I have recently purchased an I phone from best buy i filled out all the forms paid for unlocking the phone and the monthly contract through our bank account, the monthly plan was listed in the contract. Guess what when I received our bill from telus it was 234.24 dollars higher than the last bill , thats with paying our bill through our bank account to best buy for our monthly phone plan. I have contacted best buy and that was 3 days ago I have contacted them now 3 days in a row each day I can not contact the store there is no option for that. The reps say the store is busy I say look after your paying customers or hire more help to address the concerns of your customers, This service is very poor service to say the least it seems once they have received your money its see you later. The other thing the receipts they give you are 6 feet long and include no information. My final thoughts poor poor service best buy. read more

I ordered an item to have delivered to the store. They told me it would be in Monday, then Tuesday and Wednesday. Still nothing. Absolutely no customer service what so ever. No number to get ahold of anyone. Should have ordered through Amazon read more

Best Buy has no phone support, their only contact number has an operator who doesn't know anything. . There is no store outlet phone number to get tech answers before driving 40 minutes to insure they have compatible products in stock. I might as well use Amazon read more

Extremely great staff and service at store #706, Courtenay, BC ! My last 2 visits in the cell phone department were excellent! I was in a big problem with a cell phone service provider, just signed a contract etc etc and was quite upset. When I went in the professional was very helpful, informative, supportive, upbeat and courteous with helping me reach a solution to my cell phone issue. I left happy and feeling grateful. Their delivery service is extremely poor. You can't get hold of anyone at any time to check on things. They are suppose to give you a three hour window. Never happened. They can't find my tracking number anyway. Everything is done through their website which is absolutely NO HELP at all. So here I sit ALL DAY waiting. Ordered a tv on Boxing Day and been 2 weeks and still hasn't been shipped . Have gotten the survey email about how I like my new tv, hard to tell since It hasn't left the warehouse yet. Receipt said it would be shipped on 28th, guess they lied. Emailed a couple times and no response either. Terrible service to say the least. read more

Firstly, I feel sorry for the great floor staff that must labour under inferior conditions whilst attempting to expediently provide the best customer service to the shoppers. We ALWAYS spend $$$$$$$ when we buy there .....as do others. The PROBLEM???? The Best Buy computer systems do not function ....they are useless. The customer, after half an hour of being held up by the stupid computers makes shopping at Best Buy an exasperating experience. I just want to go to another store that keeps the computers ONLINE AND FUNCTIONING At ALL TIMES. The exasperation and frustration is on both sides: the staff and the customer. It's a VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE to have TO WAIT 20-40 minutes longer because of the damn store computers. This should not be happening. Trust me Best Buy....this is causing customers to shop elsewhere....and I am one of them. Just put out $6000 for electronics and I don't think I will shop at Best Buy again. Tired of the waiting for info on products and the actual payment ....far too long and frustrating. I feel sorry for the staff who must continually apologize to the customers. By the way, the staff are excellent. The corporation makes it very difficult for them by having such garbage computer systems to work with....it's NOT A GOOD SELLING POINT!! Just an update on my review: An individual representing Best Buy (I think perhaps head office, not this particular store) emailed me after I posted on Yelp and apologized profusely for my negative experience. This individual was skilled at empathy and attentiveness to details. Ultimately it was explained that there were a lot of new hires for the holiday season (I ordered these machines in early October) and a lot of employees still in training. I was offered a gift card towards future Best Buy purchases and they thanked me for my feedback. (I don't know if this includes Ace Courier - the company they sub-contracted delivery and installation to however Ace Courier did ultimately send a different, more senior (1 year) individual on a separate, second trip who could install the machines.) read more

We had a problem with a TV that was bought at a different Future Shop location on Vancouver Island. It was my (early) Christmas present. The TV was exchanged without hassle at the Courtenay store. August 6 my husband and I came into FS in Courtenay with a glitch in our lap top, that no amount of trying on many front could solve. On line to My Apple got us nowhere and many tries and goggling by us with no satisfaction. In comes Miles at the Courtenay store and problem solved in minutes.
