of items that needed to be addressed, that it was a $1000.00 worth of work and didnt include the labor costs, they never put it up on the lift, which by the way was were my mechanic found the problems was by looking underneath. Was told that he was not going to fix any of it,that i would find that on any of the cars on the lot...that it is normal corosion...I asked if there was another car that i could look at and was told and i quote " No, I think we will part ways here". He was very rude, could careless about what was wrong with the vehicle and is willing to let a potential buyer pay for it out of pocket. Why would u want to buy a vehicle that has multiple things wrong. I understand that it is a used car dealership but come on people not a very good way to sell cars. Very disappionted. read more
